Kaya smirked at Melanie, one of her elongated canine teeth peeking out from beneath her lips. The dark mage had nowhere else to go and she was running low on magic. She would either have to attack Kaya and leave herself open from the Wizard Saint or take his attack head on. It was a losing situation for her no matter what. On her part, the Dragon Slayer wished that Melanie would make a move towards her because then she could use a spell to free Luci. Her ice blue gaze watched the dark mage girl’s movements intently, awaiting to see what she would decide. Kaya wasn’t a bit surprised to see Melanie continue to face off against the Wizard Saint. A surge of concern pressed into her chest at hearing Luci call out to him to attack.
“Ko,” Kaya turned her head to peek over her shoulder at the raven-haired Exceed. “Mm.” He nodded his head, eyes narrowing slightly. He would be ready to dash in and snag Luci if things looked like they weren’t going to end well. Both he and Kaya tensed as the Wizard Saint unleashed his attack towards the two sisters. It would be now or never. But they didn’t need to worry so much it seemed. Melanie, for some reason, chose to toss Luci in the air at the last moment, keeping her away from the lightning while taking the full brunt. “Well that was…weird.”Then again… The way the dark mage had been talking about her sister in the holding cells, she sounded like she would prefer to do any harm than to let others do so. Whatever the case, the Water Dragon Slayer felt relieved at seeing her adoptive younger sister be freed and safely in Angel’s paws.
With Luci out of danger, Kaya heaved a weary sigh and turned back towards the others. Fleur’s soft voice touched her ears before she noticed paper heading in her direction. She arched a brow curiously at the paper, listening to the Sabertooth mage’s explanation while poking at one of the sheets. “Kinda like Rin-nii’s ice!” The teenager muttered with a broad grin. Her body wavered a little where she stood. Now that the heat of the battle had passed, her adrenaline was wearing off and the effects of her time in the holding cells and the prior battle were more readily felt. “Come on, Kaya. Sit down and I’ll put the paper on your wounds.” Kokuei urged her, gently coercing down to the ground. There was little fight from the Slayer as she did as he asked and sat down. Her gaze darting around at her friends while Kokuei set to work.
She noticed Fleur near where Damien lay, hearing the faint words she told the man. While she disliked the man, she had to agree that she didn’t like the idea of anyone dying. With a grunt, Kaya shifted her focus to Rin and Alessandra. Rin was sitting down as well so that he could tend to the deep gash in his leg, courtesy of Damien, while the blonde Sabertooth mage had yet to move. Turning her head, her eyes then found Luci and Melody. “Oi! Luci, Melody!” She waved to her two guildmates. “Tch.” A faint wince crossed her features as she aggravated the injury to her arm, but was quickly replaced with a smile again. “Long time no see.” Kaya mentioning to the two how she hadn’t seen them since earlier that week. It was almost as if a major battle had just taken place. Gesturing to Melody’s mail bag, she even said, “Sorry about the mail run. Hope I didn’t stall ya too much. Heh heh.”
Kokuei giggled lightly to himself at her words. Shaking his head, he continued to place the sheets of paper over her wounds. His mouth quirked in a deep frown after seeing the severity of some of them. What did they do to you? Kept running through his mind with each visible injury he covered. As much as he wanted to ask, he knew that now was not the right time to do so. Kaya would simply evade the questions anyway. Plus, they weren’t all necessarily out of danger. They were still at the dark guild, after all.
Rin reflexively grabbed at his leg, attempting a slashing maneuver of his own. Damien easily deflected it as he moved in to perform another one. The Devil Slayer prepared himself by bringing his blade up and angling it to where it followed the length of his arm. While not completely effective, it would allow him to keep the blade of his sword between himself and Damien’s wakizashi. The distinctive snick of metal on metal never occurred, however. In its place, the familiar voice of Alessandra yelling Rin’s name and quickly being followed with the name of a spell. A strong gust of wind brushed past the ravens-haired teenager, picking the dark mage man up and slamming him into the dark guild’s building. One after the other, the blonde Sabertooth mage launched attack after attack on Damien. Rin stared in awe at the unrelenting onslaught. His mind a wash with a mixture of pride, amazement, and a little fear. When all was said and done, Damien was left a battered mess on the ground and Alessandra stood resolute under her own consciousness.
Vibrant blue eyes watched for any signs of movement from Damien. After a minute, with no signs that he would try anything, Rin heaved a sigh and collapsed into a sitting position on the ground. “Geez, that guy is a real pain.” He muttered as he spared a glance in the direction of the other battle. Myrsky was swift with his defeat of Melanie, whom was the last of the dark mages to fall. Rin smiled at the sight. We won! His attention soon drawn to the unique paper offered him by Fleur. “Hey, thanks, Fleur!” He gripped one of the sheets and tipped it in a grateful manner before slapping it firmly over the gash in his leg. Rin hissed at the pain though it subsided into a dull throb soon enough. Stretching out his injured leg, he glimpsed the battlefield to see where Kaya had gotten to. He had come to save her and, d**n it, she wasn’t about to get out of his sight for long. The Devil Slayer didn’t have far to look. His adoptive sister was sitting a few yards away, Kokuei busily tending to her.
