When he said that, it caused her to pause and her face went red in a blush. 'He said my smile is beautiful?!' she thought to herself, rubbing at her face, trying to make the blush go away. 'But why?! I'm not dark and exotic! Not like my sisters!' she didn't know what to say or do, her heart felt like it was about to thunder out of her chest.

Vanafindon simply lay there, quietly watching her -oblivious to the thoughts that tumbled through the female's mind. Lucia was smiling and *joy* blushing charmingly so there was no reason for him to mar the moment with words. Especially when those words might give him away. No matter what he felt... no matter what feelings might swell within him the longer he remained in her presence, Vana could not let their extent be known.
So he smiled softly at her, a look of peace and joy on his peach and white face. His blue wings lay relaxed upon his back, the blue stripe down his back seeming to blend the two wings into one large blue blanket shape. Vana did not think he could ever tire looking at her. The subtlety of her stripes, faint because of her delicate & light coloring, enthralled him. And she was sweet... being with Lucia made him feel good. Like he was someone more than just a twin.

Finally pushing aside her self-demeaning thoughts for now, she got her emotions back under control. She wanted to ask what did he mean by that, but it didn't seem....right to ask such a question. No one other then her family had ever said she was beautiful, and to hear it from someone who was 'non-family' threw her for a loop!
She let out a breath, turning her head to look at him and say something, but she caught him staring right at her, and the intensity of his gaze caused her blush to come back tenfold and her heart to thunder again.

When she looked at him and suddenly blushed like that the male's blue eyes went wide with realization. He had been caught staring! ohno.ohno.ohno.ohno! Quickly he averted his gaze, though he could not bear to look away completely and still watched her from the corner of his eyes. His own face flushed at being discovered -all the way to the tips of his ears. Well, nearly, for the black tips there hid the warmth from sight at least. Vana could feel their heat.

Lucia averted her gaze back to the water, trying not to stare at his reflection. She had to get a hold of herself, it wouldn't do to let her emotions run out of control on her! Gulping, she finally spoke, "So how do you like your family so far?" she asked, a little nervousness evident in her voice.

Eye-spotted tails slowly started to wag faster in relief of a subject to cling to. Something to focus his thoughts on -beside the beauty next to him- and maybe give Vana a chance to bring his flush under control. "I really like them! They're overwhelming most of the time, but it would be far worse if we ever actually saw everyone all at once. But usually there's a bunch busy elsewhere or off on their own or something, so it's almost manageable to learn who everyone is. I don't know how Zell learned who everyone is so quickly."
He was rambling, eyes flicking back & forth to watch Lucia. "It's kinda amazing... so many different creatures and personalities but no one's really mean or cruel. But then maybe that's part of the magic of the place."
Turning his head Vana watched her reflection for a moment. It was beautiful too, but he preferred the real thing. A smile played at him maw as the twin permitted himself a momentary daydream.

Lucia listened intently, smiling as she looked down at her reflection and then to his, blushing when she saw he was looking at her reflection. 'I can understand how that is. My Kitsu family is big, but the other creatures in my family...well....it can be overwhelming just how many there are and more seem to come. But I like having a big family, you're never really lonely." she softly, looking up at him with soft, green eyes.

He smiled then quickly looked away briefly seeing her reflection blush, hoping she had not seen him looking at her reflection yet certain she had. Vana could not bring himself to look away long. Not with the soft way she was speaking. "Is that how it works?" He asked lightly, turning to gaze at her soft green eyes... and falling into them. "Having a twin... guess I've never known loneliness."

Lucia giggled lightly, "Well, neither have I. There is always someone there I can be around, someone I can talk to. But I guess.....I sometimes wish....I had someone who wasn't really family..." she confessed, looking down into the water.

Her giggle made his heart smile, but her words... "I never really thought about it before." ... before I met you. Thankfully she had looked away, so the words would not be evident in his eyes as Vanafindon felt they were. "Now that I have... it does sound kinda nice." If it's you...
A nervous chuckle burbled from inside him. "Lucia? Would you... would you like to do something?" oooo. Real smooth, Vana.

She looked up at him when he asked her, a curious look on her face, but she smiled and nodded, "Sure, what do you have in mind?" she asked.

"You like flying 'cause of the freedom, right? So..." Vana's smile was almost shy. Almost. "Have you ever just run? It can be just as exhilerating." His tails wagged, hopefully. He knew he would need to wear himself out if he was ever going to sleep tonight. Otherwise thought of Lucia would keep him awake.
Besides, seeing her run... A slight blush colored his cheeks, heart beating rapidly already. That would be a lovely sight indeed.

"Running?" she said curiously, tilting her head. Sometime she ran after one of the 'buddies' when she was too angry to fly, but running was something she didn't do alot of. "Well, not actually, I haven't. Did you want to go running?" she asked, smiling.

That smile! "I would like to. But only if you do." He could not outright confess how he wanted to prolong their time together as much as he could. "It's different than flying... the things you run by... Well it's hard to explain. Great for that feeling of freedom when your wings are tired. So, will you? Run with me?" Say you will, Lucia! She smiled brightly at him, immediately nodding her head, "Of course I would Vana, I would love to!" she said, standing up to her feet.
