    SPACEXXSPACEDrauth "Aelaera" Shelaren

SPACEDrauth reached out for the hand offered to him and shook it. Although his form wasn't particularly impressive for a Prex, he still displayed quite the grip with his handshake. And as Axil had been watching them fight the wolves earlier, likely he knew that Drauth was quite physically strong despite his appearance. "One can never be too careful. Who knows what dangers stalk us all in the blinding snows." he replied with a small smile, making a small jab at Axil's sake. Likely Axil was also wondering why Drauth keep his weapon wrapped around his arm in such a way instead of carrying it in a more accessible manner, especially since he had just advocated caution as well, but again the fight would mostly answer his question. Like the race he most resembled, save his fur, it would seem to most that Drauth was more inclined to the brute force aspect of fighting. Of course, those that knew him well knew that rarely relied purely on his strength when he really fought. In fact, Drauth had multiple different fighting styles based on how invested he was in the fight, although it had been a while since he had actually been forced to use them.

SPACEBut he and Veyahn had a job to perform, so it would be best to wrap this encounter up as soon as possible. Unlike Veyahn, Drauth knew Axil had started following them after the tea house, so it was not likely that he was looking to hinder them or claim their goal for his own, but one could never be too sure. And Drauth, as an agent of chaos and destruction, was rather naturally suspicious of the motives of any person. "Unfortunately my companion and I are rather occupied at the moment, so might I inquire as to your business with us?" he asked in that melodic voice of his. Despite his calm posture and demeanor, his unnervingly cold, blood red eyes continued to bore straight through Axil's deep blue ones, watching for the slightest hint of deception or ill intent.

Axil-Mortan

He nodded at the Veyahn. She was unsure about him, he could tell by her eyes and the way her chest moved. He understood this since he had appeared from almost no wear. He shouldn’t have grabbed for his weapon but it was a reflex of battle. ”It is a pleaser to meet you both. I still must apologize for sneaking up on you both.” He shook hands with Aelaera and was taken aback by his words. The man was making a joke but Axil didn’t find it funny. He stared into Aelaera’s eyes and felt like his very soul was being looked at but he was not afraid. Many of warrior knew this method of psychological warfare.

He listened to what Aelaera had, they were on a quest of some sort. ” I only wish to travel with you both. I saw you both when you exited the house back that way.” He pointed toward the tea house. ” If it’s alright with you both, I can lend a helping hand if you get into trouble. I am a master of many different styles of fighting and I am the only scythe master I know!” He said with a smile. He turned two them both in turn. Well, what do ya say?” He had traveled with many in his life. He had made many friends that way. He was most likely only going to follow them to their location but he would only know when they got there.

Aisling 'Ash' Maia

Aisling glanced at the Volv across the table, and could easily tell her race now that she was up close to her. Aisling was usually really good at guessing--but didn't spend a lot of time checking that out, or even caring really. The woman didn't seem to pleased that Aisling had joined the trio, and she wondered why the sudden opinion, but then her hands caught her attention once again, and her scars brought her back to life.

The fact that her skin was just as pale as paper, and her scars were dark as night, due to the singing of the skin when she had carved them--caused a lot of people to feel strange around her when she did happen to communicate with other people. The other woman, however, Viloth, seemed rather friendly--she even suggested to Aisling that she order some tea, seeing as she looked pretty soaked. Aisling was only wearing her tank top and pants, boots and her cloak. That was how she felt comfortable. Too many binding cloths made her feel too caught up in things.

"Thank you." Aisling finally said to the lady who had brought her her tea.

By then, Viloth had begun speaking again about how she had a wonderful place for them to go to seeing as it was cold, and this particular place seemed to make more sense because it was warmer --and there was no snow. Curiosity stricken, Aisling turned to face the tall woman, and listened further. She began to talk of springs, and how the water goes straight up, and then the hot springs. Aisling had only heard of the Miracle Springs once or twice, but had never actually visited them. She had to admit, she was pretty interested.

"Please, do consider every aspect of the places you go, Aisling, because you never know what could happen in those places." Artemis responded quietly in her head, a hint of seriousness in her head.

Aisling shuffled nervously, feeling her hair begin to dry from the damp way they were before, 'I believe that everything will be fine. At least...that is all that I can believe, seeing as there is not much for me to consider from the description she has given me...Like she said, it could turn into an adventure.' Aisling thought to Artemis, who was either ignoring her, or she had no idea what to say.