The teenager studied the Slayer carefully, noting the various wounds on her body, finding himself growing pissed off at each one. He knew that nearly all, if not every single one, had been done prior to the fight. A fact that would make it impossible for him to ever forgive the dark mages. Still though, she was in good hands with Kokuei at her side. Rin could turn his attention elsewhere for the time being. She wouldn’t like him hovering over her anyway. A knowing smile touched his lips as he closed his eyes and shook his head lightly. Cracking his eyelids open a hair, he peered up at the silent form of Alessandra. “Ale, that was even more awesome than last time! I really do need to remember never to get on your bad side.” He joked with a genuinely warm and toothy grin that reached up to his eyes.

Alessandra stood looking at Damien for what felt like hours but in truth was only a few minutes, so many emotions flooded into her as she looked down at the man. She was relieved that she didn't accidentally kill him but she was still feeling very angry at him and at herself, her hands clenched into tight fists as she felt her body begin to shake; everything just wanted to come pouring out all at the same time. One thing was for sure, she was no longer that man's friend and nor would she ever want to recognize him as such ever again. Taking a few deep breaths Alessandra would try to calm her shaking body as she noticed Fluer come over and hand over paper to both her and Damien. Her body only had a few starches and bruises from getting beat on and tossed around, her real injuries were to her pride as a mage and in her uncontrolled actions. Taking the paper Alessandra would use very little to cover her wounds as she would save the rest for someone who was injured more than her. The familiar voice of Rin would reach her ears as she stood over the dark mage, although he seemed to still warm to her a trickle of doubt filled her; she remembered clearly attacking those she was suppose to be fighting with and she remembered that most of her attacked were focused on him. Alessandra felt as if she had failed in every way when she only wanted to help, a sling thought would come forth in her mind, maybe Damien was right. Maybe she was pathetic and just a burden. With one last look at Damien Alessandra would begin to turn slowly back to her friends, her head hung as she began to walk; her legs could barely hold her up as she walked in a slight zig zag pattern.
It wasn't until she had gotten to Rin's mid thigh level did she finally collapse to her knees, her hands held the paper she had gotten from Flue which made it obvious that her hands were trembling as they held tight to the paper. Her head was still down as her bangs covered her eyes and in a fluid movement from kneeling, she leaned into Rin; her forehead coming to rest on his shoulder and her hands came to rest on his chest, still holding the paper and still trembling. "I'm... so... sorry." She would begin to speak, her voice weak and full of emotion; tears would quickly begin to roll down her cheeks as her hands became the catching grounds for any tears that fell. "I was idiot. I-I got ahead of myself and got too excited, I should have known better. All I wanted to do was help and I couldn't even do that right." Alessandra pulled herself closer as she began to fully cry, "I shouldn't bought that book, there's no such thing as a book that can turn people back to good. I'm so stupid for even believing that rumor. I should have at least just stayed behind then none of this would have happened." Her voice picked up a slight angry tone as she continued to talk, "I caused you and everyone else so much trouble, I got myself caught... again... and got-" she couldn't bring herself to say she was used, she didn't even want to remember Damien had kissed her, taking a few breaths to try and calm herself slightly Alessandra would begin to talk again; "I-I'm just so sorry. I tried to stop myself. No matter what I told myself to do or told myself to say my body would do the opposite, even trying to hold back my magic was hard. I felt like I was in murky water watching my actions through a window..." Alessandra would pause as she realized she probably sounded crazy, "I-I really didn't want to fight any of you, and when I saw you get hurt... I just felt something snap." She would pull away from him just enough to wipe her tears away, her couldn't bare looking into his eyes currently. She felt so much disappointment with herself that it just hurt, "I kinda am pathetic..." Alessandra would lean back in to him as her arms would loosely wrap around Rin in a soft hug, something he could easily get out of or push her away if he wanted "Please forgive me." Her voice was soft and timid, quiet as a mouse as she spoke, the sincerity in her voice was also written all over her face; she meant every word she said and although she would like to be forgive she would also understand if any of them did not.
Damine laid in the ruble for a while, resting from the onslaught of attacked from the blonde mage he was trying to get revenge on. His hole body groaned from the pain he was experiencing, a powerful throbbing was coming from his side as the blood from his wound would slowly leak out onto the stone under him. Although for a normal person the area he laid in would have been uncomfortable, for Damien it was the perfect place to get a rest in. He was far away from most people and with everyone getting distracted by the wounded Damien would find time to just breath. He was angry with how everything turned out but his body was to tired to move at the moment and with he light mages leaving him along he would be able to create a plan of escape. His eyes would only open as he heard the voice of the wind mage, his tired expression making it clear he was no long able to fight even though he wanted to. With the offer of paper to cover his wounds Damine would gladly accept, all he needed was a little mercy given his way that prepared him to make an escape. With the Rin, Alessandra, Kaya, and Fluer all distracted and resting Damien would quickly and carefully move away into the shadows where he blended in and could hide from those who could still fight. He needed to get out of there or he was going to be arrested, something he didn't want. Charting a way out Damien would cast a glance at Melanie, a sigh escaped him mouth and slightly annoyed look came to his face as he looked at his guild mate. She needed more help than he did, she had taken on less people but also had to fight stronger ones. Making his way to her he would wait for the perfect moment, booking it to her Damien would scoop her up and then run like their life depended on it; because it did. He used the shadows and fleeing towns people as cover as he blended into the crowd and left with Melanie scooped up in his arms, princess style.

