Gender: Female Stage: Adult Acquired: Yak Custom Likes: unsure Dislikes: Everything Children: Kaimana, Veranna Atoli's Back Story:Her eyes widened as she watched her grandmother fall bloody from battle, her greyish peach form unmoving. She looked up to her fathers bloody muzzle and watched as her grandmothers life dripped from it, she couldnt feel the warmth from the tears that streamed down her cheeks, she could only stare as her grandmothers form moved closer and closer to her as she raced down it. Nosing the sliced open cheek she whimpered softly, she spun around and cried out as her father smacked her "Do not cry!" he scolded her as he then flung her small frame away from the body, she watched as the other members of the pride began to swarm around the once proud queen, they dragged her body away..let it float down the river before the crocs got to it.
Her mothers voice echoed in her mind.."Why?! What did you do!" she screamed as she rushed the male that had claimed her heart, his muzzle sticky with her mothers blood, the same muzzle that he used to fling her into the den, where another battle raged. Atoli's small frame cried out as her mother now hit the side of the den, her jaw broken, her sides bleeding without any signs of stopping. But she was still breathing, a low growl emitted from her muzzle "I will kill you.." She promised, an insane laughter was her only reply as he attacked again, Atoli blind with fear raced towards her mothers rescue, attacking her fathers face, he lept back with an angry roar, stumbling out of the den blindly as Atoli clung with all her might to his face, bitting at his eyes, she didnt see him bring his massive paw smashing down upon her being. Tossing her away, he glanced to the cowering lioness around him. "Close up that den, Do not let her out...or you will join her.." He looked upon his daughter now, the image of her mother and her grandmother, nothing of him showed on her..but her flakes and two tail feathers..He attacked her now, ripping the flakes and feathers off of her.
Her mothers best friend couldnt stand for this, she attacked him. Trying to get him off of the helpless cub, his attentions moved to her. Atoli's blood pooled around her as she slowly slipped into the darkness.She awoke being jingled around, her mothers friend hadnt won the battle but had mangaged to slip away and take Atoli with her, she wasnt sure how much longer she'd be able to go on, but she new her friends mother had two mothers, a pair of goddess who were unhappy with their daughters choice of mate, and knew it'd bring sorrow upon her, and inturn it caused her death. She glanced down at Atoli who hung from her muzzle, how would she grow up having watched her mother be locked away to die in a den of torrment, having watched her grandmother be slaughtered. She felt sorrow for the cub, but could not bring herself to kill her so that she wouldnt grow up with such memories.
She made it just to the temples garden before her body gave out, she nudged Atoli towards the safety of the temple. She watched as Atoli cried out with every step she took, 2 of her 4 legs were broken and the others badly mangled as she then looked up to the heavens, "Goddess of Serenity please hear my plea, Goddess of Chaos, please hed my call...Your daughter has been slaughtered, your granddaughter fallen...your greatgranddaughter needs you.." was the last thing she could said before her life was taken from her, her eyes slowly closed.
Atoli's small form barely made it into the opening of the temple before she fell into a small bloody heap, she could only mewl and cry as then a pair of lionesses seemed to come stepping down from the sky, they padded towards Atoli, she sniffled and cried as she tried to get away but couldnt do so. She gazed up at the lionesses, they had the eyes of her mother...of her grandmother. Thinking it was them she crawled her way towards them, nuzzling their paws.
"Serenity...what has he done to our family?" Chaos asked as she looked to her beloved, she then looked down to the small cub that laid at their paws.
"I do not know.." Serenity's muzzle lowered as she then nuzzled Atoli, her wounds then slowly healing, and the awful memories she held were then locked away not to be remembered. They'd still cause her pain and she'd be sore but atleast now she wouldnt die from blood loss or infections.
"He'll pay for this.." Chaos growled as her crimson eyes flashed angery and she disappeared.
"Chaos! No...damnit." Serenity shook her head as she looked down at Atoli who was asleep from the heavy magic her greatgrandmother had just placed on her, she picked up the cub and padded into the temple and laid her to rest in her grandmothers once sleeping area, to which Serenity had kept it fresh and clean.
Chaos returned with a bloody muzzle, she slaughtered the prides insane King. Rage still lingered in her eyes, but it wasnt as strong as the pain she felt for the loss of her daughter and granddaughter. Coming into the temple she looked to the cub to laid in her daughters sleeping place. She couldnt help the tears that swelled in her eyes, the hot tears fell in a flood as she sobbed.
Serenity nuzzled her mate softly as they then both disappeared and stared at the watery grave of their daughter, their cries echoed out over the land as they mourned thier lost. Serenity waved her paw over the water, a water lilly began to blossom, they'd been her daughters favorite flower. Turning they looked at one another, they knew they had to go back now.
They slowly helped each other raise Atoli, trying to fill the whole the loss of their daughter had created. But, as she slipped into her teenage years she noticed as one day her greatgrandmothers came back as cubs, confused by all of this. She questioned it, only for the truth of her mother's death to finally come out, for her memories to finally be unmagically blocked. She was angry, as had been the other gods, the Goddess's punishment was to become cubs and go through the trails of life once again, and to have Atoli's memories come back to her...
Atoli fled her great-grandmothers vowing to never see them again...