Aisling turned to Viloth and smiled a little, her teeth shiny white. "I think it sounds nice." Aisling paused again, glancing at the other woman. "That is if you two don't mind my tagging along." she said finally before looking back at the fire before her.

VeyahnBakar

spaceAhn finally bent to pick up her bag when Axil and Drauth shook hands. She watched the two of them silently, trying to make a decision about Axil. The more he spoke the more harmless he seemed, but she just wasn't sure. When he asked to travel with them, her hair fluffed up in the manner of an irritated bird, but was hidden by the hood of her cloak. Gods, grant me patience... she thought. She just wanted to move on as quickly as possible and hopefully warm up a little. "Why do you want to come with us?"

Axil-Mortan

He thought for a moment on what Veyahn. ” I just need someone to travel with.”He said as he looked around at the snow. The snowflakes touched his skin and melted on contact. He didn’t wasn’t to tell them he had been alone for a good year. He had lost so many people over the last four years. So many friends, so many lost to needless battle. He knew that the life of a warrior was more often than not, a solitary one. He was tired of being alone and maybe he could make good friends with these two. His eyes were full of sadness as he thought on his past but he quickly shook off the memories.

” Well, if you both are willing to except me. I would be glad to join you both.” His face was cold and emotionless but his words were from the heart. He was ready to move before more wolves moved in on the three. He was sure the three of them could easily handle hundreds of wolves on their own, but he was not willing to take any chances.

    SPACEXXSPACE_Drauth "Aelaera" Shelaren_______

SPACECompanionship? That's all the man wanted? Drauth found that very hard to believe. Those that said they were in anything simply for the companionship almost always had an ulterior motive in his experience. Drauth was only accompanying Veyahn for the pay, for instance. Still, he couldn't detect any outright deception in Axil's heart, but he was still suspicious. Axil was definitely leaving something out of his story. The sadness behind his gaze hinted at perhaps a lost lover or companion in the past. And angle Drauth could perhaps play in the future. The man's whole demeanor pointed towards a hardened warrior, but even the most stone-hearted killed had a weakness and Drauth was always looking for them. When you understood a person's very nature, it becomes extremely easy to manipulate them or completely destroy them with a simply whim.

SPACEBut that didn't mean Drauth enjoyed interacting with people. He was always cautious and suspicious, assuming they were trying to do the same that he was. And it was for that reason that he replied as he did. "We have no need for traveling companions." he stated rather bluntly, glancing at Veyahn. Ultimately the decision was hers to make, however the new mans pay would be coming out of her cut and as one that so coveted these gems he did not think she was likely to bend. "As I mentioned before, we are rather engaged in a business venture. We have neither the time nor the patience to entertain an idle traveler. You might do better to find what you wish at the tea house back in town." It was a little harsh of a reply, but that was the point. Drauth was attempting to dissuade the man if he simply wanted companions. On the other hand, if he wanted something else, his insistence to join them would show it. If he followed them after the 'parted' ways, then they would surely know what he was after.

xxxxNEVE ORO'AT H'THIERRxxxx

xxxxA quiet giggle was her only response to Viloth's blunt assertion. In all honesty she agreed with the Ralifin. Settling down after years of exploration and travel was an injustice - a slap in the face to every value she possessed. However there was no remedy to her problem that would not result in some form of sacrifice. It was enough to give up traveling. She refused to stoop to modes of occupation that might go against her remaining values.

Mercenary work was simply out of the question.

"Are you referring to the Miracle Springs?" Neve hummed while spreading another layer of honey on her biscuit. She had finally tuned back in to the conversation. "It is the only place I've yet visited. Certainly isn't in my best interest to stay here in the cold."

xxxxTruthfully she did not like the atmosphere of the Theatre. Though it had beauty enough to inspire ballads and poetry, Neve cared nothing for admiring if it entailed freezing through the process. She twirled the butter knife in her fingers and reclined in her seat. Her expression fell from merely thoughtful to pensive. She glanced briefly to the Credum when she spoke, but just as quickly she turned toward the fire.

