A little shocked that anyone had spoke to him, he turned his head towards the grey wolfhound that had addressed him. "I uh...heard that there was a big meeting, and wanted to see what was going on," he lied. He didn't want to let anyone know he had come here with Slimeball, especially if he ended up part of the attack. He stood and stepped over to help Event with the strap.

"Name's Poison," he said. "And I think I can take care of myself, thanks." He said tartly and took a step back from the police dog. "I'm ready to get this show on the road." he said, glancing between Event and who he assumed was Vegas, the only one accompanying them.

Vegas glanced around while Event made with the pleasantries. As far as Vegas was concerned this was just like any other day on the job, especially since he was technically still on duty. Having the other dog tagging along would be just like having one of the trainees following after him and he wasn't too sure he had enough patience to deal with it.

He did know however, that he needed to be polite, it wasn't the other dog's fault that Vegas was having a rather long morning which was about to become an even longer day and so he flashed a smile and introduced himself "The name's Vegas, pleasure to meet you Poison. You look like you've got some muscle to you so I'm sure you'll be fine but like Event said, if anything happens and you change your mind about coming along you let us know."

With the introductions complete Vegas looked to Event, after all, Vegas was new to the Summerwood force and he felt that the senior officer should be in charge. "I'm ready when you are, go ahead and lead the way."

Vegas, (and presumably his group) have left the meeting.

Sweetpea's mood was almost dampened by the news. Her tail stopped twitching and her ears drooped just a fraction, and she dutifully stepped up to Santos, only to be excited again. Oh! She'd be with Wileus! She knew she'd be safe then. The aussie stepped over to her shepherd leader and wiggled. "How kind of you, Wileus. I'd be happy to stick with your team."

Santos waited until he'd finished assigning teams before he padded toward the group he'd chosen to search with. "It'll be an honor to work with you too, Kaiden," he replied, loosing a bit of his composure from the announcement to shake off the stiffness in his spine. He needed to shake away more than that though; all of the shock from the news that he held, the anger, it all needed to go if he was going to be in any way helpful.

He turned to the German Shepherd he'd assigned to the team, catching her name from Kaiden. "Blayze? Thank you for joining us.. We should probably head out soon. We've got a lot of ground to cover."

So Red knew Wiley. Good. That meant she could keep Stripes under her wing, and then Jacques could be on point. Wriggling into her vest, the Akita stretched out, shifting its weight between her shoulders. The restraint collar was heavy in one of the pockets. She hoped that they'd get to use it today. She nodded at Wiley, wagging her tail to him. She very much wanted to keep intra-officer tensions low; the happier everybody was with each other, the better. "Welp, I'm of the opinion that we hit the dirt. Red, Stripes- look sharp. You don't have to stick in the officers' shadows, but don't be sprinting off. Vigilance is key where we're going." With that, Boston headed out towards her group's assigned area.

Shasta gave a small sigh. Well, looked like at least she wasn't the only one that didn't know what exactly was going on. But now that the dachshund, Basil, brought it up, she noticed the vests as well by a white great dane. She had to sit up on her haunches again to see them, but they were there. "Oooh, there are vests up there. You gotta be right then. It probably is something really important." She gave Basil another friendly grin. "I'm Shasta. Nice to meet you."

Her attention was drawn towards the white great dane when he started to speak. So that was the Chief of Police? Shasta made a mental note of what he looked like. Just in case for whatever reason she needed to find the chief of police. Wait, there were strays? Outcasts? An attack? Her ears lowered. This really was something important.

Groups? They were all being assigned to groups? She sat and watched quietly while the officers were paired up to lead a group. And to her surprise, she discovered that Basil was an officer as well. Well what did ya know? It was nice seeing some of the smaller dogs on the force! She knew (through word of mouth, so to speak) there was a corgi on the force as well that was widely known. Shasta listened until they were allowed to approach to learn of their group assignments. Once she was told hers, the corgi perked up a little. Oh! Basil would be in her group? That was at least one dog she knew now! And a fellow small dog at that. She squeezed around other dogs, nose twitching as she hunted for her group. And almost ran into one. Blinking, the corgi looked up (really up) at Rostam.

"Uh, hi there! I think...I'm in your group. Name's Shasta."

