Luka crossed her arms. "Look I'm all for striking fear in the hearts of others, but this situation is damn scary enough. Save the interrogations for people who don't actually want to help."

Jeff held a growl from escaping his throat. "I meant what do we do now." He spoke low and soft. His eyes narrowed. "Plan. Do you have a plan?"

Luka took a few steps closer to Jeff. "No I don't have a goddamn plan. What I have is a vampire who's suddenly useless because the other side knows how to deal with him, his little meal ticket, a good friend with a hero complex, my love struck cousin, her naive boy toy, my one track minded brother, several wolf packs to juggle, one of them apparently working with vampires and doing experiments on my people, and a whole town full of civilians that I'm no longer sure need to be kept out of the crossfire. Oh, and of course there's my one intelligent resource who is too busy beating answers out of young boys to just sit down and help get this whole mess worked out!"

Jeff let out a hissing breath. Part of him wanted to throw Luka down right there and force her to be submissive, but the human more sane part of him told him otherwise. But it was only a small portion of his mind. Jeff knew that unless someone did something he was going to snap. He managed to find his voice but couldn't break eye contact.
"Luka....please...."

A tear started to form in Luka's eye. "I'm sorry Jeff. Its just...I've dealt with a lot of s**t. I'm technically not even allowed to tell that I dealt with s**t I'm not allowed to tell you about. But this...I don't know how to handle this. I don't know enough about what's going on. I need information and I don't have ways to get it." The tear escaped.

Jeff's eye twitched. She was showing signs of weakness, it would be the perfect time to take her down. Jeff halted his thoughts right there. He wasn't taking anyone down let alone his soon to be sister in law. Even if she was looking into his eyes and trying to assert dominance over him. He had to stop his mind from going down that path. He wasn't enjoying being in alpha mode anymore. He caught himself trying to bear his teeth.
"Luka...no..."

"No...stop...looking at me....I'm having....trouble..." The words felt thick and awkward on his tongue. If she didn't get away from him soon, Jeff was going to do something stupid.

Jeff could only nod slightly. He could feel fuel bubbling up in his chest.

"One, two...three." Luka closed her eyes and turned her head slightly to the left, if Jeff had not done it too it meant submission for her. She really hoped that she wouldn't have challenge him, but there was no way she was remaining submissive. She sighed as she opened her eyes.

Jeff still had his eyes closed and was looking to his left. He was too afraid to open his eyes. He wasn't sure what the wolf inside him would make him do if he opened his eyes again. Part of him wanted to whimper.

Luka looked at Jeff for a moment before looking over at Yakov. She nodded her head in Jeff's direction.
Yakov somehow managed to move. He put his hand on Jeff's arm. "Jeff?"

Jeff's eyes snapped open and he looked down at Yakov. Jeff still had the need to exert his dominance but at least he wasn't going to ripping Lukas throat out. He didn't have time to blink before his hands were crushing Yakovs arms and Jeff was kissing harder than he had the night previous.
