For some reason or another, he had trouble pulling the infuser out, and it certainly didn't help that the Titan was starting to go on a rampage. s**t, he couldn't leave this stuff behind, the techs would kill him.
Hoping for better luck this time, he tried again.

Jake was starting to curse now, pulling on the infuser with all his might.
WHY. WON'T. IT. COME. LOOSE.
Any longer and he would be in actual danger. Well, even MORE danger.

Without Sherry's end of the infuser in the ground anymore, the Titan was pretty much free to roam, an every second he wasted being on it, the higher chance he risked...

His actions were all but frantic now as he tore at his harness. Forget the damn infusers, he needed to get OFF this thing STAT.

At wit's end, he took one of the daggers to slice the rope and quickly grabbed his artifact as well as the infusers. With his hands full though, he could barely control the direction of his throttle, and with a wounded and rampaging Titan only several feet from him, there wasn't anything he could do as it swing his tail, shattering what was left of his fear shield and sent him crashing into the ground out cold.

Pretty sure she was out of range of any unwanted disasters, Sherry turned to check on Jake (who she had noted seemed to be on that beast for a very long time) just as he tumbled to the ground. Crap!
Dropping most of her own gear, Sherry sprinted back toward the center of the danger. Armagnac was protesting rather vehemently, throwing in several 'I told you so' comments as well. Sherry answered with thoughts of annoyance, but did her best to keep her mind on the matter at hand.
Time would have been nice, but she'd have to make sure Jake was alive later. And hopefully his shield had protected him from things like neck injuries. Because thrashing titans about to blow were not to be taken lightly. Neither was carrying someone out of danger. Knowing her strengths in this matter, Sherry rolled Jake over, grabbed his arms, and more or less heaved him onto her back. The harness made for a decent hand hold, too. It wasn't easy, but piggy-back was her best bet for clearing the blast.
And once that was done, the next stop was going to be the infirmary. Because she said so.