((I may disappear for part of the afternoon as I have a job interview to attend. If I don't get to post until later, Shasta's group can just assume she left and joined the group thread and I'll catch up later in the afternoon/early evening :3 ))

Wiley wagged his tail, happy with his group. Boston was certainly spunky enough. Speaking the Akita...Wiley turned to see her already starting to trot off to their assigned area. His black and tan ears flattened down a bit. "You know, sticking together is, too." He mumbled. Oh well. If Santos was right about the attack, then it was dangerous for Boston to be out on her own. It was time for the rest of the group to head out as well. "Why don't you call me Wiley, ma'am. Only my parents ever called me Wileus. You too." He nodded to the Doberman. "Now come one everyone, we'll all get ourselves acquainted on the way." The shepherd motioned for Jacques, the doberman, and the Aussie to follow him out towards the East-side.
Wiley and his group have left the station.

"Okay," she nodded agreeably, "But for the record, I rather like Wileus." She trotted after him as he moved away from the police station, entirely trusting the officers to know what to do.

((Sweetpea has exited with Wiley.))

Blayze wagged her tail when Kaiden spoke to her clearly remembering her. "I'm glad to see that you're making tracks at becoming a fine police dog." She said before looking at Santos, "Yep that's my name. And you're welcome. Glad I can be of some help. Well I'm ready to go when you all are. We're going to the area of the city by the sea port?" With a nod of her head she left the meeting and headed to their area.

Doyle had to cough to cover a snicker when he heard the enthusiasm from both Pippin and Kogeta Yuki. "Most just call me Dark Stranger. I just wander around wherever." He paused for a second and shook his head, "My 'owner' never really cares if I come home or not... in fact I barely check in anymore." He didn't want to come right out and say he was a stray and he did have a owner like that in the past, in fact it was the last person to ever own him. "I think we should go now. That pretty lady who is in our group already left to our assigned area." Doyle quickly made tracks to the Farms.

Pippin was quite intrigued by the Dark Stranger's little life story. A dog who knew the streets but wasn't aligned with one of the packs? This could be very useful. He already probably knew the scents of the key players on the stray scene and would be good at tracking them. Of course, he'd have to be watched in case he had... loyalties he hadn't told them about- or if he was afraid of retribution. The little corgi was unfortunately very familiar with street justice and didn't want to see anything happen to an innocent Labrador. "Our friend the lab is right; Officer Yuki, we should head out. Let's each take one of the bottles of water; I might be small, but it's certainly no burden." Pippin followed the two volunteers out towards the Farms.

Arimik couldn't keep track of the conversation but he figured they'd said their names he might as well say his. He nods at both Boston and Wiley.
"My name is Ari by the way." He mumbles long after they left him behind. He sighs and trots to catch up. He stays with the group as they leave. ((Sorry I couldn't come up with anything better. There was a lot of talking going on))

Milo looks round at the slowly growing group around him. He smiles at the blue, brown, and white husky."Welcome to the group ma'am."He spots a slime colored Kai ken. "Same to you sir"Milo waits for the rest of his group to appear so they can head out.

Basil listened intently to what the Sargent was saying. A group of out casts where going to attack? It shocked Basil that anyone would attack the town. He was new here but it seemed nice. Still the jobs was to find out who was going to attack and chance where they'd find out why they where going to during the search. He nodded to Shasta "It's nice to meet you to." Hearing his name called he made his way trough the crowd nodding to Santos as he picked up his vest. After putting it on he went to join his group. He was relieved that there where other officers in his group they would know the town better than her did. "Hello Everyone I'm Basil."
Basil has left with his group.

Pita trotted towards the meeting place, his head held high as he tried to make himself look as commendable and amazing as possible. The result was….well, not that he wanted, to say the least. The pompous pom looked more like a little furry tumbleweed bouncing in on the winds rather than someone with prestige and power.

His little black body blended into the crowd as he weaved his way towards the front of the group, his poofy monstrosity of a tail going one hundred miles a minute at the prospect of partaking in whatever this meeting was about. He loved his work, hell, his job was his life---He wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world. And because it was his pride and joy, there was a need to flaunt how great he was at it, so people could aw at his splendor and tell him how fantastic he was. That attention, it fed his ego, pushed him to go further, in fact, it was everything that he was. A life without praise, well, that wasn’t a life at all in his eyes.

The tiny little pooch quivered in excitement as Santos started talking. God, he wanted to be just like that Great Dane. All big and powerful with a ton of power. The fact that he was born in such a small body still bothered him to no end. He was one of the alpha dogs for crying out loud! Alpha’s weren’t supposed to be ankle biters, they were supposed to be large and great like Santos was! Therefore, he would have to prove his worth constantly as a police dog, to make sure that no one saw him as a lesser being, some stupid git that they could push around. Because he wasn’t! And if anyone said he was….Oh, there would be some hell to pay. He’d make sure of it.

