 Clearer, more recent picture. No one ever guesses I'm part asian. Its always Spanish first, then Hawaiian(sp), though thats only because my name is Hawaiian.

Oy, I've gone out with a guy with an Asian fetish. Bleehhh.
Might have something to do with him living in a very Asian home.
His stepmother was Chinese...
But then again, he didn't like her very much. ::shrug::
I despise the term "yellow fever".
It creeps me out like crazy.
Having a fascination with a race is kind of silly, I think.
I mean, unless you're truely interested in learning about their history and customs, etc.
But it seems like most people are just interested in their people and study their customs like one would animals in a zoo.

On a semi-related note... even Japanese people mistake me for Japanese.
Great. I shop at the Japanese specialty mart sometimes, and people talk to me in Japanese.
I am 100% Chinese, baby.

"Oh, okay, nevermind."
And they go away.

My boyfriend and I sat next to a couple about our age in a restaurant last week, apparently on a first date. They looked almost exactly like us, too - Asian girl, preppy-looking tall white guy. It's funny how sometimes white guys feel the need to act "cultured" to impress an Asian girl, and [this goes for a lot of people in general] in their attempts to come across as NOT racist, they make themselves look like racists.
"My uncle dated an Asian woman once." --- Bad move.
"It didn't work out." --- Ouch.
"He knocked her up..." --- gonk
I accidentally flung my food at the guy's a**.
Not because of that - I'm just clumsy.
Luckily it was dry food, but everybody laughed really hard at me [including him and his date] and I was blushing with embarassment.

people who are mixed get the weirdest guesses at their ethnicity. a friend of mine from high school is mixed, chinese/white, and the first day i saw her i thought she was Native. duh me.

I'm an extreme example of a European mutt, with a tiny bit of Native American mixed in, yet at the start of one year of school, almost everyone thought I was Mexican. Boy did that change when it was winter. biggrin

A Fatal Fairytale Aeolusis AFF: OMG I love the picture of you sleeping and those glasses are so pretty. They kinda gives you a sexy librarian look, with the short haircut. Its unfair most of you peeps have such good looking hair and mines s**t. crying Hahaha, thank you. xD With the amount that I read, I probably could be a librarian.

My two cents on the whole bloodline/racial looks fetish... I don't really have a preference. P:
Although, when I was at Six Flags a while back with some friends, one of them would perk up every time an asian female passed. It got bad enough that I'd slap near his 'sensitive spot' every time one passed. B< The last one we saw with me connecting and him limping off into a corner. Teehee. Wolffy000 Aeolusis I never would have guessed you had asian heritage, I just knew you were cute. ;p (but I'll try to keep those comments to a minimum, 'cause it makes guys kinda feel weird, that and I don't want my a** beaten. xp ) Most people don't, but most of my genetics are made up of Japanese and Pacific islander. It throws me off because I would automatically assume I look fairly like that, but I guess I don't. Blessing and a curse. Though, I really could care less about you thinking I'm cute. I appriciate the compliments. As for my own personal prefences, well, every region of the world has it's special little delicacies to offer. It's just up to the individual to find the true jewels of the world. I'll still try to keep those comments to a minimum. 3nodding I agree with that. Urby: More lovely for you to look at. heart I love the belt and top. Most people don't even know I'm a quarter hispanic, I don't even look like, but my brother and mom sure do. I've gotten some strange looks when I've been with them. Quite a few this last 4th of july in Las Vegas, NM. Didn't help I was in the hispanic part of town. sweatdrop
