Rellick nuzzles Areli, blinking in surprise. He was a? Grandfather? Turning his eyes to Nitarin, he noted it took a moment for it to sink in. "Nitarin?"
Insiri laughed softly and gave her son a nuzzle. "Then go back to sleeping, great Prince. I won't disturb you again."
Nitarin blinked again, and then sped off, running to his mate's side. Three tiny bodies were curled against the sea blue of Insiri's pelt, and he thought his heart would burst. "Our children."
Insiri smiled, leaning her head against his chest as he sat and licked her cheek. "Yes.. Our children."
Rellick smiled. "Why thank you Jax."
He eyed the young lad, who was now a strapping adult. "You're all grown up, you make me feel like an old man."

Vasire grinned at his mother. "But I'm awake now!" He whined half-heartedly before rolling his eyes over to his father. Without saying a word, he laid his head back on his sister and watched, more because he was unsure of what to say then any other reason. He let his lip curl back, showing his white teeth in something that resembled a smile. Vas, unknowingly, had let his tail curl around Cavalia. He watched his father with an eloquent look, as though he knew something that Nintarin didn't.

Areli nuzzled Jax lightly. "You look great..." she said, before turning to chuckle at Rellick. "Only feel old... You aren't though." she said, a slight grin on her muzzle as she turned to nose the king slightly.

Jax smiled. "Why, sir, you could easily be half my age!" He exclaimed. But despite his maturity in size, the brown lion could never quite seem to lose his inner cub, and he pulled a face as Areli nuzzled the scarlet lion. "More mushy stuff?" He joked, starting to turn to leave the too alone. Then he paused. "Oh, Rellick? D'you..." He looked somewhat sheepish, although why, he had no idea. "D'you reckon I could be a leader? I mean, I'd love to be the pride's lead warrior, but... well, maybe you should think about it." He finished, finding his words jumbled and inwardly berating himself for messing up in the presence of the gray brother whom he looked down on. He wanted to strike out at Cade in that moment of frustration, but he knew better than to act on his unresolved childhood anger. His growth had lessened his hatred for his past none, but it had brought to him wisdom and strength that he had only wished to have as a cub.

Synda yawned slowly as she awoke. Her ears flicked gently as she heard talk of cubs. Absently, she trotted over to Rellick and the rest of the group, her tail waving behind her. She then noticed Jax and how he had grown. She smiled at him, then the rest of her pride warmly. "Synda awake. What did Synda miss?"
The magenta lion slowly padded into the den, his gray mane hanging low against his face and body. He had been gone away a while...he didn't mean to. He was just scouting his new home. Flicking his tail gently, Jager noticed the scarlet king and came forward, chuffing a hello. "King Rellick," He stated and gave a small bow. "I, again, thank you for giving me home in your lands. Ask me what you will, and I will do it." He then lifted his head slowly, resting beside the tan female with the green flakes and feathers.

In a flash, all of Jax's sheepishness had vanished and his expression slid smoothly into an easy grin. Perhaps he had been born with a charm, he didn't know. He only realized how easy it was to turn it on. He inclined his head to her in a half bow. "I see you've grown too, miz Synda." He said easily.

Flicking her hears, she stared over at Jax, her maw in a smile. "Yes, Synda has. Jax looks quite handsome, if Synda might add." Her tail flicks gently as she gave him a small smile. "How has Jax been?" She questioned. "Has the pride been well?" She also asked. "Synda had gone off for a while." She looked down slightly, wondering if she had done wrong again.
Jager noticed the tan and the male talking to her. His tail waved gently as he looked over at the youth. "You...I presume you are Jax. You are a member of this pride, correct? Tell me, what must one do to become a Warrior? I heard you talk to King Rellick about becoming the lead one..." His tone was plain, his eyes staring over at the other. Jager really wished to be a warrior...though it might be hard of him to take orders from someone that was younger...

