Bryson's blush grew brighter. "Uhm... Well okay.." He walked over to her akwardly and goes as if to mount her but then backs up and turns to face her. "Can... Can I get to know you better first?" He asked hoarsely.

Ante met his gaze--though he couldn't see her eyes. She nodded to his request. "I have no problem with that." That would make things more comfortable for both of them.

Bruin sat down and shuffed a hoof over his ear. "I uh.. Guess ill go first. I am Bruin Mabcaw, first born of Huel Mabcaw and Jara. My brother in arms is Nascien Mabcaw and together we serve the King and his people. Also... I have never... Uhm... Well been... With... Anyone..." He swallowed hard as he watche her.

Ante sat down by him. "I am Checkmate Ante, first born of Ailean and Aces Wild. My sisters are Krystal and Royal Gambit, who I haven't seen in a while. I serve no one. I... haven't been with anyone either. ... Everyone's afraid of me."

Bruin tilted his head. "Afraid? Why should anyone be afraid of you?" He looked over her. Nothing about her was frightening at all. Sure she was a little stranger than most. Sure she didn't have hair, but it was unique, not scary. Of course... Growing up in a family of fire wielders made you immune to anything else that was strange.

They don't like that they can't read my emotions. One told me I smelled strange." Checkmate Ante thought for a moment. "I assume... they fear the change I bring with me. I am an outlier; a foreigner to their world. My presence is unnerving."

Bruin shrugged. "Others have no room to judge you based on your appearance. And.." He leaned forward and sniffed her. "I smell nothin wrong with you. You smell like a female. I'm the one that smells weird. I smell like sulfur." He smiled, trying to lighten her mood. "I don't think you're strange."

For once, Ante smiled visibly. "You're the first to say that." It was relieving. "And I don't think you smell strange. It's unique. I like it." The unique smell was a comfortable break from the norm. It was enjoyable, pleasant even. Bruin in general was comfortable to be around. Maybe that's why she was insistent in her request. She'd finally found someone to see her instead of her oddities.

"We'll I'm sure I won't be the last." He smiled kindly at her And nudged her shoulder with his nose. He grinned an gave a small bounce. "Do you run often?" He asked. Maybe he could beat her in a race.

Ante shook her head. "I can't run." She gestured to the clothes around her legs. "If I try to run, I trip." She paused, then added, "I suppose that's when it's an advantage to wear this helmet."

Bruin looked underneath him, taking a long look at his legs. "Yes. My grandfather is a demon from the Underworld, and is the Bringer of Rage. He passed his fire down to my Father and Uncle, and then onto me and my sister. My brother Nascien has the heat, but no flames." He said. "Does your hairlessness run in your family?"

Ante's blush disappeared, the slightest of frowns forming. "... No. The exact opposite, really. My father is a capra. My sister has so much hair, you can barely see her under all of the fur. I guess, at least physically, I'm the black sheep of the family."

Bruin nodded sympathetically. "Well... In personalities, my Aunt is the black sheep of the family. So I can empathize atleast. Besides, I find you intriguing and beautiful so do not allow others to fill your head with lies of your appearance."
