"Carnath toss me Osslet;" Toole couldn't help but chuckle at the cold stare from Carnath. "Are you going to break him like you did your own crystal?" Toole sighed; "No I'm not, but the only way I'm staying in this fight is if I can have some means of assuring Ailes I'm safe." Carnath shook his head no, and Toole sighed pulling out of the formation to head back towards the camp. "Well here is your answer Ailes, i can't provide a means of assurance so we wait back at the village."
Toole landed back at the village, in the only place that didn't have people moving about. The whole place was a commotion of people running around from wounded to wounded person treating injuries. Toole put his amulet back on and caught Ailes in his hands. "Well I guess we put our talents to work back here then, I guess that would be helping in the fight."

Ailes sighed,"I'm sorry... I suppose we are supporting the lightning demons doing this too, but are you sure you know enough to heal these people... your jewel isn't to dark, granted it is three above mine, but how long do you think you can last on your jewel?"

Toole shrugged; "Depends on how harsh a healing I wish to deal out. Battlefield medicine probably 2-3 hours maybe, perfection healing 2 hours is pushing it, but those figures are on a full nights rest. Right now, probably one good perfection healing, and maybe 45minutes of battlefield medicine. Wait a minute, what am i thinking, assurance is but a simple spell away. Granted it will take most of what I have left, but here is how it works." Toole removed on eof his rings and a ribbon of light formed through it to become a thin silver chain. "Alright, the silver chain will only break if I get injured, my ring will ensure that if it does break it seperates, because I've had it happen that the necklace sticks to the back of the neck instead of falling off."
Toole snapped the sliver chain around her neck; "Now if something were to happen, my ring will search for is partner ring which is on me, or you can have panda give Osslet a message that you need a ride to wherever I'm at." Toole took a moment; "This is making sense right?"

Toole just hugged Ailes; "No quite, but i applude you for picking that much out of my explanation." Toole let go and took the ring hanging around her neck ont he sliver chain. "This chain will break if I am injured, now, the ring attached to it will lead you to me, and that way you can find me and bring some help. Do not go out there alone, and since you have Panda with you he can contact Carnath's crystal, it goes by the name of Osslet, and 9 chances out of 10 Roothemay will camp out with me while Carnath comes and gets you. So either way Ailes, if I get hurt, you'll know about it, and there is two ways to find me."

Toole returned seamlessly into the next pass. The storm was indeed a bad one given the ionic disturbances feeding it from the lighting demons below them. The quick turns to avoid the lighting was making even Toole have a upset stomach. Carnath shook his head, it was becoming more a hassle to avoid the lighting and keep their wings from being ripped off by the high winds. So they returned back to a clearing where they regrouped to attack with the land forces.
No memory of fighting Toole held could describe the carnage they walked past. These people were not killing their enemies, they were destroying everything about them, and with what was left you couldn't tell what they were. Toole could begin to tell which ones his family killed by the fact there was a descerable body. The horrible view of war still there, huge gashes, terrible, but after a 15 minute walk in the carnage the line was visible. They smiled and split up along the line.

Ailes almost fainted when she walked into one of the homes that was made into a temporary healing center. There was blood, wounded screams, Nurses panicked calls for assistance. She ran up and started with stopping any major bleeding, instructing other healers to heal any major artery or vein wounds, before they lost their men. Once things quieted down she went into the kitchen and started making potions. Her mind was hazed and her body numb; lacking any emotion. she was merely existing for healing others. occasionally she would look up and see a few panicked pale faces, but things changed and she mostly saw women wandering around like hollow shells. Merely going through the motions a healer does. With the night came silence. they had a few wounded come in, but the current residence finally slept. they hadn't had any death's yet, but they've had plenty of close calls. Ailes rested her head on the table with a cup of coffee rested in her limp hand. her mind was blank, except for the few words that echoed in her mind. she looked down at the ring on the necklace dangling from her neck and smiled weakly. she knew he wasn't hurt. she prayed he wasn't hurt, but would she be able to bounce back from this... she knew he was going to expect her to be one hundred percent, but she wasn't sure she would be. She laid there limply and cried, not too heavily, but as much as she could to try to release some of the emotion she had been holding back all this time. she looked up at the door and watched it slowly close. she wanted to be left alone, a private cry, for the men outside, the men on the field, and the man she loved.

The deafening clap of thunder and rattle of empty bottles and vials in their racks foretold something closer beginning. More bright flashes and the loud low splitting sound before the deep rumble shook the house timbers and the floors.
Angry voices were being shouted outside, the sound of footsteps outside the door, the sounds of people waking up from the noise began to fill the lull between the sounds thunder. Outside was undescripted choas, with darkness, only lighting lit up the scene, and it was becoming less frequent. Reason for it was that a neighboring village had come on the attack, and since lighting demons were immune to lighting attacks they were resorting to weapons or just fists in al ot of the cases.

The small number left behind was quickly overrun. The invading tribe, began to enter homes, they were dragging women out to be executed vicously. They were saving the house Alies was in for last. Of course the horrible scene was interupted as Yumiru's returning forces began a counter attack.

