Her blood red eyes stared at the cub in slight interest. He was unusual, no doubt about that, but what did he want with the other? She sensed that the female cub was special, but what made her so dislikative of him? Her ears twitched slightly as she raised her head. Anastacia also sensed that the other lioness didn't like her. She huffed. It wasn't her problem that Zeidan allowed her into the pride. The lioness wasn't leaving either. What other pride could she fit in? Really, deep down inside, she was scared to leave. Afraid to go back out into that world and be betrayed once again. Atleast here, ties weren't too close. Being hurt by another wasn't necessarily an option. She yawned a little then settled her head back down, chuffing at the cub. "And who might you be?" Anastacia questioned. Her single feather slightly flicked as she waited for the answer.

Zeidan watched Tierany walk out, before even replying to his words. Whats wrong with her? he asked himself, before tearing his gaze away from the exit of the den, and looking down at Acrane, before tearing his gaze to Anastacia. Its something about her... it has to be... but... what? he thought. He, would probably never understand Tierany comleatly. He sighed, growling slightly at his cluelesness.

Lakona hesitated at the edge of the trees, feeling Arcane's eyes on her once more. She sighed, it hadn't been her imagination. He knew what she was, she could almost hear his thoughts. He knew she wasn't from here, wouldn't ever really belong here, and she hung her head.
"Lakona?" Tierany called from just within the shadow of the trees. "Is something wrong?" Concerned, she turned and walked back to the cub, nosing her gently. Lakona was her adopted daughter, she hated to see the little girl upset. "Come on Sweetling, tell me what's wrong? It can't be that bad."
Lakona shook it off and smiled. "Nothing! It's nothing! I was just thinking is all.. Come on! Let's go for our walk." And with that she set out at a trot, peering around the forest trail.
Tierany followed the cub with a shake of her head and a sigh, knowing what it felt like to keep your worries bottled up inside. However, she felt that a kit should not have such worries, and frowned slighly as she followed Lakona along.
"I was an adult for eons before I fell from the sky." Lakona huffed with a smile. "So stop calling me a kit.. It's not my fault I'm trapped in this form..."

"I think she doesn't want me here..." Anastacia said out of the blue. She stood up, her paws slightly stirring the dirt. Her tail waved around her slightly, the feather catching some of the terrain. "But I'm not going. I like it here. I learned a long time ago that I should not judge by actions just by people's emotions..." A small growl rumbled from her throat as she stared out into the direction Lakona and Tierany left. "I will not cause bad blood, but if she provokes me, I will attack." The lioness looked up toward the sky as a light rain, almost mist-like, came down upon them. Her ears flicked slightly at the feel of it.

A growl rolled in his throat, but this time, it was a threat. He stepped over to the lioness, looking down at her. "Lay a paw on her, and I wont hesitate to lay one on you." he hissed, the growl dark and evil.

Yawning in boredom, Arcane planted himself between Zeidan and Anastacia. Eyes half-lidded, the cub only look tired, but inside his mind whirled. "Such protectiveness for the broken spirit..." Yawning again, he flicked his ears back and forth. "The lioness is right in her own way, to follow Nature's way of justification. You let yourself be caught by emotion, King Zeidan. Some would see this as weak."

Zeidan tore his gaze away from Anastacia, to the small kit. He glared at the cub, growling. "Somebody needs to learn their place." he hissed, narrowing his eyes at Arcane.

Arcane smirked, tail twitching back and forth. "I know my place. I am a Shaman, borne of Nature's blood. No lions paw will change me."

Zeidan growled at him, his claws digging into the ground agian. "Right now, you have no place in this pride, except, as a cub. A useless cub, that has done nothing." he growled

"No one has asked anything of me." He countered. This word game was amusing. "Useless, no. Unused, yes."
Red-gold eyes glinted, the lidded eyes staring straight in Zeidan's spirit. "I have my place, my course set by my Mother. I know who I am." Daring to push his face close to the King's, the cub continued. "Do you know who you are?" With those words the male left the cave, disappearing into the light rain and shadows. Arcane would not be found unless he wanted to be.

He growled, watching the kit wander out. "This is why I don't like kits..." he grumbled, before sighing. He turned off, away from Anastacia, to the back of the cave, were only he slept. He plopped himself down, resting his head on his paws.

She huffed lightly at the threat. So Zeidan did have emotions for the lioness...interesting. And with Tierany's jealousy in the mix, things could get nasty. The lioness gave a small nod as Zeidan left toward the cave. She looked over at the cub where he dissapeared and gave a little shrug. The female's tail gave a little flick as she walked over to the place where she hid the carcass. Grabbing some of the meat on the leg of the beast, she fed, the rain continuing it's slow rythm across the land. Whe she finished, licking her paws and muzzle seemed to be a little as the rain had gotten harder during that time. She stayed outside of the entrance, her fur now soaked practically to the bone. She didn't bother to shake herself off, she would only get wetter. Growling slightly, she settled down and curled up slightly actually going to sleep this time. Her dreams were empty and full of nothing...almost too much like her scarred heart.

Lakona tumbled about the woods and chattered, explaining things she knew of the Pride Lands from being the Moon's daughter and watching over the world. She talked about the forming of the Outlands, and the Hyena's Lands, and how the lions had come to the Pride Lands in the first place, content in talking as she explored. Tierany nodded and listened, intrigued by her tales, and then asked a few questions of the stars and all lions dwelling up there, as many had become her friend while she was dead. "Oh they were wonderful when I left." Lakona said with a smile. "And they are glad you have a second chance and wish you all the happiness there is in this world... Even the Sun Antelope wishes you well." Tierany started at this. And stared at the young cub. "They do? He does? " She shook her head. She never would have thought... "Yep." Lakona laughed. "Isn't it great to have friends?"

Zeidan's eyes stayed opened, as he rested his head on his paw, He made no movments, except to breathe. His mind was cleared, and for once, he was relaxed-- For the most part. Zeidan, was never fully relaxed, that was for sure. He watched the rain drip down from the outside of the den. A red circle of water surrounded him-- Since his coat had ben practicly bathed in blood before, and the rain cleaned that off. He sighed.

Reginald brushed his paw in the ash and snorted. He lifted his head and glared over his shoulder imagening his father's face. He bared his fangs and let out a soft roar before diving deeper into the forest that he'd been herded toward by his pride. The young black cub blinked back tears and swatted at everything that lay in his way. His nose caught the scent of other lions, he jerked his head up and poured everything into a shrill roar. Maybe they would help him... He sensed darkness.
