Kala Kirya What I keep seeing with the Shakespeare theme, as strange as it sounds, is having each play set in a different sort of "period". Of course, we would have the lovely classic Shakespearean (or however you spell that... razz ) setting for one, for the real fans out there. Then we could have on in, oh, a steampunk setting... modern day... futuristic? Old west... New Orleans voodou? (HEEHEE!) Or, if different time periods/settings wouldn't work, then it might be interesting to adapt them to different styles of literature. The key word here is "adapt". Because, that way, we can use the same general plotline, but work it out in new and different ways so that people don't really know what to expect. Thoughts? GIANT RAINBOW FERTILITY SNAKE! That is all. XD lol <3

Princess Angelishia sailor sunburst well, what i meant is like a mythological dragon theme with just a smattering of eragon. Hmm. That could be really cool. But what were you thinking for the different rooms? ♥
well, the different dragon types. there are different dragon elements. fire, water, earth, air, lighting, ice, shadow, light, etc. but where eragon comes in is that theres a knight or a female rider being partnered with a dragon, and the 2 lead that room. what i'm thinking for main host/ main co-host, is like theres a dragon queen/king and his/her rider/knight

Kala Kirya No no, I completely understand! I personally find it a fascinating thought, but I know it's not everybody's cup of tea. ^_^ That's why I asked for feedback in the first place. One of the reasons I even brought it up is that I feel like that would make it a little more accessible to the part of the world that really doesn't like Shakespeare all that much. *shrug* It might be interesting to do A Midsummer Night's Dream theme... and play with the different connotations of that. Sweet dreams, nightmares... the actual characters from the play moving around. In general, what do you think of that? (Someone may have mentioned this before, I've just realized...) I love that one! As for the accessibility, I would see just kind of leaving it in the setting Shakespeare intended, but having the characters speak modern day English so that the users could understand what was going on easily. Especially since we won't be using the whole play word for word, because we wouldn't just want to type out the play, we'd want to make it our own, and something user interactable.
But yeah, Midsummer would be SO much fun to play with! ♥

I know they did Elements already as a theme... but the dragons might make it different enough to be it's own unique thing. ♥

Princess Angelishia Red7227 what about food? we could either have all the food groups, or we can do the important meals of the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snack) That could be really cute! That was brought up last year. What were you thinking for the rooms though? Like for example, what would the breakfast room look like? ♥
well breakfast is the time of day when youre both pissed and happy. we could have people represent coffee really jumpy and trippy, and then have some sort of bed or person in bed being a drag, sleepy, worn out type. bacon could be like the "hottest" person (like the guy everybody likes), and sausage could be bacons less liked older brother

I know!!! And there's so much we could do with it, if we were to elaborate on the dream theme of it. Or even if we didn't. I keep seeing different settings from the play as different "dreams". Each guest would fall asleep and find themselves in some common area... And then there would be (rudimentary): The Palace The Fairy Bower The Revel The Theatre The Forest (etc, etc...) Maybe these sweet dreams start being corrupted with nightmares, and it's up to the ball guests and hosts to figure out how to fix it?

I'd post that in the fund raising thread! But I thought about that last year. But with all the free tektek shops out there... I figured it would be a bust. Good luck though! ♥

Okay, so... Having another idea, as well.... Based on old time faery stuff, the not so happy and nice stuff. I'm talking... What if we did something on the Seelie and Unseelie courts? They've been at war for a really long time, and have a ball to declare a truce... but someone ends up dead, and they have to figure out who broke the truce...
I'm a huge geek for old time feary lore, so this is stuff I'm actually interested in, sorry! But I see there being a lot of potential for different stuff to do there. There are a ton of different kinds of settings, and depending on your predilection you could choose to go either Seelie or Unseelie... And then, say we have eight rooms... four on each side?