Peque held on for dear life, wincing from the scratches and bites given by the wolf briefly in attempt to remove him. He was more than wiling to continue until hearing a cry he knew best. Without even thinking twice he let go of the wolf and began making his retreat, his owner needed him and that was all that mattered to him.
Melody could not keep Polaris for long, the amount of magic in her was little to none at this point, and the fact that she was hurt did not help. As her celestial spirit left, she had fallen to her knees shaking and holding herself, the only thing she could possibly do now was cry. Eventually her guild mates came to her assistance, all she could do was cry louder while trying to explain just how afraid she was. This was officially her very first battle, she actually has to land hits on people or they wouldve died, she could have died in this. I-I wahhhhh!!! was the only thing she could actually say before leaning in and hugging both Kaya and Luci, no words to describe how scared she truly was of losing them. The mail was the least of her problems at the moment, all she wanted to do was make sure both of them were healed up.

Angel had taken Luci to the ground, where the light slayer would allow herself to fall on her butt, and finally breathe in the air of victory. The exceed would take a moment to just sit as well, after panicing for so long from watching. It was finally over, Kaya was safe and everyone would be okay with no more battling. At least that is what she hoped, she had no idea if there were any more dark mages around but she didn't see anyone so more clearly likely not. She would see Damien taking off with Melanie, to god knows where, just glad they were finally gone. Luci hated them both so much, for putting Kaya through so much. She could tell with all of her wounds, that it must of been terrible with whatever they were doing to her. It made her sick to her stomach to even think about it, but she would just sigh it off because what counts now is her friend is safe and the war was taking its end. Her ears would perk up upon hearing Kaya's shouting, forgetting about the thoughts in her head and focusing on her sweet friends voice. "Kay!~Kay are you okay too??" Luci be concerned for her friend and whatever happened to her, but she would be blissful to see her friend doing great through it, even though she figured she could of just been acting okay, she seemed to be hurt kind of a lot even as she would wince but than would return to her smiling face. The light slayer would place both hands over Kaya without even asking her since she wanted to be sure she was okay, just in case, trying to heal as much of her wounds as she could. Considering how much magic she had used in that battle, she wouldn't be able to do as much as she would of liked but she still would try so hard to get her healed up. Luci would wave to her, and rush up beside her and Ko, with Angel following shortly behind. Melody would bring in a hug to both her and Kaya, crying about what had just happened as she would appear to be frightened from these turn in events. "Melly! It's okay! You don't have to worry, cause we all got one another's back! I'm just glad you're okay!" Luci would lean in a tighter hug to the both, but not too tight, she didn't wish to hurt any of them by accident from there wounds.

Melanie could not move one muscle of her body, all she could do was hear all of the pesky flies cheering and celebrating there victory, which would only make her growl angrily in return. She had to get out of there, to escape somehow so she wouldn't have to deal with anyone in her state where she couldn't move. The dark mage couldn't possibly afford to get herself arrested, and no matter how much she wanted to kill Kaya in front of everyone, she lost that chance when she took too long in tormenting her. Melanie realized too late that she should of just killed her once everyone started arriving at the scene of rescuing her. She never imagined a saint would appear, if it were just that weak Melody girl everything would of turned out for the better, at least in her mind it would of. She sat there, completely pissed off and shooting Kaya daggers of a glare. However, Melanie's dark orbs would look to the side just as Damien was making his way to her, hiding in the fleeing people who were trying to get out of there quickly. She had no idea what he was up to, until he would lift her up as if he were her prince rescuing her. "What are you-" Her words would be cut short, as she stopped herself considering she didn't like taking help from anyone, it made her feel weak. But than she remembered she couldn't move herself, so she would just let him retreat with her, just glad the both of them were not going to end up arrested. With the retreat of the goat, Zalaph would also as he would run off into the distance, getting away from the rather large crowd in case anyone would attempt in fighting him. Fleur watched from her place on the floor as Damien dragged himself from the ground and took off in the direction of his fellow guild mate. The extension of her kindness probably gave him the opportunity to escape the mass of wizards fighting against him and she wasn't sure if anyone else would appreciate that, but she felt better knowing she'd shown mercy, "I'm more than sure he'll come back. I have a feeling their guild will rear its ugly head more than once in our lifetime" she sighed to herself, "Maybe I should have paper-wrapped his whole body so we could have taken him into custody, though I don't think I have the magic for that left," she added. Pulling herself off of the ground, Fleur made her way over to the girl she originally started to fight beside, the water dragon slayer Kaya, "It's good to see you back in action," she said cheerfully, "How's the paper working for you? I have more if you need it." Looking in the direction in which Damien and Melanie had fled, the wind mage hummed in thought, "I wonder where they'll go," she pondered aloud, "There was an awful lot of arguing going on over here, I take it some of you were familiar with the girl?" she questioned, curious to know exactly what had caused this entire incident. The connection between Alessandra and Damien was now fairly clear but she knew nothing of the other dark guild member.

