"Well, its nice to see you once more Kila." She smiled as she paused. "Zebra is our prey tonight. The silly creatures like to drink before heading back." Her eyes flickered over the sky, they'd have to go soon.
She padded forward more, she wasnt used to heading up hunts. Usually just, well she just held that special groove with herself. "It will be nice to hunt for others again." Her mind started showing her images her heart didnt long to see anymore. She shook her head as she conitnued forward.

"Yes, four eyes are better than two. You never know how many eyes are watching you. Rouge lions like to move in packs, and are just as lowly as hyenas." He glanced down at Cayimmi. " Its nice to have you around Cayimmi." he grinned.
His muscluar form moved forward as he set out to watch the closer pieces of land. He wasnt in the mood for unwelcomed guests on this night, the first night of claiming his home. But he knew it could happen.

Kila followed her to the water source it seemed. Her flakes quivered in the breeze. Her muzzle in the air as the wind was for us and she could smell the zebra herd getting closer to wherever they were going as well.
She padded as the sun just started began to set. Her tail flickered as they walked and she waited patiently for Niobe to figure out what they were going to do. Her azuer orbs wondering in different directions.

Rogue lions... grouping? It only seemed to hit Cayimmi now how close he had been to getting himself... well, with no subtleties, killed. He had heard about rogue lions, always with their teeth showing and the claws out... But in a pack? I would just have dealt with them anyway. the cub thought, rising his head in the air with a large smile. "Who wouldn't like to have me around?"
The purple youngster followed Benoni closely, inspecting the territory closely. In the light that grew dimmer each passing second, the glimpses he caught of the patches where they went seemed cozy, in their... herbal sorta way. At least, less dry then before...

The grey and maroon male followed after the females and listened carefully to the sounds of the herd they staukled as well as the breathing of his companions. "Niobe...do you think we shoulod go at them from different angles to confuse them?" His stratigic mind was coming into play. His green eyes watched everything moving and formulated the possible results. He would do as he was told though.

She nodded her head at the male. " Yes, thats what we should do." She whispered, she could see them now. The herd was plump and large in numbers, her eyes scanned over each of them slowly. Looking for an over-weigh creature, or a lame one. Her ears pulled forward as she listened to their heartbeats.
She lowered herself down slowly, she spotted a rather plump female in the back. Stupid creatures was wandering away from the herd. She smiled softly, death was already luming in the air. " Alright. See her." She motioned with her muzzle towards the female zebra. "Mandolin, can you approach from the rear? And Kila, can you go for its side? I'll attack from the front...how does that sound?" She flicked her tail softly.

Glancing toward Cayimmi he chuckled a little bit, "I've no idea who wouldnt like having you around." He nudged the cub with one of his over-sized paws as he continued to pad on forward.
His dark lavender eyes scanned around, it seemed peaceful. That was something he was pleased about. It had taken him a good couple days clearing the land of rouges and Hyena's those little pests had annoyed him pleanty. Enough for him to have killed a couple. Their skins laid flat against the caves flooring.

With a mix of annoyance and the natural cub's playfulness, Cayimmi tried to gnaw on Benoni's paw as he was nudged. Again. Man, he hated being little...
One thing that Cayimmi took some time to realize, and one that he hadn't given much thought to till that moment, was that the hyenas hadn't come back. He remembered his ex-pride always quarreling with an annoying pack, and one or two had been a common sighting before. But there was none around. None. Someone must have spread the word that I live here... he thought, waving his tail feathers from one side to the other, pleased. However, it also impressed him. This new found pride was beyond little, quite frankly, and no mutts of those were seen. Cayimmi watched Benoni's figure for a moment, trying to figure out what was going on inside the King's mind.

"I shall do my best." Mandolin said as he left the two females to take his possion. He crept along the ground stealthfully and locked his eyes on their prey. Once he was ready on the other side of the beast he flashed his tail just enough to show that he was ready.

Tequila nodded as she crawled close to the ground in the savanna grass, careful her bright colors wouldn't be seen. She made her way to where Niobe had plotted her and followed her lead. Her eyes flickered to Niobe and then to the zebra who went back for another drink as Mandolin did she flickered her own tail.

Around her, she sensed the arrival of others. Of those... Like her, but not quite. Mai had never been comfortable with other lions for extended periods of time, and had never associated them as one of her. In time, she might have, but for now.... Crouching low in her place, she froze, hardly even daring to breathe. Had they sensed her yet?
Multi-hued eyes swiveled to find the lead huntress. That's how things were supposed to work, right? The females hunted whilst the males sat around "protecting" things. Right? Dispite the encroaching darkness, their scents weren't too hard to pick up and locate. Two moved from one location, and it was there that she assumed the leader was.
No matter... They were three, and she only one, but she'd gotten used to hunting on her own, and could take down a zebra on her own if the need was there. Crouching still, her gaze returned to the beasts. The young were always the stupidest, and usually the most daring. Even beasts like these who were sure of themselves in the arriving-night. She'd been here first, not them, those other lions. Part of her told her to just wait and pick at what they didn't eat when they were done. But still a part overrode that sense of timidness and proclaimed that this was her herd for now - they could be the ones who picked on the remains of her kill.
With a low growl that vibrated through her chest, Mia lunged for the youngling off to the side. The colt was hers this night, and the first rays of moonlight would spill on his blood covering her claws and fangs. "Mine, mine, mine, mine...." Her chant coursed under her breath with every pad-fall she made in the burst of speed it'd take to get the beast.
And the irony... Oh, the irony. The pink zebra feline tonight on a zebra would dine. Dine.... Or die.

Niobe was ferocious, she let out a low growl as the pink lioness messed up their hunt. She alarmed the herd of predators, sending it off in a mad frenzy.
She flicked her tail, signaling the others to move in on the over-sized female. She snuck up as close as she could get without becoming trampled as she growled. Her body bunched up as she leaped upwards as the stupid beast raced right for her, Niobe dug her claws into the Zebra's neck. Wrapping her front legs around it, she sunk her teeth and fangs into its throat as she hung on for dear life.
The fury that brewed within her urged her onwards as she used her kind legs to kick the females chest hard, until she heard cracks as the neck was slowly, but surely breaking from the added weight of Niobe. She couldnt wait to leave this thing dead on the ground and pad over towards the other female and give her a piece of her mind, and a good swipe of her paw.
A low growl echoed out from her chest, the markings that lumed on her face danced brightly as the night slowly engulfed the sky.

Kila scented another and a soft growl emerged her throat. Her azure orbs watched Niobe leave her stance to the large female. She as well left quickly to the zebras fat belly where she thrusted her claws and fangs into every part she could get at and it ultimatly knocked the frightened prey to the ground kicking and squealing.
Crimson liquid tainted her paws and muzzle. She felt the Zebra grow weaker from the loss of blood and its neck slowly breaking from Niobe's wrath. She tore into the zebra again, waiting for it to go completly limp.

The teen male had smelled the other lioness but was focused so that he only saw the prey before him. He lept and tore into its right side with his claws and snapped at its legs.

Tequila watched as the zebra went limp and looked to where the intruder went. The zebra lay lifeless and dead on wet ground it was then that she realized the zebra had moved them partially in the water. She was debating on how to get the zebra back to the others.
