There's going to be a piece made when the Provincial Reps finally get chosen.

Yeah, I pretty much miss everything important.

I added you to MSN via Facebook, sooooo next time you're online, and there are bunch of us online, we can just start another chat or something. o .o

It's not so much memos and announcements as it is emergency marketing meetings.

I was just thinking that a few of us regulars could perhaps go in on a piece. Whomever might want to, that is. Nothing obligatory. We'd have to scout for a suitable artist/price.

Not as a promotional thing, though we could snazzy it up with a direct guild link.

DVG! You have a boyfriend? Heheh, he just requested to join. Lucky him, he mentioned you, or I wouldn't have accepted him!

Or, maybe I would have, but still.

Cool. Now we all get to meet him. Bwahaha... twisted

Then get on with it! :0

House is ready to have a baby, and Cuddy's going to take him there. Chase and Cameron are falling in love. This is exactly how it should be.

Stories are never as good when things are exactly as they are supposed to be.

Are you kidding me? Of course they are. It just needs to be spiced up with drama. Which it will, of course.

But that was really the sweetest scene ever, when House was touching the baby's hand. And he finally decided to start calling it a baby. ^.^

When things turn out the way they 'should' it seems like a cop out to me. As though the author was taking the easy way out. The more interesting, and often devastatingly powerful, conclusions are the ones that you wish didn't happen. Case in point: One of my favourite books, Odd Thomas, features a character who can see dead people. But not like the kid from the 6th sense. It's kind of funny throughout, kind of scary at times, if you get scared by novels (I don't) and also pretty heartwarming. I say heartwarming because the main character has this great relationship with his girlfriend. Both of them have really well developed personalities, and you feel like you know them when you read the book.
At the risk of ruining the book for anyone who's reading it or might read it, I'll tell you the ending because it's relevant to my point.

If you don't want to know what happens, don't read any further.

Anyway, at the end there is a shooting at the local mall. The main character manages to stop it from becoming a massacre, but there are still a few casualties. Could have been hundreds though, so he's kind of a hero. There's all kinds of media attention, and everything, and to avoid that he and his girlfriend hole themselves up in their apartment for about a week. Everythings great. It has all the makings of a wonderfully happy ending.
But then you find out that in fact his girlfriend was shot and killed at the mall, but he didn't know this because he has been seeing her ghost and thinking it was actually her. Of course it's a lot sadder than I can relate so quickly.
Point is, I remember that ending perfectly. I remember exactly how it made me feel when I read it, and that was a few years ago now.
Endings that are just plain old happy ones...I don't remember those. They don't mean as much to me, for the most part.

Of course there's always exceptions.

Sounds good.

Do you watch House though?

And I know what you mean about the endings. The type of books I read are like, "chick flips", if you will. Gorgeous, intelligent, successful man falls in love with crazy female main character and they live happily ever after. I've read them all. They're all the same. They all muddle into one.

Except for Sophie Kinsella's books. She's something different.

Yes, yes I do. I told him to join, LOL, or else he wouldn't have. He put the purple monkey dishwasher s**t in there, why wouldn't you have accepted him? xp

Oh, yeah, are we going to do away with the whole purple monkey thing, if we're going to start accepting anyone? o___o;
And what's this group artwork thing? I'm confused...

Agh. I have this stupid social-studies debate-project-discussion-research-biography-landownership thing due tomorrow. It's like a big debate about Canadian land ownership between Canada/Metis/Natives, except we're all assigned a character (a real historical figure), and we have to debate in character. And it's worth twice as much as a regular test... plus, I've never debated before, I suck at public speaking, my character sucks, and I haven't dressed up since like grade 3. I mean, if your character inwardly hates someone, but outwardly likes them, how are you supposed to roleplay that? Geez. So yes, in otherwords... other... words... how does it go again? Anyway, I'm basically screwed for tomorrow. Yesh.