His ears perked up at full attention as he absorbed every word that Santos said. An attack on Summerwood? Who would do such a thing?! It was such a great place that he had a hard time fathoming who would plan such an event. It also sent a jolt of anger and excitement through his body. How dare someone attack what he called home! To damage such a place…In his book that was a crime worth death! He’d make sure that they would pay for the heinous crime that they created, even if it meant passing on. At least, if he died in action he’d be hailed as a hero, right?!

Pita trotted up to his vest when his name was called, ecstatic and fired up. He didn’t know who this Kaiden guy was, but if he was an officer like he was, he was sure that the guy was alright. As long as he didn’t get in his way or anything, that is. He hoped that all of his team mates would agree with whatever he wanted to do.

After a bit of fumbling with his vest, the little black ball of fluff flounced over to the rest of his group, eager to start. Santos had picked his group to be in. He didn’t pick any of the other groups; therefore their group was the best! It just had to be!

The small dog shook in anticipation, opting to pace to and fro as he looked at each of his team members faces individually, a smug grin gracing his face.

Cirrus, for the most part was quiet as he listened to what Santos had to say. Unlike the pom that he saw, he decided to hang in the back of the crowd and silently watch what was going about. There was no need to go up and crowd about the Great Dane, at least, not at the moment. If there was a need arose to crowd about the giant then he’d be there, but for now, he would sit and take in what he could.

The Doberman was a bit taken aback at Santos words. An attack at Summerwood? Sure, it was probable but why would someone want to? What was their motivation, was the attack, true? Was it just a trap? A million and one different possibilities ran through his brain like mental greyhounds racing around the track. And, like the stars in the sky, he couldn’t grasp one idea and wrap his head around it. However, instead of placing a jolt of excitement through his body, it sent a chill of fear as his mind ran through all the different scenarios, more bad than good. It was nice having other dogs around, sure, but what if they got hurt? It wasn’t their job to be here. He really didn’t enjoy the prospect of putting innocent lives in danger, even if they were willing to participate. It just…wasn’t right in his brain.

Cirrus snapped out of his thoughts as his name was called and ambled towards the vest that was apparently his for this mission, taking his time to put it on and make sure that everything was secure before turning towards his group. If there was danger involved he would have to protect the innocents in his group, he decided. It was his job to protect and serve, after all. With that thought in mind, he sat next to the green Siberian Husky and nodded towards the group in greeting. “Names Cirrus,” he stated, his voice and posture expressing no emotion whatsoever.

Rostam nodded a greeting to each of his team members as they arrived and when they were all gathered he introduced himself "Hello everyone, I'm Rostam. Very nice to meet you all, though I wish it were under better circumstances."

He took note of the names of his team members, the corgi was Shasta and the dachshund was called Basil, neither of the officers had introduced themselves which he found a little odd but there was nothing to be done about it now, perhaps later on they would mention it or he could ask them of their names. At the moment though it looked like they were moving out and he cast a glance at his other teammates "Looks like we'd best get moving or we're going to get left behind."

Rostam has left the station following Biss & Spectre.

Chuckie's ears pricked forward. An attack? On Summerwood? And Chuckie hadn't been invited? The pitbull growled fiercely. He ought to find this pompous stray and teach him a thing or two about playing nicely with one's superiors. He plopped down into an awkward sitting position, with his legs splayed out to either side of him. How perplexing. Chuckie certainly hadn't got wind of any attack, so who could be pulling the entire thing?
The Pitbull frowned in deep thought. He had two options. Crash the party and join in on the fun, or go after whoever had left him out. The again, why couldn't he do both? He could impede the officers' investigation and hope the attack would go through. Then, in the midst of battle, find their leader and rip him to shreds. He started to giggle. Maybe he could go after Santos himself as well. The police department would crumble if Santos died. And with no police department....Chuckie bust out laughing again, thinking of all the chaos he could cause unchecked.
Blinking away the tears that had formed in the corners of his eyes, Chuckie surveyed the groups leaving the station. There were so many to choose from! Santos' groups was tempting, but he wasn't confident he could take all of them combined. Chuckie spied a group being lead by a corgi. A smile twitched on his lips. That group would do just fine....
Chuckie giggled and disappeared down the alleyway.

Chuckie has left the station and is following Pippin's group to the farms.
