"N-no, it's okay!" Kaleb said quickly, starting to fidget while maintaining the shield in place. He didn't want Riley to get the wrong impression and be afraid to touch him when he was practicing. "I-I l-like it, when you touch me."

He shook his head slightly and had to set down his game controller just in case he pressed something wrong. He wasn't going to turn those words into anything. Nope he wasn't. Even if he already had. "Oh .... okay"

Kaleb fidgeted a bit worse, not knowing how to interpret Riley's answer. His partner looked a little unsettled and that didn't help the mage's anxiety, and he desperately tried to think of what he might have had said or done wrong.

Sighing he leaned his head on Kaleb's shoulder. "Stop fidgeting .. makes me feel weird." It was bad enough he was already having bad thoughts he didn't need his partner looking weird too.

Kaleb calmed down significantly when Riley made it clear he wasn't afraid to touch him. "S-sorry," he said quietly, sighing a bit.

"I forgot ya get iffy when ya've used magic." He almost kinda remembered Kaleb being over sensitive when they were stuck under the building but it was a little fuzzy

"I-it's okay," Kaleb said quietly, finally dispelling the shield. He could hold it longer, but he would also run the risk of making himself uncomfortably warm. And if Riley decided to get clingy, he didn't want to have to push him away.

"I-I think maybe I'm done for now," Kaleb said, fidgeting again as he started to get restless.

Kaleb quickly shook his head. It all looked too complicated, even if he started from the beginning. He grabbed a pillow and wiggled over to lie on his stomach next to Riley, using the pillow to rest his head on so he could still see the TV screen.

He shrugged after Kaleb was settled and went back to playing. He was about half way though so maybe it would get more interesting for his partner to watch from now on.

After a few minutes Kaleb rolled over onto his back, holding the pillow on top of his chest and tilting his head so he could watch Riley play. He was really starting to hope his ankle healed quickly, another day of not being able to get anywhere would just drive him crazy.

"Ya sure ya don't wanna play?" He didn't look at Kaleb since he was still playing. It had to be boring laying there and he didn't want Kaleb being bored.

"Yeah," Kaleb said, although it was awkward to talk with his head tipped back. He wasn't bored, just restless and unable to focus well enough.