With the battle over, the adrenaline being pumped into her system began to fade away. Kaya started to feel every ache and pain, every injury that she had accrued making itself known. Her muscles grew stiff as she sat stationary on the ground to allow Kokuei to tend to her, and she truthfully felt like passing out for some needed sleep. But she wouldn’t. Not yet anyway. Luci and Melody had come running up to where she was, each throwing their arms around her in a hug. “Ouch.” She said though she laughed at the same instant. While their embrace did hurt slightly, she was happy to see them okay and alive after everything. It wasn’t long before Melody broke down in tears, unable to speak at all. Kaya blinked at the outburst of emotion. “Aww no need for crying, Melody.” The Water Dragon Slayer told her, a warmth and confidence in her tone. If she could’ve, she would’ve stretched her arm out to place her hand on her head in a comforting gesture; however, her body refused to move an inch. “You did great!”
She kept her gaze pinned on the girl until she calmed down. Her ice blue eyes then moved to Luci who had started to heal her wounds. “I’m fine, but you might want to save that.” Kaya told Luci in a soft voice. The teenager knew that she would be running low on magic like the rest of them. Fleur’s paper was doing a well enough job that she didn’t want the younger Slayer wasting anymore of her energy than necessary. “Someone else might need your help. Save your energy for then.”“But—Kaya—“ Kokuei interjected, having finished wrapping her wounds. Some of the paper bandages already showed blood seeping through. “Nah, it’s fine, Ko.” Kaya pinned them all with a closed-eye grin. “We’ve only one person with a healing spell and a lot of people who fought. It can wait.” The dark-haired Exceed peered back at her with a skeptical expression. His crimson eyes revealed the concern he felt. Fortunately, Fleur arrived in the same moment, offering more of her paper strips. “Yes, please.” He held his paw out to gather some of the paper, immediately applying what he was given to the areas where blood peeked out.
Kaya met Fleur’s gaze with her toothy grin. “Hey, thanks for the paper. It’s real helpful!” She chuckled lightly though stopped short from the pain lancing into her chest from the broken ribs. “Yeah.” She nodded in agreement. “Sorry about the train station thing. That guy has one hell of a spell. Caught me off guard with it, but it won’t happen next time.” Her cheerful expression faltered a bit as she thought on Fleur’s follow up question. “I’ve never seen her before. Train station was the first time.” Kaya jerked her chin to indicate Luci. “From what she said, she’s Luci sister or something like that. The guy knows Rin-nii and Alessandra. They kept talking about the past and getting revenge.” Her impish light returned, lips pulling back to let her elongated canine to poke out. “But that didn’t work out for ‘em. Tried to tell ‘em that too but they wouldn’t listen.” She spoke nonchalantly about the conversation she had with Damien and Melanie in the holding cells, as if it were akin to three people having a normal dispute. Despite her blasé attitude about it, she would bypass the rest of the details of her time with the Sirens Curse members. It would only serve to cause unnecessary worry.
In a bid to cut off any other questions, the teenager rolled her head back and to the side, keying in on Rin and Alessandra. The two seemed to be having a moment. A rather touching moment, which brought mischief into Kaya’s eyes. “Oi, Rin-nii! You two lovebirds gonna sit over there by yourselves or join the celebration party over here?!”
“Phew. I’m glad that’s over with.” Rin blew out a sigh of relief. His eyes had drifted from Ale for a short time as he lifted them to the sky above. Daylight had broken during the fight, casting a brilliant glow across the land. Yet it also revealed the massive amounts of destruction that occurred during the battle. The entire town which had been near the dark guild was pretty well obliterated. Very few buildings still stood, and those looked like they might topple at any given moment. Oops. I hope nobody innocent got hurt. In their bid to find and free Kaya, he hadn’t thought so much about the civilians living in the area. It would truly upset him if anyone not associated with the dark guild had been injured. His thoughts dwelled on that for a time. Closing his eyelids, he let his head loll back as he supported his upper body with his hands. It wasn’t long before a shadow fell across him, causing him to peel open his eyes to see who it was. He blinked in mild surprise to find Ale standing over him. Rin frowned in confusion and shock as she then proceeded to collapse to her knees before leaning into his chest.
