"... Yup. This year is going by smoothly." Remus close dhisbook, and slowly stood to a standing position. "Well, mate, considering you've just been shot down, let's take the map and make a dash for Hogsmeade, eh?" Well, it was one way to get away from things, wasn't it? "Besides, girls are nothing but trouble!" Remus said jokingly.

(( ... All I managed to scrape together. Sorry guys, I 'm typing a postition paper on Langston Hughes, more exciting roleplay is to be expected tomorrow. ;o; ))

James was suddenly hot, flustered, embarrassed, and angry. "Why is it that we solve all of our problems by running off to Hogsmeade and most times anding up piss drunk at the Hog's Head? I don't really want to do that today, it's not a very good time for me, thanks very much. I've just been shot down for what, the seven-thousandth time? Well either way, I'm sick of it, and I don't know how much mroe I can take. I have to find a real girl who likes me for me, and doesn't run away when I tell her how I feel." He eyed Sunrise, who blushed profusely.

"I'm gonna go this way," she said hurriedly, ,shielding herself from james's vision by hiding behind Remus and Sirius. She was not about to be used to make Lily jealous!

James saw Franki approaching, and knew this was his chance. Franki was cute, right? She had that sprightly look about her, and yet wouldn't take crap from anyone, but she also cared. That was a pretty good feature in a girl. And she did dress pretty cool. Nah, Franki was quite the piece of work. Grinning innocently, he ran to Franki's end of the hall. He could tell that boys didn't usually pay much attention to Franki romantically, so it would be good for her too.

"Hey Frank, wanna sneak to Hogsmeade with me? I've got this neat Invisibiliity Cloak so teachers can't catch us,"' he offered, ruffling his hair in a way he knew girls could never resist. He once even saw Lily--no, we aren't thinking about her anymore James, James thought to himself with a coy smile. Lily was so old news already. Franki was his number one now. She had to be, for the sake of his sanity.

James grinned widely. "Excellent. Come on Franki, my cloak's upstairs. Seeya Moony, Padfoot, Sunrise." He put a hand on Franki's upper back and walked her up to his dorm. So far so good, he hadn't thought of Lily in the whole thirty seconds it took to...oh damnit.

Sunrise stared after James in shock. "I think the poor chap's gone bonkers."

First off, Remus never said anything about the Hoghead. He was actually thinking of Honeydukes, and a butterbeer. Besides, James acted as if though it was the end of the world- Remus knew that people had worse problems than a girl rejecting him. Quite personally, actually. Then, he was suddenly gone. With Franki. "Bloody hell!?" he turned to Sirius and exclaimed, "What are we, boogie flavored Bertie Botts Beans?!" Remus tried to be nice to JAmes, and this was how he was repayed. Oh well. He really couldn't get all that mad- he shouldn't even have any friends. He groaned and let out a rather large sigh, to calm down a bit.

"So, where are we headed? Well, I know Hogsmeade, but where in Hogsmeade?" Franki asked, giggling at her own stupid question. She looked up at him. That was really quick comeback... and why did he ask me out? Franki tried her hardest to hide her confusion, smiling kindly at James.

"Well, I was thinking...er...Three Broomsticks?" James offered. "But first I shall treat you to some lovely candy at Honeydukes, m'lady." He opened the trapdoor to the candy shop and stowed the cloak in his pocket. "Take your pick, my treat."

James smiled back, enjoyng Franki's company even though he was sure he'd like Lily's more. He got a few delux frogs filled with puddings and frewhiskey, slipped the owner a few extra galleons to persuade him to let a student buy the whiskey ones (while Franki wasn't looking of course), and then bought Franki's as well. "Now, how about the Three Broomsticks? I've got some nice connections with the owner's daughter, Ruby Rosmerta." He offered Franki his arm with a goofy smile.

"Well, I think I'm going to go for a walk or something," Sunrise said vacantly, smiling shyly at Remus and Sirius before going down the stairs. She was a the top of another staircase when it started to move on her. She almost fell backwards off of it, clinging to the railing with one foot dangling dangerously. She let out a squeak of terror when she looked down and saw seven stories below her, people small as ants walking in the Entrance Hall.
