"Well, I will be attending a number of social events next week and would like a plus-one to attend with me. If I ask anyone other than a whore they will expect what I'm not willing to offer. It would also mean, of course, that's I've sex on tap for the week, to put it rather crudely. A live-in whore. You may have your own room, of course." Nathaniel replied. "It would not be until Sunday so you would have a few days to make any arrangements necessary. Are you sure you won't have tea? What about a slice of strawberry swirl cheesecake?"

It wasn't like he couldn't just come over when he needed him. "That depends on what sort of creatures and people will be attending your parties. Nathaniel took a pearl-handled silver pie knife and served himself a slice of the strawberry swirl cheesecake. He took a small silver cake fork and ate a forkful before continuing. "No, but as I said, it's not just for the parties. I wouldn't pay one million just to attend the parties. I want you at my beck and call 24/7 for just one week. That's only seven days. The time would go by very quickly. You may even bring your familiars if you wish, they may have their own room too. It works out $142857.14 a day. Anyway, I want to relax and enjoy my tea and you have to go away and think about my offer. I will wait to hear from you."

Nathaniel gave a soft smile. "It was just an offer, in case you really could not leave the cats for a week" he replied. "I'm not concerned either way. You know where I am when you've made your decision." He watched Mitsu leave and smiled to himself. If the teen would just agree to spend one week with him, he was certain he could romance him into a relationship regardless of all he had said to the contrary. Now he just had to wait for Mitsu's decision and hope it was yes. Surely he wouldn't turn down such a sum just for seven days of his time?

❤ M I T S U K I N I ❤ S A G E ❤What do you think of me now? It shouldn't have been such a difficult decision. It was literally a yes or no offer. Stay for a week or don't. But, it was difficult. He didn't want to turn down so much money, but he also didn't want to spend a week from home. His mind went to the worst scenarios. Eventually, after a few days, he made his choice. Mitsu may as well. If he was hurt, it wouldn't be the first time, or the last. He had a heated argument with his brother before left to Nathaniel's, and he had a bloody lip to show for it. But, whatever. He'd heal it later. Mitsu walked to the kitsune's manor, stopping at the door and giving a knock. He disn't bring anything with him except the clothes and tiara he was was wearing. He didn't need to, and he certainly wasn't walking through New York with a bag of expensive jewelry.OoC: --

Nathaniel's valet came to the door to let Mitsu into the house. He was well aware of his employer's offer to the teen warlock and when he saw he had no luggage assumed the answer would be no. The master would not like that! "Master Nathaniel's reading in the library. This way." He waited to see that Mitsu was following and led him to the library. Nathaniel was lounged in a burgundy leather seat reading an old poetry anthology. He looked up when the door opened and gave a soft smile. "Ah, my tempestuous warlock!" he smiled, setting aside his book and standing up. "Benjamin, ask for tea and toast with jam for two to be sent to the library please." The valet left and Nathanial arched a brow. "After a cordial tea and toast together I'll have the maid show you to your room."

Nathaniel gently pulled Mitsu's hand from his face. "Don't touch it, it will hurt more" he told him. "I'll have the maid get you a little cayenne pepper to put it. That stops bleeding and numbs pain. And of course you've accepted my offer. It it was a refusal you would have telephoned or sent a message not come in person, I think. How about I pay you half a million and donate half a million to a charity or cause of your choice? Do you prefer that arrangement?"

That works for me, I guess." He still didn't want to be here. "After the week, you never contact me again. Never send for me, even for sex. You've turned everything I made upside down, and I don't like it at all." His job, his lessons, sitting in the garden. Somehow, and for some unknown reason, Nathaniel managed to snake into his thoughts. It pissed him off, but couldn't decide if it was good or not.OoC: --

Nathaniel gave a soft sigh and a rueful half smile. "I will not agree to that at this point. I give you my word that I will agree to that if you say it again at the end of the week. If next weekend your sentiments are exactly the same then you will never hear from me again. Not one note, not one gift, not one whisper. I will disappear from the periphery of your life. Ah, here is the tea and toast." The maid entered with the hostess trolley and set it before Nathaniel's chair. There was a pot of Earl Grey tea, slices of both white and wholemeal toast buttered and a selections of jams and preserves. "I will have the rose petal jam. What are you having?" he asked Mitsu as he ushered the maid away and poured the tea himself.

Nathaniel passed Mitsu a fine china cup and saucer into which he had poured tea. He poured his own, adding a little milk and one sugar. "Just tea and toast?" he replied with a small smile. "This is a little ritual of mine I enjoy very much, a simple pleasure I would not be without. The tea I have imported from London. The preserves are from all over the world. The apple and cinnamon confiture, for example, comes from Transylvania and is officially the most expensive preserve in the world. The rose petal preserve is made in from France and costs two dollars per ounce. The strawberry conserve is made with fruit from a strawberry farm near Beijing called 'Wander Garden' and they are reputably the best strawberries in the world, organic, grown in imported topsoil and grown in greenhouses over winter. So just tea and toast here is something a little special."
