Esildo didn't lose his contemptuous glower even as the rude man waved his blade in front of his face. "Not everything can be solved with violence..." he muttered darkly as the man called Scorpion strode out of his office. He rubbed his head mournfully. Why him? Why did he have to always deal with these muscle-headed brutes that -- Someone calling his name in a vaguely familiar voice caught his attention. His face and his mood lightened considerably as he spotted a tall Viera making his way towards him. "Ah! Lahhel! What are you doing back in town?" He rubbed his shiny dome ruefully. "Still have more hair than me and my family combined I see..." He grinned. "They're fine. Angela's still complaining that I complain too much." He winked. "But with all her complaining about my complaining, I really don't know which of us is ahead at the moment."

Cackling in evil glee, the gargoyle charged again. This time, for the summoner. His confidence had been boosted by the disappearance of the lady. Now he was going to make the man disappear, too! Darting in and out in a hopefully confusing pattern, the little gargoyle got close enough to scratch furiously at the summoners legs. The clawing the summoner was getting was bound to hurt. But the little gargoyle went on for several moments before zipping backwards to avoid any counterstrikes. He rested on the ground for a moment, his wings not being very strong. The entire time he was glaring at the insolent man.

Lahhel laughed as Esildo told him about his lovely wife, "I see you two still get along very well" he said smiling as his eyes almost closed.
Moments after that warm greeting Lahhel noticed the surroundings, where a young summoner was fighting and a odd looking figure stood far behind Esildo. The crowd was small ,but excited with the spectacle. "So, today is just a small one, right? These kids look talented, you think they'll give the crowd some fun?" Lahhel asked resting his hands on the handle top of the swords on his waist. "By the way, do you still have that big one you found at Dij'Hiran? I want to fight him again. I bet he remembers me" Lahhel finished this last sentence laughing a bit and passing his finger on an old, almost faded scar on his right cheek.

Esildo let out a big smile. "You know...I do still have him." His eyes sparkled. "And I just might bring him out for an old friend. He'll be the grand finale." He smile widened. "Yeah...he'll be glad to get his hands on you again." Letting out a big hearty chuckle, Esildo waved towards the stadium. The summoner had brought out Shiva but was now relying on his own doubtable sword skills. "Eh...they're kids. What can I say? They have potential. They just need a little more time to mature." He shook his head. "I don't know how the summoner is going to do, though. He looks to be struggling..."

dythnix watched the hit and lept back to watch for another movement but it didn't move so he lowered his stance and stood straight [note that the sword is still drawn......he doesn't take chances]

[It is not dead. >_> If you would look back up at my post, you would see that it has 21 health left before that last attack. You didn't do 21 points worth of damage.]

The little gargoyle's eyes widened as the lumbering hume finally hit him. But his look of surprise transformed into one of triumphant glee as the sword scraped down his tough hide without doing much damage at all. Still, dodging had been a bit of an effort. He plopped his bulk down on the ground, wings taking a well-deserved rest. He wasn't fast enough on the ground to get in another swipe with his claws. But there was one thing left for him to try. He grinned, the expression growing and growing until it stretched across his entire face. The look on his face was one of malice and was enough to instill horror in even the most seasoned of warriors. The gargoyle's attack was one designed to literally scare his opponent's to death.