Ailes Opened her eyes and noticed that the coffee in her hand was now cold, and there was a ton of commotion outside. She rushed to a window to see the gruesome scene. She ran into the room where the injured were sleeping and she called for all the healers to awaken, "We have a situation outside and need to get the wounded downstairs now!" she shouted as everyone began urging soldiers to their feet and down the stairs. It took a good amount of effort for her to keep herself standing, let alone another man twice her weight, but before she knew it she was helping her fourth soldier downstairs. in no time they had everyone downstairs and returned to fold up the cots and bring them downstairs for the wounded to lay their weary heads. Ailes ran upstairs and grabbed her medicine box and rushed it downstairs. she rummaged through it and pulled out a dagger, and a healing potion, Then took off upstairs. she gathered a small group of two men and one more female, then made sure everyone made it down safely and then locked the basement door. she turned to her group, "We need to go upstairs and block off all the windows with whatever we can move in front of it; lock it if you can." They nodded and the group of four ran upstairs to execute their plans. there were only four rooms so it didn't take too long and Ailes went back down in the kitchen to begin locking up there. One of the windows shattered in the kitchen and she screamed and slammed a cabinet door in the intruder's face, before struggling to slide the cabinet in front of the window. The men from upstairs quickly came to her aid and they soon had the kitchen all locked up. She turned to them and said, "Okay, you finish up on the main floor and get downstairs as quickly as possible... we're going to have a huge job to fulfill after this little battle." He nodded and ran out of the kitchen and into the next room. Ailes followed him out and locked the kitchen door and then turned to the front door. she unsheathed her dagger and let the poison from her right ring finger drip onto the blade. after it had a good coat on it she took a deep breath. Her heart began racing and her fingers fumbled with the lock as she slowly turned it to the right and when it clicked her body shook. she backed away and grabbed her chest forcing herself to breath; reaching for the door nob she turned and yanked the door open, throwing herself onto the street with the intent to kill in her eyes.

Toole was just now entering the village, being on the backside of the returning force had its disadvantages, but the word was passed back as the line surged forward that the village was under attack. All the bad thoughts and worst possible situations began to fill his head. This got his heart racing faster then it already was, and he surged forward despite the nag of fatigue.
He began to loose count here of the dead as more would come to take their place. He only had one sword, but he was using every trick, and move known to him in how to make it the most effective killing device so he could get back to finding Ailes to make sure she was okay. He didn't have no silver chain or ring to tell him she was okay or hurt, and then the really bad thoughts started to come into play. What would happen if he found her dead, how would he explain to Ive the body he would carry back to Rodasia, or worse yet Akuma who would be right on his heels wondering why her sister showed up at the abyss.

Toole thought about this as the rest of his body ran on auto pilot. The blade cutting the flesh of his enemies, but of all the horrible thoughts Toole was thinking about at the moment one began to take over the others. The thought of finding his beloved dead, and as he came around a burning house his whole body stiffened. Everything stopped, he didn't hear anything, smell anything, he was numb all over, and he couldn't speak a word.

Toole was oblivious to the outside world, and his world came tumbling down. The woman he loved so dearly was laying on the ground, the beautiful long blonde hair was stained with blood and dirt, and without conscious command he knelt down and picked the body up to hold onto.

The tears that ran down, washed the soot, dirt, and blood down his face in little lines. Then as his brain slowly came back to thought a coldness developed in his stomach. It was spreading through his body, he gently laid her down and sent his sword away. There would be no mercy, no mercy at all, no surrender, but only death at this point. He was self appointed judgment, and right now they all deserved to burn.

His amulet came off and, he wasted no time carrying out his decision on his enemies. The unsuspecting group caem around the burning building to attack, and they withered in excruitaiting screams of pain as the acidic fire burned their flesh and corroded their bones.

Ailes was a few houses down from where Toole was, and she saw him pick up another woman who looked kind of like her. Her face paled as she saw the tears streaming down his face. she ran toward him as he set the limp body down and she screamed his name as he whipped off his amulet, but none of it sank in. Flames exploded in the streets, and she dove behind a sign in the yard of a shop owner. she peeked over the sign and saw men screaming and melting before her eyes, and as horrifying as it was to her she could only think of one thing; one person, Toole. She ran into an empty ally and found a latter. she laid it against the building and scurried up it only to fall back down, due to unstable steps. she growled and picked herself up off the ground and began stacking things up against the latter to make up for the broken steps, and managed to make it up on the slick mossy roof of the shop. Toole blew flames into the ally of the unsuspecting people and once he finished she jumped over a roof and right as she stood to call his name she slipped down the roof and clung to the edge of the building. After she regained her grasp she slowly pulled herself up; her heart pounding in her throat. once back on the roof she noticed the building was now on fire due to his attack on the group of men. she curled into a ball and shivered, and after a moment of convincing herself to stand she screamed for him again praying something would get through.
