With obvious effort, Daimhin calmed himself. He was losing his temper. He didn't want to snap and do something regrettable. She wasn't going to escape, she was just aggravating. He could deal with aggravating, he told himself. Unenlagia was even more irritating on his more arrogant days, and Daimhin still managed. "All right. You can think there. That's fine." He looked at Carmilla and jerked his head towards behind her, indicating that she should leave. He no longer needed her deception skills and no longer wanted her as an audience.
With a haughty lift of her head, Carmilla turned to leave. "You be good to Daimhin, little lady," she called at Kayleena over her shoulder. "Because if he gets tired of you then one of us will get you... and we're not nearly so nice." She smiled, as if at a joke. The usdia would soon learn exactly how forgiving Daimhin was. As soon as she realized the dark nature of their herd, Carmilla bet that she'd be clinging to Daimhin like a wart. It was either that, or become skinwalker food...
With nothing else to say, Svanbjorn followed after his mate. Whatever happened with Kayleena, he doubted it'd be a pretty ending.

Kayleena gave a quiet sound as the pair left. It was just Daimhin and herself again. She'd been brought here through deception but a small part of her felt relief. Although fear coursed through her she tilted her head up towards the stallion who'd crafted the deception with a small puzzling look. Figuring out the reasons behind this plot would be trickier than anything Kayleena had dealt with. Still for now she was stuck it seemed.
Daimhin seemed to have calmed down a little and Kayleena was in no hurry to have it flare up again so she considered Daimhin's earlier words before letting her thoughts wander. It was so much easier to do this than focus on what a mess her life had suddenly become. Although there was one question she did want answered. She gave a small shiver before breaking the silence. "Daimhin, I'm not going to meet this Samsara ... am I?"
