OK, I have a bloody rant. I've been so pissed off about the principles behind it I damn near quit my job.
The head office has been screwing myself and a couple workers over for some time now, and s**t keep coming up they didn't bother to notify us about.
First off, I work electronics retail. I sell computers, cell phones, TV's, s**t like that. As such, we get paid some commission based on sales for the pay period and bonus pay called spiffs for selling certain things.
When our store went Independant, a series of changes occurred corporate wise that didn't affect us. Commission levels dropped while required sales per hour increased. Originally you could get 1x,2x,4x, 8x commission based on a percentage of the gross profit you made the company. You used to get paid spiffs no matter what you did.
When our store returned to Corporate status, they neglected to inform us it is now 1x,2x,3x and if you don't hit the minimum you forfeit all commissions and spiffs.
spiffs for various products has dropped drastically in the last year. You used to get 18-25 bucks for a cell phone. Now you might get 10 bucks at most on most phones.
They're killing incentives to sell, yet want a small store in the middle of ******** nowhere to sell as much crap as a store in large city centres like Vancouver or Toronto. They keep cutting back our commission, cut back our spiffs.
They also reset the hire dates on myself and another worker, so we lost all seniority we acquired and will not have medical benefits until september. I've been with this company four ******** years and they pull this s**t on us?
It has the asssistant manager and myself pissed off. She has a parttime job set up now and is seriously considering going full time there and I'm practically ready to go hit the employment centre and find a new job. any job. I have a tech job lined up already for the evenings, I just need a good day job for a steady cheque.
Dammit I used to like a good number of aspects of my job but now I just don't care.

Yeah, that's unfair to the max, man. I'm surprised you *HAVEN'T* left that job! The fact that you're still only at the "strongly considering" stage says a lot about your patience razz
Yeah, if you can get a better job, take it ASAP. I'd do the same if I wasn't thinking of going back to school (strong likelihood this will happen!).
My rant: Boredom. Sheer, unadulterated, unfiltered boredom. I've run out of anime (well, the anime I want to watch are out of new eps for the next week or so), and I've got no new games, and I've no interest in starting up any of my old games.
Also, I have not found the right motivation to finish the "re-envisioned" first issue of my comic. I've got the key events and the summary done, but cannot get myself to complete the panel-by-panel script, and Trin's been so busy he hasn't even sounded off yet on any of the new/reworked ideas.

We're understaffed at it would not be fair to the other two workers if I waliked out. The worker that found the PT job could do the same thing and just walk but she won't for the same reasons I won't walk.
Also like you I've had a minor lack of motivation and lack of time to work on my novel. I might post part of it in the proper forum later on.
But yeah, Not a rant this time about but I'm holding back hehe.

I also suffer from lack of focus. I can't focus on just one thing, and it's apparent in everything I do from writing to daily activities. The only time I'm totally honed in and focused would be during video games >_>

ARGH! I argued with the most INFURIATING little man EVER! Me and Herb and a couple of guys were out last night, one of whom is Mihai. Mihai and I got into a debate/argument over comic books and long running television series and he was soooo infuriating! Kept going back and forth over the same points and UGH! Honestly, I felt like I was gunna blow up -_-

Yes, I like debates, but only debates that are passionate, while at the same time wholesome and intelligent, and overall good hearted fun.
This argument with him was passionate, but it was largely unintelligent, definitely not wholesome, and overall was not good for my heart!
I like debates where people can make counter-points, or additions, without making the other person feel down or belittled. I like debates where th focus is on knowledge and furthering the topic, and not on proving you're right. This guy he was so focused on proving he's right, and not even intelligently taking in whatever I say!
