Emerald wiped her tail angrily, Hissing at Travis once more, she snapped at him. Jen lifted the leash upright so Emerald's head was forced up slightly. "Just like a scaley puppy!" she said. Jen finally unclasped the harness and took merald away from Travis.

Travis suppressed a breath of relief when Jen took Emerald.

Natsumi cleared the table set up against the wall and placed Jena's Gear on it. She began to work on the Gear.

Emerald climbed on Jen's shoulder as she opened the cage and put th lizard inside. "I'll be back as soon as I can okay?" she said. Emerald simply jumped on a rock and curled up to sleep. Jen put the top of the cage back on and turned off the heating lamp."Okay let's go now Travis." Jen said goining to the door. She stopped when she heard arguing on the other side.

Jen looked at the floor as she heard her name come up again, again, and again. She turned to the window and opened it.
"And what's with the SUV in front? I've never seen it before!" Jen's mom said.
"It's been there for hours..." Matt said. "The neighbors had a bunch of people over earier.
Jen went back to Travis and grabed his arm. "Come on." she whispered in his ear.Jen pulled him quietly to the window.

Jen climbed out the window, sighing when the yelling got louder. She reached into her pocket, put her ipod in and maxed out the volume to drown it out.

Travis slipped as he was climbing out the window and hit the ground with a thud and a quiet grunt.

Jen lifted Travis up, "Travis you lame!" she said going to pull him to the front. She ran as fast as she could, only to run into her parents.
Jen's mom just stared at them angrily, "Finally decided to come back I see!" she said.
Jen's dad shook his head, "How could you be so stupid, running away like that?!?! And I'm sure you were staying with him right?" he said glaring at Travis.

After an hour or so, Natsumi proudly looked over Jena's Gear. "There! Good as new!" she said. And she was right. It looked like it probably did the day Jena got it.

Travis flinched back when Jen's parents yelled.
"Thanks." Jena said with a smile. It actually looked better than the day she got it.
