A head tilt and a slightly concerned look crossed his features. It didn't take a genius to figure out why she might not have been sleeping well. "No problem... you need the rest."
Settling down beside her, Ed nosed her cheek. "Get some sleep, I'll be right here." Nope... he wasn't going anywhere. Edward intended to be here when she woke up.

Eyes already closed she missed Ed's look of concern. A soft sound of happiness came from Lily as he nuzzled her cheek, and she turned her face into the gesture with a happy smile. "Thank you, Edward. I can always... count on you."
Snuggling into the teen Liliana sighed, her crimson body relaxing as she easily slipped into a peaceful slumber. Her white & gold tails flicked once, finding Edward's and mingling with them subconsciously.

Her last words before she fell asleep, caused him to smile. He would always do his best to be there for her, to be someone she can count on. He watched over her for quite some time, wondering what she might be dreaming. Eventually, he decided that he could do with a nap as well. The alchemist stretching out his automail paw and folding his flesh one beneath him. Using Liliana's shoulder as a pillow, he too drifted off.

Exhausted, Liliana slept the evening and night away. Her only show of noticing the sun set being the way she curled into Edward, wings and tails enveloping them both like blankets as she snuggled closer to push out the chill that accompanied the darkness.
She stretched with a small yawn as the morning sun's ray's flicked out to touch her face. Liliana's face looked more relaxed and peaceful than it had in many days. Her mind did not quite grasp that the sun was rising, only that it was there. Smiling she hugged Edward, watching him softly with drowsy green eyes.

He'd taken a nap.. woken up again... and then found himself getting enveloped up Lilianna's wings and tails. He'd welcomed it and actually snuggled up with her. The alchemist having removed his red coat to place over her as her body was enough to keep him warm, and he didn't want her to get cold. It was then that he curled up and get a good night's sleep. One paw draped over his nose.
It was early morning when he awoke with a yawn. The teen watching as the sun came over the horizon and bathed them in a warm light. The colored of the sunrise reflecting off his golden eyes when Lilianna awoke. It wasn't until she hugged him that he looked at her, a smile splitting his maw. "Good morning... did you sleep well?" he asked cheerfully. She certainly looked well rested, and he was glad for that.

Her heart skipped a beat, finally noticing he was without his coat and that she was with it... then skipped another when she was reminded how much his coat covered. Yes, he was a teen (not that Lily thought about it much) but he was a fit teen -something which could be seen beneath his black clothing. She sucked in her breath sharply. Besides... Ed looked good in his black outfit.
Funny that she should care or notice things like that when she herself never wore clothing.
She smiled brightly, both because she was happy & to see his smile. "Good morning." Lily ducked her head, momentarily feeling suddenly shy. "Yes I did. Did you?"

Did he look good in black? Edward hardly thought about it.. but then... most guys were not the most fashionably adept. He probably would take more pride in it if he knew that Lilianna was... that impressed.
Edward grinned, "Sure did!" giving her a light poke with his paw, wondering about her sudden shyness. C'mon now.. as if she needed to be shy! A gentle lick was placed upon her cheek, with intention to bring her out of that.

She jerked a little as Edward licked her, a shiver traveling the length of her body. Green eyes snapped to face him, smiling but with a hint of "what was that for" behind them. "I'm glad."

He gave a short laugh as she jerked from his lick, grinning broadly when that questioning look was given in his direction. A mischievious glint in his eyes that seemed to say 'No reason'. He just wanted a reaction out of her. He knew she should probably be heading home soon, but he wasn't going to be the one to bring that to her attention. Instead, he was just enjoying the moment with her. The teen placing a paw over hers as he turned his gaze back to the sunrise, the sky lighting up in various colors and reflecting off passing clouds.

Crinkling up her nose at the look in his eyes Liliana playfully feigned hurt and turned to watch the sunrise with him. "I've never just sat and watched it before..."
It would take a moment for her to remember her morning workout. Or that her potions homework had not been done the afternoon before since she had been here.

"Really? I guess there's a first time for everything." The teen yawned once, and stretched his forepaws... the automail stretched more out of habit since it didn't really need it. "Sometimes Al and I would sit and watch the sky, and just talk. Usually we'd talk about the past, especially mom. You know.. just remembering." Flipping on his back, a content smile on his maw... Edward looked up as a few lazy clouds passed. Reaching his right paw into the air, he seemed to scrutinize the glinting metal for a moment.

She listened, softly smiling s her silly act faded. She was not good at such things anyway. Lily watched him on his back a moment, simply taking it all in & enjoying it. She wondered why he looked at his automail paw so and was about to ask when a jolt of thought struck her.
"Oh! It's morning!" Yeah. News flash. They only exchanged good mornings already. "I've not done my homework & I'm supposed to meet Zell soon!" Only a flash of panic, less perhaps then what it should be. She grinned at Ed sheepishly. "I want to finish watching the sunrise..."

Blink. Edward turned to look at her again, lowering his paw and staring somewhat confusedly as she affirmed that it was indeed morning. Then went on how she had lessons and such. The teen smirked amusedly, "I'm sure Zell would understand, right?" Its not like Lilianna was required to work out with him every day. As far as her homework.. well.. he wasn't so sure. He just knew that he didn't really want her to leave. He might not see her for awhile... because Edward had already made up his mind not to bother her until she came to a decision.

She relaxed, nodding lightly. "I'm sure he will. Zell's easy going like that. He'll probably even insist I do my homework instead as long as I do a quick warm-up to get my blood going or something like that." Grinning now she flopped beside her friend. "I should still go after the sun's fully up. Zell's understanding, but Severus is not. As long as he's teaching me... I follow his rules."

"Yeah... I know how teachers can be" he replied, grinning back at her. Oh yes.. he knew all about strict teachers, he use to have one in his before. If she thinks Severus is scary... heh... she didn't want to meet Izumi. Not that he didn't care about his teacher, no... she had been like a second mother to him. But well... she used methods of rather intense... 'tough love', you might say. He chuckled as a thought came to mind, "Its too bad that alchemy can't stop the sun from coming up." He had really enjoyed the time he'd spent with Lilianna.
