Well, he knew which way to aim at least, and Roar did the rest, the howl erupting forth towards the massive creature. In his heart, Jerry was glad he couldn't see what he was doing. The noises the creature had made were.... troubling to say the least. He almost pitied it. And then he remembered what he was here to do, and why. He braced himself to listen intently to see if he hit or not.  HP: 36
Status: Effected by Eris's Fear attack for next two rounds! Hell's bells.

With the momentary hunter and weapon dispute in order, Leon went back to the point of the whole trip, shoving his weapon into Red's currently very ugly mug.
He'd have to admit that he missed her face before the transformation, even if she was a vicious animal underneath that smooth face.

Xiu stared up in shock at the giant beast, her eyes never leaving it even as she tried to stabilize herself from the shockwave. Red was still in there. She was still in there, but it sounded as if she intended on staying behind to die while encouraging all of the students to flee.
Fleeing hadn't seemed like too bad of an idea when the hunters had first shown up, but now that they knew Red was alive and that her mind was still present in that giant creature? Abandoning her and leaving her to the hunters was completely out of the question. "Professor Red, please hang in there!" She cupped the hand of her good arm around her mouth, joining in with her peers, "We'll get through this, and then...and then we'll all go home to Halloween! A-all of us!"
Noticing familiar figures from the corner of her eye, Xiu turned to see both Amrita and Mot headed over towards Caelius. Were they...? They were. Her expression was a bit guilty as she turned to look at Levi, West, and Hel (who she realized had just toppled over Levi). Leaning down, she tried her best to help right the ghouls up into a sitting position. It...didn't really work that well, though.
She glanced towards Caelius, back to her friends, and then back to her target. "I...I'll be right back, okay?"

As Xiu head over with the intention of joining Amrita and Mot and attacking, she realized that Amrita had been blocked off by another Hunter. Uh oh! Fortunately, while the hunter was busy trying to protect the man from the vetala's attack, Xiu managed to slip around and...
...And stomp on Caelius' foot. It wasn't very effective.Quote: Target: Caelius

(Shockwave effect for Eris~ DAMN U DICE) She was out-classed. So out classed. War's Heir might have thought herself to be hot stuff, but as their little show of bravado wore on, it was quickly becoming apparent that Caelius had her number.
Eris didn't seem surprised as the hunter avoided the cascade of fire she had spat at him, watching through narrowed, seething eyes as he dodged so elegantly. There was a reason she called him Master-Hunter -- you did not survive that occupation for so long without a great deal of experience and skill. Although every muscle in her body tensed, she didn't move to retreat as he suddenly appeared almost flush against her, close enough for his breath to fan against her ear as he murmured his last dig. For a second, her eyebrows furrowed, staring over his shoulder at nothing in particular with eyes of distressed confusion -- it was clear they hadn't. By the time she had recovered, lashing out with one hand to try to grab the front of his coat, he had already vanished, well out of reach.
"You lie."
Red had made an appearance again, urging the students to run, but the horseman wasn't paying attention to that. Caelius had turned his attention from her, back on the monstrous creature that held Red's consciousness for the time, but it seemed his last quip had finally met its mark. Staring at him in a mixture of anger and distress, Eris had spread her wings wide as if to launch herself at him in a fit of rage or insanity or perhaps just sheer pride, hell-bent to rip him limb from limb. It was only the shockwave that stopped her at all, the blast swatting her from the air like a moth to send her skidding backward across the gravel on her side. But where she might have gotten up without a moment's hesitation earlier in the battle, War's movements were sluggish now, moving to lift her upper body with one forearm braced on the ground. As Circe's true form appeared, only to dissipate completely, she couldn't help but laugh low in the back of her throat, eyes flicking to the other hunters nearby before resettling on Caelius.

The monster had landed. Already Tika's fellow hunters were fast at work, or trying to be fast at work on attacking this double agent creature. Tikaanis was no execption.
The teen was already starting her own approach from behind. The teen had to stop for a brief moment though. Tikaanis could have sworn the creature had returned to a brilliant white.
She blinked and continued one.

Atti was still clutched firmly in her hands but Tika her self needed to lay there for a while. The teen breathed in and out and closed her eyes. She really should have thought this through. This wasn't some dumb beast. These things were capable of much more. For now, Tika laid in the dirt trying to gather just how she'd screwed up. You should be more careful next time.

The monster abomination thing had finally landed. Ennéa looked up at Jordan and squeezed his arm before stepping away. She took a deep breath and quickly wiped her sweaty hands against her legs before readying her axe. Baraz flapped his wings and screamed an ear-splitting SCREECH in his excitement.
Ennéa winced. "Geez, Baraz!" She scolded him, even if he wasn't audible to anyone aside from her, he was still LOUD. Ennéa was so utterly distracted by her weapon that she didn't really notice what had happened to Caelius aside from him seeing him standing there in front the giant monster. Ennéa gave a mental shrug. The ways of her superiors were beyond her understanding and knowing Caelius he probably just wanted to coolly watch the trainees fight for a while.
Ennéa looked beyond the monster and gave a squawk of surprise. "Maddie!!" She cried at the sight of her friend actually climbing on the creature and attacking its head. Without a thought, Ennéa charged at the creature's head, frantic to help Maddie in some way.

