The voice began mechanically .....as from the ceiling two screens would be lowered. Even as something shimmer into reality to the left of him and to the right. Though the thing that materialized to the right of him remain in the shadows.
"Before we begin, you need to have your pokemon drink that potion and then step on that line in the floor." "Before a battle can start, a pokemon's must step up for their trainer."
"On the screen above your head, the stats of your pokemon and the one you will be fighting will be put on display for the sake of learning."
The voice told him.

His opponent would step forward then ....as his tail flicks behind him. That orange tip on a fur of white ...or was it more red. It was hard to tell as the Zangoose flicks once ear.
"Have your pokemon drink the potion please."
The voice would declares again. The Zangoose looked at his opponent quite menacingly.
"Else the match will start without it."
The voice warned.

Enters with his new found Pokemon in hand. Studying the ambiance he
raises a brow at the stains of blood and hops onto the scene. He was not nervous as he had nothing to lose. No pride, no doubt, no place to go. Knowing that he will accept any outcome that faces him, he says gallantly to himself aloud and to those that may listen, "Interesting, how shall I begin?"

"The fastest pokemon attacks first, so I would suggest you tell your Tepig to defend."
The voice would say the moment that the drink was consume. The Zangoose had had a hard time holding back even as it's tail twitches, but the moment that the drink was consume. There was no more reason for it to hold back as the pokemon would streak forward with it's claws out and ready to rip into his opponent ...as he used scratched.
((Okay, this guild uses the 1 dice 20 rolls to determine everything ...for the most part. Anyway, it's used to determine whether or not an attack hits or not. If an attack roll ...is higher than a defensive one then the attack hit. Also, there is two main phases of battle that continues until the end ...attack and defensive phase. They go in turns, so if my pokemon is attacking this turn ....then yours is defending. And after my pokemon attacks it automatically goes to the defensive phase while yours attacks.

"Welcome to the Battle Arena. Here you will be taking the final test for your admittance into the academy on your chosen Team. So, I must ask you ...how do you wish to battle with the tutorial or without."
Completely monotone without any sign of emotion in that voice.

(I advise that you should edit your post Lunarsun, you had said spheal, my pokemon, instead of the gentleman that came in before me and his tepig whom is versing the zangoose: "tell your spheal to defend", is the only part I refer to. Unless I am up against the zangoose as well? ...a..double battle?)

(Okay, continuing)
He jumps a little bit when he heard the unknown voice spoke to him. Despite the monotone, he chuckles at the thought of giving the me voice some character; perhaps a character of an elderly person. He covets the pokeball in his right pocket gently without breaking consentration, his face stoic.
"I would like a tutorial during battle", and then adds:"thank you" He breaths in deeply with great care on the volume or air that he consumes for a moment or two and then ex hails slowly.

The disembodied voice would declares even as the potion would appear in a shimmering of light. It would land at his feet ...and two screens would appear over their heads.
The two were currently blank.
"All battles begin once both ...participates had taken the field. Above your head is the screens which should show your pokemon's stats above."
((So, to start a battle you must first post up your pokemon's stats. Also, in the case of a being out on the field ...or even in the city ...anytime you see a pokemon's stats that means it is going to fight you and you don't have the option of avoid it. Before then, you can choose to avoid the battle.))

He stops and thinks to himself for a moment and not a moment further as he juggles the pokeball in his pocket. "Very well" he takes the pokeball out of his pocket, enlarges it and gently tosses it out to the field with a subtle summoning procedure, "Enter, Spheal". A sharp light bursts out a pokemon from its home, and reveals it to be a young Shpeal as his first words that cry a "spheal pheal" since his days in his pokeball first see worlds light once again. He wastes no time to explain, he chuckles "good evening. I believe this is the first time we've met." he says with a bow. Spheal turns around to see a dark haired boy with goggles on his head over a tuque, "Huh? Oh, uhh, yea" he replies now grasping the situation, and bows back. The boy points, "We sir, have a battle"The Spheal glares at the pokeball in the boys hand hand "And your supposed to be my trainer eh?" he claps his fins doubtingly at the young boy. "Fine" he barks at the young dark haired boy and turn to see the flask right in front of his face. He raises a brow at the young Spheals' taunts, and ignores them, and then says, "I believe your supposed to drink that Spheal, then we can start our battle, hopefully it helps".He gestures at the potion, and makes a drinking gesture just after. Spheal turns and nods to the boy, and gulps down the potion to the last drop, and tosses it aside. The young man nods and stares up at the blank screens above thinking, "a monitored battle? And not a soul in sight. I wonder who will be watching?" He steps forward, "next?"Spheal

((Just to note ...you can't actually talk to your pokemon in plain english, and they don't understand a word you say))
The buzzing of wings would announce the arrival ....of the bug. Her eyes were locked on the spheal as she hovers for a moment stopped her wings and losing her attitude before doing it again.
The voice would chime in again.
"Fastest pokemon strikes first, so watch yourself. According to the board that is the combee, and she will not be merciful."
The voice would tell him even as the attack came forth.
"In a battle, like these, there are two identifiable stages. Attack and defense, when your pokemon is slower than it's attacker ...it should automatically go to the defensive phase. Now whether or not the defense is successful or not, by using an attack ....a pokemon shifts to the defense phase. Its a matter of logic there ..nothing can attack forever with the same intensity.
Thus, the pokemon in battle will attack and then defend for the attack that it's expecting from it's opponent.
Finally, all pokemon moves are attacks."
The voice would finish as the Combee sent out a gust of wind from her wings. The spiraling twister grew bigger and bigger as it got closer and closer to the spheal.
((An attack hits only if the dice roll is higher than the defensive rolls. So both pokemon roll the dice in this case, because, this guild uses the 1 dice 20 sided system. Pretty much everything can or has the ability to be decided by the dice rolls))

( i knew that >.<, although i guess i didnt type it properly it was actually meant to be a understanding of gestures. I edited though) The young boy stands without expression as the access wind emitting from the combee gusts past him, reverberating through his entire body. He peers from their combatant to his Spheal. His Spheal, with his head low, continues to be pushed back, but sliding along the ground from the high winds.

(Nope it's good, and here we tend to use other markers to announce ...pokemon speech that isn't understood by the human. Things like // or ( )or~~ can be used just not " ".
Figuring out damage, to figure out damage you both the dice roll and either the attack - defense, or the sp.attack - sp. defense depending on the attack. Gust is sp. attack...so it goes
(16 - 11 [the differences in the dice rolls or accuracy rolls] = 5
(5 - 7 [differences in my combee's sp. attack and your spheal sp. defense] = -2]
Add the two together to get 3, which is the damage to your pokemon)
The attack would hit ...as the combee was pushed backwards. Her wings fluttering hard as the aftereffect of those winds hitting was a bit violent as the Spheal would be thrown to the side and the gust itself would break apart leaving the winds to actually send the user fluttering a little higher in her own defense.
