She got it cause she was taking estrogen for menopause and her cells mutated.. Shingles isn;t that bad though.. I had it when I was in grade 10. I missed nearly two weeks of school because of it, but it wasn't that bad..

It's the herpes zoster virus, only it attacks your nerve endings and results in a painful blistering rash that you only get on one side of your body.

No wonder why my parents wanted me to get chicken pox when I was little x.x' But my mom never had it, and she has not gotten shingles yet, so I hope I will be as lucky as she is ^^ You can get chickenpox from shingles if you have never had it.. That why I missed two weeks of school because of it. I got it 4yrs ago. But my doc said, if I remember correctly, it's rare for people under 20? to get it. I can't rememeber
How is your mom doing?My mum? She's good. Other then the fact she can't bend over or pick stuff up.
Did they say when she would make a full recovery?Yeah se will. It will take her a few weeks or even a month or two to heal completely though.
