Jeff made an odd squeaking noise and turned to face Yakov. He had a sheepish look and cringed. HE couldn't think of anything to say.

As mad as Yakov was at Jeff, he did actually like Brandon, so he got up to say hello. Many greetings were exchanged and Brandon explained that he had been the victim of a near fatal snowball barrage from Erika. There was much laughter and then Brandon noticed Jeff. He flashed his absolutley perfect smile. "And who is this?"
Yakov shot Jeff a look. "Brandon, this is my fiance Jeff. Jeff, Brandon, long time friend of the family." He couldn't help but smile. "Erika's been beating him up since she could make a fist."
Brandon laughed. "Gave you a break didn't I? And look at you! You're off on your own for a few months and you come back all engaged...and to rather attractive man no less?" He smiled at Jeff again and held out his hand. "Hi, I'm Brandon. Welcome to the family."

Jeff just stared for a second then took his hand and shook. He turned to Yakov with shock all across his face. "You mean to tell me that that didn't turn you gay?!" He pointed at Brandon but stared at Yakov. "Wow...I feel special..."

Jeff let himself be drug out of the room. "Um...he is one of the most gorgeous men I have ever seen. And you're saying you've known him forever, and still stayed straight?" Jeff was trying to figure it out. "Wow..."

Yakov continued glaring. "Hey, Jeff, you maybe want to think about your little scene in the kitchen and figure out just why I may be unhappy at the moment?"

"s**t Jeff." Yakov was rather furious. "It's not that you looked at him. It's not like I'm that blind that I don't know what the man looks like. But you, holy crap, you were melting so fast I thought I was gonna have to carry you out of there in a bucket."

"Sorry!" Jeff was still cringing, he hadn't though he'd been that...obvious. " I was just...unprepared?" There really was no excuse for how he acted and he knew it. Yakov had every right to be pissed at him.

Yakov sighed. "Yeah, I know. But just let me know when you can stand to look at me again, okay." He then returned to kitchen and started talking to Brandon again.
"Sorry about Jeff. He gets a little over excited."
Brandon just laughed and smiled. "No problem man, I'm kinda used to it actually."
Erika laughed. "We basically can't let him out in public anymore."
Brandon scowled at Yakov. "Wait a second here, your friend had a point. Turns out you actually like men and not once have you swooned over me. Quite frankly, I'm offended."
Yakov laughed. "Well, you see, unlike the rest of the world. I've actually met you."
Brandon laughed as well. "Yeah, I suppose that does ruin it doesn't it."

Jeff took a deep breath and then slunk back out into the room, he wrapped an arm around Yakov and smiled apologetically, "Sorry..." he mumbled.