A blush crept upon his features. Blue eyes staring down at her blonde hair. “A—Ale…?” Her soft and emotion-filled voice gave him pause. He listened intently to every word she said as she poured out her feelings of anger, sadness, and self-depreciation. Only when she had finished did he speak. “Why are you apologizing?” His hands came up to grab gently onto her upper arms, pulling her away just enough so that he could look into her amber gaze. “I know it wasn’t you that attacked me. That guy has some seriously messed up spells and he used one on you to force you to attack us. I knew you’d break out of it somehow. And you did! Yeah, okay, maybe don’t test out something new like that in a big fight, but that’s something we’ve all done. It’s over and done with now so don’t focus on it so much.” His understanding expression took on a more serious overtone then. He wanted her to be sure that she heard his next words clearly. “Don’t talk like that either! You’re not pathetic. You’re not weak. And you sure as hell aren’t stupid! Let that guy say whatever he wants, but don’t you dare believe him. Got it?!” Rin waited until Alessandra would agree or not before releasing the grip on her arms. Instead, he would lean further into her, wrapping his arms around her upper body in a rare show of comfort.
He rested his chin on her shoulder, not caring if she returned the hug or not. “Just…next time you have a fancy book with some sort of crazy ability, how about testing it out at the guild first? Crazy Stone mages don’t make the best guinea pigs ya know.” The blue-haired teenager spoke in jest so that his friend wouldn’t feel like she failed. They had won the fight in the end, after all, no need to feel so down. Maybe I should ask her if she’d like some sparring lessons… Before he could mention it, however, a shout from Kaya drew his attention. His face flushed red as he glared over at his adoptive sister, arms unfurling from around Ale in the process. “Who are you callin’ a lovebird?! I should come over there and kick your a** for causing all this trouble ya know.” While he words seemed harsh, his tone would indicate that he wasn’t angry with the younger Slayer. If anything, he was happy to see her acting like her usual self, even if it was at his own expense.

These weapons are connected by a large chain of ice that spirals around him several times, with the blades pointing outwards. Rin then swings one arm forward and the other backwards, sending the large chain of weapons towards the target and freezing the area around them. Rank: S

At such a point, the fire takes on the shape of a fierce, flexible "column", or- as befitting the spell's name- an unconventional red carpet. Tears hung in her eyes as Alessandra finally brought her gaze to Rin's, letting go of his clothing she would listen to him; tears every so often rolling down her cheek as her saddened golden brown glaze would remained locked with his deep blue. Remaining quiet, except for the occasional sniffle, Alessandra would let Rin speak without interruption or protest. Her heart still felt heavy but the understanding tone her friend had was helping sooth her, her lower lip quivered. She would slowly nod in response, currently she didn't feel like that was the truth but part of her wanted to agree with Rin. Maybe Damien was wrong, maybe it was time to start believing someone else's words. Alessandra was about to speak again when she felt Rin's arms wrap around her upper body, she had never known Rin to be someone to give hugs and it caught her by surprise at first. A smile slowly would found it's home on her lips as she would weakly hug Rin back. His little jest got her to quietly chuckle though it seem as if she was crying again. Her head rested on his shoulder as she enjoyed the moment, her heart feeling better than before "I promise I won't believe what he says; and I promise to never use Damien as a test subject again." Alessandra's voice was still soft but it sounded more like her normal sweet tone than the emotion filled one she had earlier. She would have to thank him later for his kind words, although she knew he meant what he was saying Alessandra felt as if she should thank him for being understanding. Maybe it was just how she was raised, either way she would wait until she could say it at least somewhat privately.
Hearing the voice of the girl Rin had been so determined to save, Alessandra would gain a pink blush across her cheeks. Letting go of her friend Alessandra would pull away from him and slightly turn her body toward the group of three girls; the small smile she had still traced her lips as a not so sad look had taken rest in her eyes. "Rin-nii?" Alessandra would question quietly as one hand would come up to her mouth, her figures lightly pressing against the growing smile as she giggled quietly "That's a cute nickname." a light chuckle could be heard in her voice as her eyes would move from the girls to Rin "I have never heard you get called that before!" The remnants of a few tears still rested in the very corners of her eyes as she gave a close eyed smile to Rin, showing her mood was much better than before; a honest slightly more happy aura had slowly made it's way back. "Please don't do anything rash until you get healed. The both of you need medical attention and rest first." Her caring and soft tone hard returned as she would look at the two, it was relieving for her to see and hear her friend be himself despite all that happened; the cheerful, teasing tone of the two almost made what happened before feel like it never did. Finally feeling the full effect of her earthquake spell Alessandra was ready to have some relaxation, maybe even try to forget some of the details of the battle that took place. "Baslam Village is fairly close, we can find some more people there to heal everyone and the spa can help with any after effects like aches and pains." Her brown eyes would only quickly glance at the stab wound on Rin's leg, her stomach twisted in knots knowing how that happened and hating that it did happen; her gaze would quickly return to all the others so her better mood wouldn't be ruined by what the stone mage had done. Damien had proven to her once again that he was not the same as he once was and that whatever he wanted he would cause the people she cared about great harm just to get it.