Charging the abomination directly head-on had been a reckless idea. The creature's head lashed up and snapped at her. Ennéa yelped and twisted to dodge but she wasn't fast enough. Sharp teeth slashed her leg and tore several deep gouges.
Baraz screeched, utterly in a frenzy. I'LL KILL IT!!! I'LL KILL IT!! KILL IT!!!! His single eye was glowing so blue in Ennéa's mind that it seemed to burn like a flame.

Everything was chaos. Davey had been late. Again. The Hunters were split up, there were monsters everywhere though none so attention-grabbing as the giant wolf-creature, oh, and Caelius may have gone insane - and lost his weapon to boot. Just when Davey had thought this day couldn't get any worse.
Bix's voice rose above the noise of battle. "C'mon Hunters! LET'S HUNT!"
"Can't disagree with that idea," he said, lips twitching. In his head, Azrael agreed.
Davey made a beeline for the giant monster. He tried to angle himself in the direction Bix's voice had come from. Even if the smaller monsters were also attacking the giant wolf, Davey didn't for one moment think that made them allies. The moment the big one was down, it was time for the smaller ones. (Besides, half of them seemed to be gunning for Caelius, and Davey didn't want to be known as a member of a group that let their CO get KOed. What would Dr H say, for starters? Well, apart from insults aimed at Caelius.)

Somehow, Davey ended up approaching Red from behind. It was a good tactical position... though made more dangerous by the giant, lashing tail. Not something Davey had needed to worry about during ambushes in the human world. This was be interesting.
He tried to time it, knowing all the while that this wasn't some mechanical simulation, this was a living monster and could change the pace or direction of its tail at will.
'Screw it, Davey decided. It was now or never, and he wasn't one to back away from a challenge.
Like a fool, Davey rushed in.
... And had the tail slam into him. Davey was tossed to one side like a doll. He lay where he fell, panting for air denied him by both a tail to the gut and a hard slam to the ground. Azrael had some choice words for him, but thankfully Davey could barely make anything out over the rushing in his ears.
"That sucked," he rasped, his head dropping to the ground as he lay on his back.
~You suck,~ Azrael snarled, sulking in his head.

Gale latched onto Bix's arm, forcing the other to hold still, but there was a horrible silence as his eye cut to the side, spotting Caelius.
His weapon was gone.
A dread like lead weight dropped into the pit of Gale's stomach.

Bix's shout of anger filled his ears.

He was attacking from the back. Dodging the creature's enormous tail as it swept dangerously over the field, Gale grabbed his rifle and ran, as fast as he could, away from Bix and towards the professor.

She was coming. Sammy could only stare as Red dropped from the air. Her first instinct was to run, but something was different. She landed with an earth shaking thud but she didn't land on them, rather above them stretching wide to keep the cluster of students below safe from her landing, was she really still in there? Suddenly she was speaking not to everyone, but towards the small group, towards students something in her gut twisted again, it was the same hope Shehk had been looking for the whole time, but what she got was something simple and beautiful.
An order.
Find it. Answers. Home. GO!
Without warning the earth shook as the cursed Hunter leader struck the ground again. Though with a solid stomp from her own foot Sammy held her ground, FEAR still coursing strong through her body after the blast of light filled the battlefield. She watched as the hunter, Caelius cried out at a spirit, his weapon? Circe. The two names locked into her head, the hunter, and the Halloween citizen who made his weapon. Suddenly Amrita and Mot where gone running towards the unarmed hunter.
She turned to Shehk now, "Shehk, you were right... something did remain. Just enough of Red." She looked up at the now fire spewing beast, its cry ringing of of death looming over it's head. "We have what we need. We have direction. We need to get out of here, find out what she was talking about, about all of this." Her mind raced for a moment, names ticking by; Riley, Barth, Maladore, all the students here, but it would be for another time. For now, get home, find it, answers.
And a dead Hunter would be the first step.
"I'm going after Amrita, we finish the hunter leader now, and escape. Those who can't fight stay here under Red, if she grows weaker then flee, hopefully for now she'll keep hunters at ba-" She paused as she shouted her final challenge, a mix of voices twisted together, "At bay, we need to get out, if you get near a hunter take there pendant if it can get us to the human world, and back to ours it the past it can do it again."
With that she was off running out from under Red, where others ran towards her snapping jaws Sammy ran away and right towards Caelius. Her left fist flaring with FEAR as she ran.
"I heard that. Listen here, snot. If you know what's best for you, you'd better listen to orders. Your superiors know more than you do. And when the time comes to take orders, you'd better know who to take orders from."
The first step was getting out.