Jax grinned. "Any handsomeness of mine can hardly match lady Synda's beauty." He nodded to her question. "It has been well... Extremely well, I'm supposing, from the sudden influx of lions." He added with a chuckle. He himself had missed out on a lot in his going to meet Revyn.
Jax's gaze turned to the ruby-eyed lion as he was address, his head inclining to confirm the other's words. "I am." He said, his voice tinted with pride. He had grown to love the pride, and although he had no plans to leave, he knew the thought would always be at the back of his mind. He shrugged as the lion's question. He didn't quite know. "I'm not too sure..." He said, a hint of hesitancy entering his deep voice. "I only just got to thinking I'd like to defend the pride."

Synda couldn't help but give off a gentle blush. "Thank you, Jax. So Jax missed as well? Synda went off to see a friend..." She didn't really want to think about the cloud male now. Everytime she did, different emotions ran through her. She sighed gently, then put on one of her gentle smiles.
He quietly nodded. "Hmm..I see. I wish to defend my new home as well." Jager yawned gently then looked over at his new king, waiting for him to get done before he got on with his business. The male's tail flicked gently, his gray mane hiding his eyes.

"More or less," Jax nodded, his gaze flickering to all the new lions. "I don't know most of the newer lions..." His gaze followed the other lion's to rest on the scarlet King. Yes, most lions wanted to be warriors, he concluded silently to himself. But then again, he was one of them.

Jager nodded. Suddenly, an impulse seized him. "Excuse me..." He said cooly rising up. "Tell the King I have family affairs to take care of..." He bowed to his new pride mates and quickly trotted away from the den. He needed to go home...maybe his mother had come back...maybe he could finally meet the father he never knew...and give the lion a piece of his mind...or maybe all of it. Jager swallowed a snarl and began running all out.

"Consider it done," Jax replied, frowning slightly to himself at the other's sudden exit. But he dwelled little on it. He knew that expression that he wore. He was all too familiar with it. It was the way he looked whenever he saw Cade. The thought of cade brought a shadow flitting briefly across his features, before it left and he was smiling again.

Synda noticed her friend's sudden change. Her tail twitched gently as she gazed at Jax. "Something bothering Jax?" She asked quietly, her eyes staring at his as if to bore through him. The lioness didn't dwell on family problems...she really didn't want to think about her biological family. A snarl started to build up in her throat. One day..she would venture into the outlands and try to find her mother...

"Oh, I- nothing," Jax shook his head dismissively, shoving aside any thought of Cade even farther. They all had their own problems, and none of the lions here needed to know, if they did not already, about his past. He had been blocking it out for so long. He didn't need it to resurface on him all of a sudden, although it already had - in the form of Cade.

Rellick watched Jager dissappear with a pinning of his ears, and shook his head. Turning his mind back to Jax, he grinned. "If you'd like to be a leader, I suppose you could be lead warrior.. I haven't been asked by anyone else.. And if others come along who are more experienced, perhaps you can work together..."
Watching all the activity, Jadera had to smile. At Jager's departure, she felt her heart twinge, and she pinned her ears against showing too much emotion. 'Where are you going?' She wondered.
Listening to her father and Jax talk, Naharia laughed softly. That was her daddy.. Work together, help each other out... Never thinking ill of anyone for any reason. Glancing around the rather crowded den, she thought she would go for a walk. Nosing Synda, she gave the lioness a smile. "I'm going wandering Synda, see you and everyone else later, right?"
Giving a gentle purr, Insiri nosed Vasire. "Try my dear one, try and go to sleep.. You'll need your strength."
Turning her eyes to her mate, she gave him a soft smile. "My Love?"
Tearing his eyes away from his new family, Nitarin smiled at his mate and licked her cheek. "They're beautiful, My Beloved."
He glanced back toward the Den. "I think I shall go alert the King.. Rest here, and rest well.. I won't be long."
Purring at his parting nuzzle, Insiri curled around her children and gave a soft sigh of content. It wouldn't be hard for her to drift off to sleep, she knew she was safe in Scarlet Shadows...