Luci would overhear Kaya suggesting to save her magic for the one's who'd need her healing abilities the most, cancelling the spell as she would watch the water slayer closely, as if examining her injuries to see if it was really okay to just leave her be. She worried about that Kaya was badly hurt, possibly was just not saying anything as to not worry anyone. "Are you sure?" She would ask, genuinely wondering if she was truly okay, after becoming a capture and all. "I dont mind using it for everyone..you count too though Kay. I just wanna be sure you're really okay." The light slayer would tell her friend, her worries not once stopping as she couldn't tell if Kaya just didn't want her using up her magic on her. Even Ko seemed to interject, thinking it wasn't the best idea to make as well, yet she still seemed to be saying she was okay, so she would just let it go for the time being. Angel would sigh a loud, glad to have everything back to being peaceful and no more fighting, despite still being in the dark guilds own town that they later ditched. Though she would stare at Luci, checking to make sure she was alright as well. "You ok too Luci, right? I wanted to help you so bad, I did, but I just couldn't get myself to help with the wolf around. I'm sorry for that..I feel like I've failed you.." Angel would tell her friend, sobbing a bit as she felt bad she couldn't even be there to protect the one she would easily give her life for. Luci would smile weakly, petting her exceed friend on her head. "Don't worry, Angel! You being there was all the support I needed, just knowing you were watching me from afar, it made me feel safe. Like no matter what happened, you would be there for me, as I would for you. We all have things were afraid of, I understand how you felt so don't worry about it! Besides, you did help catch me in the end even when her little doggy was still around, right?" Luci would grin, kneeling down to eye level with her exceed, just glad she was okay too. "I'm just glad you're safe." Angel would hug her friend, before resting a top of her head from exhaustion.
Luci would overhear Kaya and Fleur asking about how they knew the two dark mages, and Kay even glancing more in her direction at the mention of her sister. Honestly, it felt really odd and confusing to her. She hadn't seen her sister up until this very moment, yet just everything about her was off and completely different. She wasn't the same girl she remembered years ago. The one who'd make her lunch, take her outside for a walk, be stupid together and have fun, or even protect her when being bullied. None of it made any sense, and she even acted like she hated her. She wasn't sure what she did for her to not like her anymore, to even cost almost the life of her own friends and go after them. It scared her knowing she was still on the run out there, and could still attack Kaya if she wanted, or any of her friends. Even more, the problem seemed to revolve more around it being her fault, as she was only doing these things in spite of her. Luci would go quiet, as everyone was talking and enjoying themselves yet she was drowning there words out in her own thoughts and concerns. She couldn't stop thinking where along the lines did there relationship go wrong, she used to love Melanie like a big sister so much. She felt torn to even fight the girl, as she made a problem years ago she'd always be there for her too. But she very well couldn't allow her to harm her friends, even if it meant breaking the promise she made. Because Mel had changed, somewhere along the lines and things between them were far different now. Luci was just so confused, glancing off into the distance, unaware of what anyone was doing or saying around her. She felt like she would have to always be watchful of her guild and friends, for fear Melanie would find either of them and strike. That was how this event took place most likely, she probably found Kaya somewhere all alone, and knowing she would attack any of her friends alone scared her the most. Even her guild friend Mel, she would be a very easy target for her sister and that really drove her to worry so much, she just couldn't allow anything so horrible to happen to the girl. But she didn't know how to best go about it either, as she scanned the area of friends and other guilds around, keeping a eye on anyone who may require some medical assistance.
Fleur tilted her head sideways to look at the girl who appeared to be called Luci, "She's your sister? I know there's such a thing as sibling rivalry but she takes it to a whole new level. Why does she dislike you so much? It seems pretty extreme," she said, truly curious about what started this whole parade of darkness. Hearing Kaya mention a 'next time' made Fleur frown, "I've figured by now that you're a dragon slayer, someone who uses powerful magic capable of taking down some very tough enemies, but you still took a beating, so why do you make it sound like you're going to pursue the two dark mage's that caused this havoc? Personally, I would avoid a second battle for fear of something like this happening again. Not just this fight but the one at the station," she said, "But concerning that, you don't have to apologise. You didn't drag me into it. As soon as the fight started, I knew I would probably get involved so the only ones who dragged me into it were those two and myself," she replied, reassuring Kaya that none of this was her fault. Fleur sighed loudly, "So, where do we go from here?" she asked.