"What would we be doing, exactly?" She canted her head at Viloth, though her gaze was averted to the fire. "I am in no way objected to the promise of warmer weather and a watery wonderland, but I cannot in good conscience do anything that might harm the environment. The preservation of natural wonders is paramount in my practice."

    SPACEXXSPACE_Drauth "Aelaera" Shelaren_______

SPACEJust as Drauth began to wonder what Axil was going to decide to do as a result of his statement, he seemed to freeze. The next thing Drauth knew, he was standing upside down in the middle of an abyss, causing no small amount of disorientation as all of his senses were suddenly thrown into chaos. He quickly adapted though, and stared out into the never ending abyss. Only the abyss was not empty. Strange as it might seem, within the abyss was an entire world composed entirely of nothing. Drauth now stood on top of a set of stairs that descended upwards below him. From where he stood he could see all manner of structures in the chaos, but the moment he looked again they were replaced by entirely different landscapes. And as the abyss traveled out from him, the entire world seemed to twist and face another direction, as if mocking the mortal sense of reality.

SPACEBut as overwhelmed as any ordinary person might be, Drauth was not. This was a realm he was quite familiar with and which, oddly, brought a small manner of comfort to him as he looked out upon it once more. As if to confirm Drauth's thoughts as to his whereabouts, a cackling laugh split the realm, echoing from everyone and nowhere at once. "Welcome home, Drauth." said the man now standing before him, dressed in an outfit that one could only call "eccentric". From Drauth's point of view the man appear to be standing upside down, but he knew such this hardly mattered in this place. He growled slightly at Madarada's used of his true name. He absolutely detested being called by that name by anyway, and the god knew it. Of course, Drauth couldn't really chastise a god now, could he? "Oh come now, Drauth. Is that any way to treat your master? Especially when I found something so fun for you to play with?"

SPACE"Fun?" Drauth questioned, a smile grin coming to his face despite his current annoyance at the god. When Madarada said something was going to be fun, you could pretty much take that to the bank.

SPACE"Of course! I wouldn't contact you for something trivial now, would I?" Madarada replied with a sneer. Although that wasn't exactly true. In fact, not even last week the god had contacted Drauth just to tell Drauth that he had stolen Zenthia's robe. And a couple weeks before because he had bet his sister Laly she couldn't seduce the Goliath of the Abyssal Plains and lost. Being the weaver of the plains, Drauth got an earful for that one.

SPACE"Yes, well, this isn't like those other times." Madarada said, reading the expression on Drauth's face. "I want you to head to the Singing Forest
and meet up with a man named Belsith. You'll know him. He has two familiars. So go get his product, and spread it around! Have a little fun! I hear there's a group headed for the Miracle Springs right now that could be perfect test subjects! Oh, and Drauth?"
Suddenly the jester was behind him, leaning in close and whispering in his ear. "Do be careful not to take it. We would't want our precious little disciple to... fall." With that, the world of nothingness suddenly vanished, causing Drauth to begin plummeting up into the abyss as a wicked laughter rang in his ears.

SPACEWith a start, Drauth found himself once more in the Snow Petal Theatre, facing Axil and Veyahn. Although he had had quite the conversation, it would only have appear to the two of them as if Drauth's mind had simply wandered for half a moment. "Him again?" asked a voice in his mind. The snake was not privilege to his secret conversations. "Well, Sir Axil, it would quite appear as if you were in luck." Drauth suddenly stated as he turned to look at Veyahn. "I do profusely apologize, but it now occurs to me that I have rather an important errand I have unintentionally neglected. But as another has now appeared, it would seem as if you are in good fortune. I do wish you luck and fortune in your venture." With no further explanation or word, Drauth turned and began walking away in the snow towards his next destination.

    {{ Drauth exits to the Singing Forest. }}

VeyahnBakar

spaceCompanionship? Really? Ahn's hair ruffled under her hood again. She really did need to work on controlling that. Her feather-hair was her newest augmentation and she was still getting used to the way it now responded to her emotions.

spaceShe was about to say something when she noticed Drauth freeze. She looked up at him, more confused than concerned, stepping a little closer to him. When he came back around, she quickly moved back to where she had been standing. Ahn continued to look confused as Drauth spoke, her confusion turning briefly to alarm when he turned to leave. She started after him, then collected herself with a sigh. Somehow she was not surprised. He had not seemed interested in the venture at all once he'd known what it was they were looking for. Odd, obnoxious Prex...

spaceAhn turned back to Axil, her lips pursed mostly from the irritation of having to explain things (again) and having to determine just how much trust and caution to have around her new companion (again). Then she sighed and rubbed her temples before looking up at Axil. "Truthfully I'm not surprised he's leaving. But he was right about you being in luck if you still want to stick around. I need some assistance with a job."

