Bren was weaving seaweed together at the surface in an attempt to make a blanket. It'd been a while since he'd seen his baby brother and he wanted to have something to give him, if he ever saw him again.

"We will, son, I'm sure," Kinetar said. Not for the millionth time, he wished he had legs so he could find his other son, and bring him home.
And they say sometimes a wish is granted as you think it, as Ching and his teacher finally came into sight. "Father! Bren!"
"Oh!" Kinetar exclaimed. "My boys, both of you grow so rapidly, and become so handsome!"

"How long will you be here this time?" Bren looked down at the bottom of the lake, nervous.