Kaya’s face beamed with her typically broad smile. “I’d like to see ya try!” She shouted back at the blue-haired male. Her teasing and playfulness ringing out for those close enough to hear. It wasn’t often that she got to see Rin nowadays, with him being an S-rank in Sabertooth and her being in Fairy Tail. Despite the distance, their sibling-like bond remained as strong as ever, and it would clearly be showing in how the two bickered back and forth. “I’ve still got some energy left!” Overhearing her remarks, Kokuei sighed and shook his head. “You really shouldn’t.” He looked up at the Slayer with pleading eyes. “Would you please let Luci heal you some more?” It wasn’t often that he asked Kaya to rethink accepting help like that. She generally didn’t listen, putting her own needs behind those of others and pushing herself to the limits. As much as she tried to full them all, Kokuei could tell that her breathing was labored. The recoil from earlier wasn’t simply from being bombarded with hugs either. His keen gaze had picked up on the hitch in her breathing in that moment and he realized that she most likely had some form of internal injury.
The teenager’s ice blue orbs turned from Rin to the little Exceed. She stared at him for a moment, aware that he was concerned. Kokuei was quite observant when it came to her health and she could tell he knew she was hiding her injuries. Fortunately, Luci’s magic had healed her cracked ribs enough to where she didn’t have to try so hard to breathe. With a lot of effort, Kaya picked up her arm and placed it atop the Exceed’s head. “Trust me. Everything’s good now.” Her eyes closed as she gave him a comforting grin. The Dragon Slayer then peeked over at Luci. “Same goes for you too, Lu. I’m really okay. Promise.” She locked her eyes with the younger Slayer’s, conveying both certainty and reassurance in her kind expression. “Hm?” Kaya blinked twice at Fleur’s observations. “Heh heh. That’s right! You’re looking at the Water Dragon Slayer of Fairy Tail!” Her chest would puff up in pride at the declaration. However, her spirits would dampen a little bit with the purple-haired girl’s follow-up. “Nah, it’s not like that. I wouldn’t go after ‘em. Just got a feelin’ that we’ll see ‘em again is all.”
Approaching footsteps caused her to fall silent. Shifting towards the sound, she found that it was none other than Rin, trailed by his friend and some of the guilds’ members. Kaya stared into her older brother’s vibrant blue orbs, listening to everything he said as he got into a kneeling stance in front of her. “Y-yeah.” She bobbed her head once. With some difficulty, the teenager forced her body to move enough to where she could do as he asked. Her arms hung down around the sides of his neck, hands interlocked for stability, while he supported her legs with his arms. Kaya’s head rested on his left shoulder. A weariness crept into her features as her body adjusted to the new position. Ice blue eyes slowly closed until they were completely so. Any remaining tension from her ordeal melted away, replaced with a deep sense of satisfaction and relief. “It’s been a while, Rin-nii.” The Dragon Slayer murmured around a big yawn. Content in the arms of her adoptive big brother.
Rin waited with bated breath for Alessandra’s answer. He truly hoped that she took his words to heart. He never wanted to hear her say such things about herself again, nor did he want her to think that any of these events were her fault. She had pure intentions that simply didn’t pan out. Anyone could see that. Finally, after a long pause, Alessandra muttered the words he wanted to hear. Rin heaved a sigh of relief, glad that she was starting to sound more like herself. He wasn’t oblivious enough to think that she had gotten over what happened. That would take time. But her words provided him with enough proof that she would be fine, given plenty of time. I’m glad. He wanted to say but his adoptive sister’s brief outburst drew his attention away for a short while, ruining the lovely moment he was having and causing him to blush a deep shade of red. The two bickered back and forth a few times as they always did. Their bond with each other strong as ever.
“Just you wait till I get over there!” Rin shook his fist at the younger Slayer. He was about to make another jab at her when Alessandra’s voice broke into his tirade. Her teasing of his nickname brought another flush of color to his cheeks, though not quite as deep. “Heh, well,” He chuckled nervously and scratched the side of his cheek. “You’ve never met my sister before.” As odd as that might seem, it made plenty of sense in the end. The two Sabertooth mages hadn’t been spending a lot of time together until recent months, ever since that initial encounter with Damien. Before that, they might have seen one another in passing and shared an occasional job or meal together. Rin tended to visit Magnolia after some of his longer missions as well, which is generally when he would see Kaya and his dad. Still though…it shouldn’t have taken something like this for them to meet… The thought ghosted across his mind before swiftly diving back into its darkened recesses. He didn’t want to think about what might’ve happened if they hadn’t gotten here in time or if the others hadn’t shown up.
Sparing a brief glimpse at the paper covered wound on his leg, Rin felt a prickling on the back of his neck. He’d pay Damien back one day. Him and the dark mage girl both for what they did. Unwilling to dwell on his anger, however, the Devil Slayer waved off Alessandra’s concern. “Nah.” He reached down to the gash and gently pressed his hand to it. Ice wrapped around the area, covering both the paper and the wound, adding another layer of protection and stability. Rin then grabbed his sword and hoisted himself off the ground, using the sheath of the weapon to support himself until he was steady. “This isn’t that bad. Looks worse than it is I think. But I’ll get it looked at when we get to a town or something.” His gaze had wandered back to the ravens-purple/blue-haired girl sitting on the ground a short distance away. While she played it off well, it would be a matter of time before the adrenaline completely wore off and Kaya would be feeling the effects of the past day. Concern etched a frown onto his face. “Might as well join the party.” He tipped his head towards the small group.
