Rouge snorted. "Suuuuure ya ain't. And I'm sure that was just a water gun back there that hurt my hat." The jester pointed to said damaged hat. Then the jester pulled a small bottle from the gap, moved the box side back in place, and pushed some gravel back in front. That task done, Rouge stood again. "Keep it. These, too." As the clown had started to pass, it grabbed one of Inigo's hands and pressed two pills into his palm. Rouge held out the bottle for a couple seconds so Inigo could see the label of the mild painkillers.
That done as well, the bottle was tucked out of sight somewhere under the shawl part on the left hand side of the clown's costume. "You... When you're done, go that way." Rouge pointed down a street leading back to the city lights. It wasn't all that far, really. And that was it. This guy probably wanted to be well away from here before the sky got completely dark, in which case he was quickly running out of time. "Or call one of those emergency number thingums. Shouldn't take too long for them to get here." Everyone carried phones nowadays, right?
Then something Rouge hadn't originally been planning on happened: the jester reached under the right hand side of the shawl, and in the next moment let a familiar wallet land next to Inigo. There. Now this crazy person wouldn't have any reason to come back to areas like these. Rouge turned and started for the fire escape.

"You don't--ah," it seemed the clown was going to make him keep the water - and pain killers - regardless of anything he said. Not that he wasn't grateful, of course, but really, a homeless clown shouldn't have to give other people thi--
Hey, his wallet! He opened it to make sure the most important things were there - his license and some pictures, he didn't even bother to check if any money was still in it - before he shifted and slipped it back into his pocket.
When he looked for Rouge again the jester was already starting to descend the fire escape. He hesitated a moment before saying, "thank you." Inigo then relaxed for another couple of minutes after the clown's departure, getting used to the view before he opened the bottle, downed the two pills he'd been given with a few gulps of water, replaced the cap and attempted to stand. It wasn't too horrible, but he still couldn't wait for the pills to kick in.
It took a while to reach his car, but at least he'd made it, and by the time the vehicle was leaving Camphoreon's city limits, it had started to snow.