Viloth finished her tea and biscuit before she responded to the two women. "Yes, I believe that's what they're called." she said. Viloth didn't realize that there was a proper name for the place. "As to what we'll be doing there...we'll just be figuring out what the hell's going on with that place. Water falling towards the sky? Doesn't that just make your curiosity itch like nothing else? And besides, there's no real reason why we'd be destroying the place in any way. I do want to go back and just relax after a good fight."

She stood up, leaving a couple of coins on the table next to her cup. She wished she could've stayed for one more cup. Or maybe they should, since she guessed the storm was still blowing outside. She looked at Aisling. "Girl, I don't mind the least bit. I invited you, after all. Now, when shall we depart? Immediately, or wait until the storm blows over? I believe it's a fair walk to the Springs, so it just might be better to rent a room somewhere for the night, and maybe pick me up a cloak."

Aisling 'Ash' Maia

Aisling glanced at the Volv once mroe but narrowed her eyes before turning her eyes away. She did not like the way the woman was acting. She gave off a very 'snot nosed' personality. Then again, Aisling had only been here for a few moments and could have missed something that would lead to her reasoning for acting in such a way. Either way, Aisling wasn't sure if she liked the woman.

Aisling turned her head toward Viloth as she stood and dropped some coins on the table. It looked as if she was ready to leave, and Aisling stood as well, pulling her cloak down over her shoulders again, and lifting Artemis to where she was safe and warm underneath the fabric. Artemis cooed thankfully, and Aisling turned to Viloth when she began to ask her questions about when they should leave and such.

"If you'd like, you may stay at my current lodging for the night. I also have an extra cloak that was actually made too large for me and might perhaps rest on your shoulders accordingly, Miss. I believe that we should wait until the morning tomorrow, when the winds have died down a little." she answered honestly, as she also stood up and left a couple coins on the table that the two women were sitting at. She turned her head again toward the doorway of the tea house, and began to feel a little anxious about the days ahead of her.

Axil-Mortan

He stood there perplexed at what just happened. One moment he was being told he wasn’t welcome to join them the next boom! He stood there and looked at Veyahn. He thought for a moment and then decided. ” Alright I am ready whenever you are”. He looked off into the distance in the thick snow. He looked for anything moving but saw nothing. It was almost like Aelaera disappeared into the snow. He shook his head and waited for Veyahn’s lead.

spaceAhn hesitated. "Do...do you at least want to know what the job is...?" she asked slowly. This one was a little odd. She had told him that she needed help with a job and all he said was that he was ready to get moving. Had he heard her? Could anyone actually posses that little curiosity?

Axil-Mortan

He stood there and looked at Veyahn. He had offended her he could tell by the way she was looking at him. He knew there was a job of some sort but he was ready to move. ” I am sorry I offended you, I am just a little on edge.” He said with a cold look on his face. ” So please tell me on the way to are destination, I am coming with you regardless of the fact so let us be on are way.” He looked at her waiting for a response. He knew his manner was off putting but he was of a warriors mind set, less talking more action!

He grabbed his long red hair and pulled it back into a ponytail. He bent down and grabbed a piece of grass form under the snow and wrapped his hair with it. It now looked like a flowing blood as the air caught his hair, his blood red bang's pulled back to revel his white as snow forehead. With out the hair in his face, his features were soft but his expression was hard, like most warriors.

spaceAhn sighed and put a hand on her forehead briefly. "You didn't...offend me. I was just confused and taken aback. Sorry." She looked back up at him and quickly took stock. He looked strong. Perhaps not quite as strong as Drauth, but he appeared capable. Impatient, too, which suited her. Ahn was getting desperate to get out of the cold. The faster they moved, the sooner she'd have a chance at getting warm. "Long story short, we're looking for a specific and rare type of crystal. This job will require some heavy lifting. The locations my employer marked for me are caverns that will likely contain large rocks that need to be moved. Will you be able to help? I plan on paying you, of course."
