"We'll have to see when the time comes for that." Closing his eyes and turning his face back to his loyal dragon, he looked more serene than usual. Often he just seemed intense and probably too serious for his own good, but it kept people from being too smart a** with him or being under the illusion that they would ever be able to get close to him. Dragons were of course a different story.

"You're right..." she said, not having thought of all the possibilities before speaking. She too closed her eyes and a deep hum began to emanate from her, something like a dragon's version of a purr.

His head angled slightly and he opened his eyes halfway, gazing at her from under his eyelashes. "Do you enjoy spending time with me Thorn?" It may seem an odd question to ask when she had obviously been enjoying herself, but Kasch did not allow himself the comfort of enjoying any person or thing's presence for so many reasons that were so unexplainable. It was hard for him to imagine someone enjoying being in the company of someone as hard and cold as he seemed. Not to mention his general angry look.

She spoke without opening her eyes. "Mmmhmm..." she paused momentarily, "I have seen you with humans. You are not so kind, and have a hard shell by wich you let no one pass. You are none other than a person of pure formality.... yet here I sit with you, having just finished a race down the side of his majesty's own castle, laughing, and speaking of things few will ever hear. I feel priveledged and warm in the knowledge that you trust in me enough to show me you." She was well aware that her answer was an odd one, maybe even difficult to understand, but she knew what she meant, and hoped that Kasch did too. She resumed the hum, only this time much lower, now it was more felt than heard.

"Dragons are more easily trusted than humans are." he said, folding his wings round his shoulders. It didn't seem like he was as stressed out as he must be, the things being spread about him and the obviously disturbing idea that his brother was gaining elemental dragons. His own dragons were powerful, but they could be taken down by certain groups of his brother's army. But elemental dragons could attack from further up and with much more power. They could obliterate his military forces, and there was at least three of them as far as his intelligence could come up with.

"Dragons are loyal, unlike scheming humans."

Her humming came to a slow stop as the idea seemed to take form... "All of them Kasch?... surely not all of them..." she let the question/statement hang in the air. The idea that no human could be trusted actually scared her. What kind of creature had no loyalty? What a brutal and crude beast it would be...

"There are a few that could be considered somewhat loyal and trustworthy." But of course.. there were other things to consider as well really, but pretty much... "It is in human nature to betray one another, even the best of humans have something in their make-up something that makes them want to spill secrets."

She cocked her head at him, and after a long pause spoke, " I shall never understand humans." she said at last, with finality.

"No one ever will Thorn." In truth, he himself was technically a human but he was immortal. Humans were not truly all corrupt, but the pain he'd felt in his heart and chest from the few he'd allowed to hurt him was enough for him to avoid letting it happen ever again. Sometimes he believed that he felt things even more powerfully than they did. It was typical of them to harm one another, to fight one another, to battle ceaselessly over trivial and meaningless issues. It was no mystery why he didn't trust them at all.

After some time she spoke again, though now more quietly and perhaps even timid, "Kasch... in Imre's land, you are seen as something.. well, unfit, not quite right... is Imre really as bad he seems, from this side?" the question had been burning for some time now, though she always felt it to personal to ask him, but now it seemed, the right time to ask.

"I don't know anymore." His eyes were trained on the ground. It had been many years since he'd seen his brother, longer than she had been alive if he remember correctly. He had barely even been an adult at the time, more like a scared and confused teenager who ran away scared at what Imre was becoming, angry for the same reason.

She nodded, then looked to the stars, her tail flicking silently behind her. "Whenever this all ends, I hope it was worth the battle."

"Even if the battle has not yet started." The war was nearly impossible to avoid, though why exactly that was it would be hard to say really since the diplomats that went from one kingdom to the next didn't really have a problem witht he people there, but the malice between the brothers was enough.

"Good sleep Thorn." He gave her head a gentle pat and then crouched, taking off and pushing himself high up into the air, landing on one of the spires of his castle. "It is time.." he mumbled to himself, dropping to his own landing platform and making his way inside to prepare for a long journey that lay ahead of him this day.
