Christ or Hiroshima I like it. Favourite band is Navio Forge. Favourite song is "Haloed Eyes" by Navio. Never really paid that much attention to the lyrics from emo bands but "Reflections On Milkweed" by Indian Summer is pretty awesome. "I will never travel brandishing a sharp tongue out of fear of piercing my own heart." EEEEEEEEEEEE surprised heart

Raziya scream EMO!!! scream I like emo when it doesn't suck. And that isn't often. But what I hear is mostly all those emo bands that sound exactly the same, and I think that has totally turned my off to the genre, which is very sad. Same here.

Terrifyingly twisted... im not sure, but is postal service an emo band? I consider it emo, but there are 50 million other people who will either correct me once I post this or will agree with me.

xxredstarxx Hi This Is Graham Emo must die. Singing about cutting yourself, suicide, girls, and breaking up is really stupid and for assholes. They all sound the same except a few bands. (Hot Water Music, The Used) They're pretty much just whiny brats. emo isnt all about cutting yourself, suicide, girls, and breaking up.. yeah, some songs might be.. but not all emo is like that... and for the record.. i have yet to actually hear a emo song about "cutting"... and i listen to alot of emo...Not to bash emo people or emo music I like some emo music, but I quote"So cut my wrist and black my eye's" Howethowrn heights or however its spelled, I don't really care cause I don't like that band at all.

i love my chemical romances "cemetary drive" lyrics: back home, off the run, singing songs that make you slit your wrists, it isn't that much fun, staring down a loaded gun, so i won't stop dying, won't stop lying, if you want i'll keep on crying, did you get what you deserve, did you get what you've been waiting for, well i meiss you,... yeah, i love it. its song 11 on their cd 3 cheers for sweet revenge! what an awesome cd. well at least i think so, and they were good live!

Hawthorne Heights (as well as MCR) are not pure emo bands. They are rock bands which implement some emocore styles to their songs but they also include a lot of influence from pop/punk and alternative rock. Calling them emo is like calling Limp Bizkit metal.

Now Motion City Soundtrack, there's a band with a singer who can actually sing! And yeah, once people start to indentify a specific style of clothing in a genre of music, than the idiotic labelling of music genres to fashion begins... Urghh. Its really sad if you think about it. Punk Rock for example, a genre of music where fans are supposed to wear whatever the ******** they want, has been classified with a specific fashion look! How they did that I have yet to fully comprehend.

Punk Rock for example, a genre of music where fans are supposed to wear whatever the ******** they want, has been classified with a specific fashion look! How they did that I have yet to fully comprehend. yeah i know what you mean by the whole fashion statement. Like right now i have an 'emo' haircut because it's short with long bangs. I love it, and i cut it this way because i liked it. well people either tell me i'm not allowed to grow it out because they like it short, or they don't like it short, so they want it long. i dunno...but my opimion is that when i'm growing it out, and i don't like it, then it can always cut it off again its no big deal. the studed (sp?) belt thing is a huge fashion thing. I personally really think those belts are cool, my friend andrew has a green and whire one it's awesome! but i really don't know. i think people have put punk with a fashion statement because of ashlle simpson...but for my opinion she has some cute clothes that i would consider waering, but thats just me. people have defined punk with blue jeans with a band t-shirt or fashion t shirt, or corset (i think corsets are cute, i own a few) or something along the lines of like black capris and a t shirt... or a preppy pop/punk look... emo=armwarmers...., fishnets...ha this past year, i've been trying to bring armwarmers back...it's not going too well...noone's conforming yet. i dunno...whatever people say i guess...i stick with blue jeans and a shirt. depending on how confortable i feel like dressing that morning, i'll wear a longer shirt or a shirt that fits just right, but i've been lazy and wearing baggy shirts lately...oh well. the scariest thing is when i wore this shirt with sequences, that fits just right under this green coat thingy, then wore my sparkly sequency wierd ballet type ordeal shoes, then walk into class and a cheerleader tells me that i looked cute and pretty...i was just like whoa. it's scary... ok...but i'm rambling again so i'm done...oh and i love how emo gets into this big fashion thing with haircuts and stuff....i dunno about society today...but the newest rave out there today is being emo/screamo/punk. you just can't become all those things in 1 night..IT TAKES TIME!!!
