What should we call you? Loïc (Luu-eek)

How good at it are you? Below beginner - I only know a few words andeor phrases due to martial arts, like how to say, 'wrist', or 'kick'. I am fluent in french, and can partially speak german. The only place I've ever been to where korean has been spoken was the dojo.I attend.

welcome ^^
I'm assuming you practice tae kwon do, but tell me if I'm wrong
Nope. Kuk Sool Won.

ahh that's interesting
I'd be lying if I said I've heard of it razz
perhaps you would be kind enough to
make a discussion thread in the cultural part
of the guild ^^
I'm sure it would be a hit

What should we call you?
My name is Kayla, but you can call me Yumi.. or Kyung ah, my korean name... or just Kayla is fine

How good at it are you?
On a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being super beginner, 10 being native fluent) I'm like a 4 or 5

Have you been to a country where it is spoken?
I've been to Koreatown in Manhattan, NY if that counts.. I plan to study abroad in Korea as an undergrad, so...

So... hi. I'm Mornie... but if I need a Korean name, my friend named me Jayu (자유) and I've never really officially studied Korean... but I lived in Korea for a year and a half and learned through immersion. I'm not what I would call 'fluent'... but I'm proficient and I want somewhere I can practice *proper* grammar and typing in korean. ^^ Nice to meet you all! (닌자! ninja )

What should we call you?
Teo, Teophyr, whatever! haha

How good at it are you?
Just started about one month ago~ I'm using a couple computer software things to start me off, TTMIK, and a grammar workbook I found online that seems to be pretty handy. I've memorized all the hangeul characters so far and can read/write somewhat quickly, but I'm still not past that beginner stage. Very little vocab memorized, just the basics. ^^; Not much you can do without vocab...

Have you been to a country where it is spoken?
Nope. I've only ever been to a Korean restaurant--once, about two weeks ago. ==;
After watching too many kdramas & falling in love with the culture I saw through them, I caved in and decided to learn the language.

안녕하세요! My name is Keli. I'm just a beginner in Korean. I've read a few conversational books and have just started lessons on Duolingo. I've never been anywhere Korean is a spoken language, but I wish to travel to Seoul one day. 3nodding
