Dazzled upon the beauty of this city, the redhead would rather carelessly follow the path to reach the shore. Something made her thing that the water would ease that weird sensation in her head after resonating with Max.
Sitting by the shore, the grass would grow and look brighter than the rest of the street. Almost as if the lake itself was magical.
"You are not gonna jump at me are you?"
She asked showing her only sign of cautiousness. Extending her hands she would then pick some of the water between her palms and hydrate her face, embraced by a soothing effect as her temperature was decreasing. Sighing in relief, Melani would kneel by the shore enjoying this apparent moment of peace.

as soon as her hand touched the water the water where it touched became clear only to murky back up completely when the hand left the water. as much as insane Melani seemed talking to the water it was different from normal water it was more warm then anything.

It would seem Melani's little bliss was shorter than expected. The blissful cold of fresh water would turn into a rather blazing experience.
"W-woa!"
Melani jumpex backwards, even using her own jacket to clean her face as soon as possible. Giving only a quick shot at her bellybutton for a second before retrieving her jacket from her face.
As unbelievable as it was, the jacket was displaying a murky stain. Turning back at the small lake, everything looked beautiful and calm. Frowning upon her reflection on the surface, she placed both hands once again. The water was cold, clear and refreshing, but just as soon as she took some of it on her hands the magic transformation occurred once more.
"What the - ? "
She cleaned her hands with her jacket once again.
"that's so unfair! All I wanted was to get rid of this heat. And you are just doing things worse. You are worst than an illusion."
She replied at the mini lake, frowning at it as if it were to understand her words. Now her head was starting to get dizzy and her humor wasn't improving. She wanted at least to jump in the water, but she didn't wanted to take the risk the whole water turning murky and warm. Even worse, if that wasn't the case no matter how much she would enjoy the swim. Just as soon as she leaves the lake, the water in her body would become murky and humid, so everything would be for nothing. And she couldn't possibly remain in the water all the time. There could be other dangers awaiting in there.

Max walked towards Melani as he noticed that her hands where transforming, he sensed magic around her hands as well. What up with your hands? He said as he wonder if that was his magic trying to bond with her.

"I don't know"
She explained, pausing so she could try and remove the murky water from her eyes. Her poor soul perception allowed her not to notice the magic that was covering the water, which was why she couldn't feel either the remnants of magic that where set upon her hands and face.
"I really... really need some fresh water."
The heat on her heat was rather uncomfortable. Not unbearable but it was something she wasn't used to. Which was mostly the first fact that desperate her.
"I just took some water from the lake, it as fresh and clear but it suddenly turned murky and warm when I took it away from the lake.
Anyway. The water seems to be enchanted maybe it is a signal. if that's so... maybe we should cross this lake?"
She suggested. Thinking it might lead them to their fated destination.

as melani was finding that the water seemed to be different from normal, she had a correct hunch of traveling through it, it was the only path available to get to the source of the plant life in the city. though sounds of movement could be heard all around them as if the city was moving, but rather it was plants which were not seen

The redhead wandered over the water's surface, with the help of a giant leaf that she used as a boat. Normally she would refrain to get closer to any plant, but since the leaf was single and didn't moved at touch she used her chance to avoid the treacherous waters to follow the road set by the lake. After all she wouldn't stand touching that water knowing it will turn murky and warm.

as the girl was crossing the lake like area the sounds would sound louder but would seem more under ground than anything, the water around the leaf seemed completely clear and the water that surrounded the clear water was completely murky. soon whispers could be heard all inaudible to the human ear

Despite the lake not being as cluthered, hacing some signs here and there that stayed afloat. Melani felt lost for a moment or two. As the whispers were starting the girl while unable to hear nor understand them felt like there was something out there. She shifted her sight on her surroundings from time to time. Thinking she might be turning paranoiac despite the "obvious" silence and tranquility upon the lake.
"W-what's going on here?"
The girl shivered but still determined herself to continue, perhaps it will all pass or at least find something to distract her from this erie feeling.

Heading for the shore, the redhead would jump off the giant leaf to finally step on land after her short travel by the lake.
"Well that wasn't that hard."
She said trying to keep a positive attitude, shaking of the dust from her ankles and proceeded to take a look at her current environment.
"Well there's that eerie sensation once more."
She replied not very happy about it. She tried using her compass, then her instincts but it would seem everything lead her to walk a path towards the buildings, taking a detour over a corner.
"I really hope this isn't like horror movies."

as soon as the girl went around a corner she would see a body from which was decomposing. infact rather then the term decomposing we could say he was becoming more of a plant as his flesh was like roots. the whispers were clearing coming from this body but how remained a mystery, only way to find out would have to actually get closer, but of course there was always the danger of something happening.

The surprise Melani had found wasn't exactly the most pleasant she had ever had.
"Kyaaaaa!!!"
She yelled horrified to witness that "person's" current state as if it was both bizarre and terrifying. Melani almost tripped backwards out of surprise but somehow she managed to remain standing. Perhaps the shock was too much for her to even flinch backwards.
"tch!"
Gripping both fists the girl tried to build up some courage to take a step forward. It was as if that person was calling for her. Yet she knew she had to be careful.
"A-are you alright sir?"
Of course he/she wasn't but Melani wasn't able to think clearly at the moment because of the recent shock.Little by little she continued closing the gap between them wishing there could be something she could do to aid such person if that was still a person.

"W-what? who's this mother earth? are you going to be okay? how can I help you?"
The lack of answers was driving her insane. She felt helpless, unable to help this person at the very least. its body wasn't moving in the first place and she dared not to touch it. What else would there be to do then.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't able to save you"
She replied to that body before standing up and looking at her surroundings as if she could find at least a clue or lead of where to go.
