So is what decreed? [Edit: Well, we're off now, anyway.]
And the mimzy plushie is rather cute, but the movie looks so-so. I don't think that it looks like it's for two-year-olds or anything, but it doesn't look like a super-amazing movie, either.
Oh, and apparently the weekly comic is supposed to have an underlying theme about Gaia selling-out to stupid things, or something. o___O

No, she's implying it's a super amazingly-fantastic movie. Movie of the Millenium, everything after this will seem drab and pointless. It has something for everyone.
For fantasy type people, a fantasy story-line. For history type people, a story based from a historical event. For guys, lots of blood, gore and action from Frank Miller, the man who brought you Sin City. For the girls, a lot of bearded, muscled, bare-chested eye candy. Really, no foolin' beards.

The way it was done was really amazing and so was the story line.
I just didn't like the ending. Really at all.

But isn't that how most movies are, anyway? People think that they're based on fact, when they are, actually, totally made up? ;coughcoughdavincicodecoughcough;

death-light HoiPolloi For history type people, a very messed up story with only one percent based from a historical event. Anyone going into this movie expecting an historically accurate experience needs a good swift kick. Seriously. The movie is based on a graphic novel which was based on the Battle of Thermoplyae. Of course it's going to get lost in translation. Frank Miller likes to jazz things up, and he does a damned fine job of it. That's one of the reasons I don't go to the theater to watch these movies. There's always ONE person complaining about historical accuracy.

I went to the theatre to watch 300 last night...little did I know that 300 other people had the same idea. There was seriously a line up of like 200-300 people waiting to get into to it, more than half an hour before it started. Which sucked. And it was sold out which wasn't fun either. So I didn't get to see it. I was pissed. Instead I walked home and recorded some videos of me playing guitar to put on youtube. Which you can find at http://www.youtube.com/colindavis01 by the way.
