Finally! Someone with common sense in this guild! Gays arent all cute with shoujo sparkles/bubbles and flower tone types in the BG with the clasical orgasmic hair toss. I so know what you mean. I'll be reading a fic labeled shounen-ai and then all of a sudden the characters are doing it like rabbits on viagra with all the details. I was like " eek Woah. All I wanted was a fluffy kiss-kiss-hug-hug story, xp but I'm not complaining about the buttsmex."

I think it's because of newbie fans who say they are yaoi fans but in fact are only shounen-ai fans. It's just that yaoi seems to be a catch all phrase for anything that has to do with a male/male relationship.
