Midnight continued to look around the small clearing as she listened to Apple's words. "I bet she is. It's nice to have a companion or two around to keep happy and active." She wanted a companion of her own, but until she found her old owner or a new one that idea was put on the backburner. Sighing, she slowly trotted to the edge of the clearing and glanced back at Apple. "Wanna try to look for her out in the plains area?" she asked him curiously, wondering if the blue wolf was out there instead of in the forest.

Apple shrugged a little at the mare's question. "I think we should try to look for your two legger, if she is around here then I'm sure she misses you as much as you miss her." The stallion said lifting his head up to look around for any sign of a two legger. "Unless, you don't want to look for your two legger." As the stallion said this, he looked at the mare with a small smile on his face. He was very sure they wouldn't find the little blue wolf, even if they tried to find her.

Midnight canted her head to one side when Apple suggested that they look for her human. She had no idea where to look for her. "I don't know. I've been looking for her for the past year and I haven't see any signs of her. Something tells me that she doesn't want to be found." Sighing, she scuffed one of her hooves on the ground. She didn't know what to do know. She was confused and a little sad.

Nodding to the mare, Apple let out a soft sigh. "Well, I shall look for her if you want me to." He offered closing his eyes to think like a human. "Of course, if you dont want me to look for her, then I shaln't." Apple said quickly opening his eyes again to look at the mare. Watching the mare's face quickly turn sad, the stallion thought of a way to make her happy again. "You want to go to the river for something to drink?"

Midnight nodded her head, but remained silent for a few moments. She began to think of the places where her old human would be around, but then she tossed the thought aside. She knew her human didn't want to be found. If she wanted to be found then she would have been found by now. Letting a soft sigh escape her maw, she shook her head slightly before listening to Apple's question. She smiled slightly and nodded her head. "That would be a wonderful idea," she said to him as she slowly began to trot to his side again.

Tossing his head up a bit, he watched his mane fall behind his ear lightly. Digging at the dirt with his front hoof, he lifted his head to look at the mare with a smile. "Alright, let's go." He said lightly as his ears perked up a bit and he took off at a slow trot towards the river. Looking back to see if the mare was following, Apple slowed down a bit to make sure she could catch up to him. Looking at the river with his light grey eyes, he listened to the soft sound of the water flowing.

Midnight hesitated for a few seconds as she watched Apple disappear into the forest. Looking around for a few moments, she slowly began to go in the direction she saw the stallion go in. Not sure of where she was going, she was surprised to see that Apple had slowed down to wait for her. Arching her neck slightly, she trotted up beside him and gazed at the river in front of them.

Smiling that the mare had followed him, the stallion took off again at a slow trot this time. Looking back everynow and then to make sure the mare was following him, Apple smiled then looked ahead of him again noticing a small river. "Here we are!" He said happily trotting over to the side of the river and bending his head down to take a sip of the cool water.

Midnight Shadow made sure that she stayed behind Apple as they slowly made their way towards the small river. As they finally approached it, she gazed around the area curiously, mainly out of habit. Stopping next to the stallion, she dipped a hoof into the cool water for a second before dipping her head down to lap up the water. Flicking her ears constantly, she slowly drank in the cool water, her ears on alert for any predators that might be lurking around.

The stallion's eyes shot around as he watched the mare drinking. Lifting his head up, the stallion made sure the keep watch for the mare so she could relax for a few minutes. Ears perked straight up, the stallion quickly picked up any sounds that were made. The mare lapping at the water, and birds singing their songs filled the stallion's ears. So far there was no sign of a predator, but the stallion still kept a look out for the mare. The sweet sounds of the birds beautiful songs made the stallion smile a bit.

Midnight looked up quickly to see that Apple was busy looking out for predators. She relaxed her body slightly, happy that someone was looking out for her. As soon as she was done, she slowly lifted her head up and began to gaze around to allow the stallion to get a drink of water himself. She didn't want to let him feel unprotected around this open area and she wanted to repay him by keeping watch for him when he kept watch for her.

Bending his head down for his turn to drink, the stallion quickly took a sip then pulled his head up to the mare's level. Swallowing his mouthfull of water, he looked to the mare with a smile. The mare was very nice, and she seemed to be less tense when she finally got to know him better. Looking up at the sky, the stallion watched as an eagle flew over their heads.