Certain that Ale would follow, Rin made his way over to join them. “We go to Balsam Village.” He interjected upon hearing Fleur's question, offering a brief smile in greeting to his guildmate when he passed by her. The blue-haired male bent over at the waist, hands resting on his knees in support, as he stared down at his adoptive younger sister. His vibrant blue orbs met her ice blue ones. “Oi, Kaya.” He spoke softly. “What d’ya say we get out of here, hm? I think you’ve been away from home long enough.” Shuffling around to be in front, he knelt and stretched his arms behind his back. Rin peered back over his shoulder, a warm grin touching his eyes. It wasn’t long before he felt her chest press into his back. Her arms draped around his neck, hands resting comfortably on his chest. Once she had settled, Rin cupped his hands under her legs and rear in a piggy-back fashion. Her soft murmuring breathed a sense of calmness into him. Yeah…it has. The Devil Slayer agreed silently, bowing his head and standing to his feet. Out loud he said, “You guys ready?” Then started off to their next destination

Brown eyes would watch with concern as her friend formed ice around his leg before standing, she hated seeing people hurt but she hated even more when they tried pushing past it. Alessandra would keep silent as she would slowly stand, her legs still feeling weak from the earthquake spell, her wobbly legs would support a slow walk. She would stand with her hands folded in her lap as he watched the small group chat, the book mage felt odd to say the least. She was relieved to see some soft smiles and hearing more positive tone of voices but Alessandra felt she should apologize everyone; the blonde mage still had no idea what Damien was after and she didn't understand why he so badly wanted to hurt the people she cared about. Ever since she left to learn magic Damien had become very different, even just vanishing when she was finally finished all of her training. She would listen to Fleur and Kaya's conversation, although she hoped the Water Slayer was wrong a feeling deep down inside the book mage's gut told her Kaya was probably right. A gentle sigh would escape as her mind replayed the events, so much was said and done. As Rin spoke to his sister Alessandra would move her gaze to the ground below her tired feet; she hoped that everything would at least return to somewhat normalcy and that something good would at least come out of his.
Movement caught her attention again as she heard Rin's voice speak, asking if everyone was ready. "Mmhmm." The book mage would respond, adding in a subtle nod; walking slowly behind the rest of the group her eyes would watch everyone. Despite being incredibly tired Alessandra had summoned her wind book to keep on hand, even if it was just to help support the others if any of them were to collapse. Taking a quick glance at everyone around her Alessandra could just feel her heart sink. So many people were hurt because of Damien and the girl with him, and Alessandra couldn't help but feel somewhat responsible for part of the chaos that arose. As she would draw closer to Fluer the blonde mage would outstretch her hand and place it on the girl's shoulder. "I'm truly sorry that you got dragged into this and that I attacked you along with everyone else, I wish I could explain things to you but I am just don't have any answers. I hope you didn't get hurt by Damien or by that other girl.; and I hope I didn't hurt you." A soft and apologetic look would take hold of her facial features, her hand dropped from the girl's shoulder back to Alessandra's side. She hopped her guild mate would understand, Alessandra had no explanation for anything; she only hopped her simple statement was enough. Luci's eyes continued to scan the field; for anyone requiring medical assistance. There were so many people around, she couldn't really detect anyone while she scanned the area, hoping every nearby person was okay after the whole aftermath. Though she'd turn her head at the mention of her name; as Fleur seemed to be pretty whacked out by the fact she had a crazy sister in her own bloodline. "Yeah, I guess so.." She would lower her voice with every word she spoke; not sure if she should even continue to call her a sister. That's not how family treats one another; to her she felt more like a mortal enemy for stabbing her in the back and putting her own friends in grave danger. "I wish I could tell you why; but I'm not so sure myself. I've always been so nice with her; she treats me like some stranger now. We used to be such good friends way back when, I don't know why she's doing these horrible things..why she has changed so horribly.." Luci's voice would crack a bit; even seemed a bit shaky from how she couldn't stop worrying how her sister might even go as far as to kill her friends. She already attempted in doing so with Kaya, it was only a matter of time before she struck her next victim, and who knows she may even succeed. That thought worried her horrendously, yet she would stare at Ko begging Kaya to get some better healing in as she likely needed it much more than everyone else. She was the main target here after all. Her thoughts were soon cut short; upon Kaya informing them how she was fine and would continue to be, not wanting them to worry anymore. "O-okay..if you say so.." Luci would say, watching her every movement closely as to be certain she truly was and wasn't just saying that.
The light slayer couldn't help but feel partly at fault for what happened; in the end it was her own blood and family to put her second family known as Fairy Tail into further harm as well her her other friends in different guilds. If she was more aware, maybe she could of been able to put a stop to it before it even happened. Luci would silently follow the group, Angel resting on her shoulder curled into a ball. She was so lost in her own thoughts and worries; that she hadn't been fully paying attention to everyone around her.
