"There are days where I question myself on that fact alone Adelle. Am I a monster for forcing one of my pride to fight me? Am I truely evil for not letting my females go where they please with whatever male they wish? I suppose...I am abit of both, good and evil, darkness and light, but..." He sighed and shook his head and he ran his paw over his new son's back. "There are days when I feel like a monster..."

Xiao sat in the sun, her azure coat shining, the golden phoenix down her back glittering in the light. She was growing nicely, though she was not quite as elegant as her sister, whom she had not seen since che left to make her own way with her mate, Shaitani. She yawned, as of late, she had not bene sleeping restfully, but had been tossing and turning, plauged with nightmares of her sister and mother. The what-ifs she had faced as a kitten were creating scenarios she dared not think about.

"Are you missing your sister, Xiao?" Blaze padded to a stop behind the teen. The little Shaman watched the pheonix lioness with curious pink eyes. She had no sister, and was alone most of the time anyway. To her, family was a mystery.

Xiao's green eyes found the little lioness. "Yes... I do miss her dearly. We've never been seperated." She said solemnly. "In a way... I envy her. She found happiness so quickly, and then left me alone." She shook her head. That wasn't right. "No. I made my discion to stay here." She said more to herself than to Blaze. "I am happy for her. She deserves her own life." She sighed. "Though I do feel incredibly lonely."

"Such happens in life." The liger sat beside the teen. "You will find your love, I know it. And she knows it." Blaze closed her eyes, tilting her head to listen to the wind. It blew from the north, carrying a tale of the Dragon lioness. "She is happy and has cubs."

Xiao looked at the liger curiously. "You know of such things?" She paused. "I'm an aunt?" She smiled gently. Her sister was fairing well. If Kun Yi could be happy, so could Xiao. The sisters would meet again, she was sure of it.
"Blaze... do you have anyone you miss?" For being in the same pride, the two did not know eachother very well. Xiao was suddenly filled with a desire to close this gap.

"No...I have no sister, or mother besides Leanna." The dark-colored cub stared off towards the river. "One boy and one girl."

"Oh... that is a sad thing... Leanna makes a good mother to all though." She said with a nod. "One what?" Xiao asked, not knowing what the little one was talking about.

"She is having her own soon. There will be no time for me." Not that she really needed it. Or at least, that's what she told herself. "Of the cubs you're sister hand."

Xiao's eyes widend at the kit's skills. "How... How do you know of this?"

Xiao didn't quite understand, but she nodded none the less. "She is happy, yes?" She wanted to know more. Did her sister think of her? Was Shaitani good to her? Were their cubs healthy? Millions of questions buzzed in her skull.

As Ling waited for Adelle to speak again he looked out over his pridelands. It was so very quiet, so very lonely. He sighed and startled as his eyes found Xiao and Blaze sitting there in the grass. It was good they were talking, he hoped for his pride to be one of the best, but, could that really happen? He hung his head and lightly nuzzled his son as the kitten made a soft content sound. "I hope everyone is happy...that's my only wish..."

Nuri continued to patrol Ling's land hours after he had spoken with Blaze. She was a strange cub, seemed in-tune with nature more acutely than the average lion. He smiled slightly to himself, wondering what might become of her in the future. Such talents could be lost with lack of practice.
His travels brought him near the borders of the desert, where Ling had first found him. In the time that passed, he wondered at how much had changed! And how much had stayed the same. In the tall grass Nuri paused in his wanderings and lay down, partly for a rest and partly to contemplate.

Pastel sighed, being all with the pregnant from Ling's only fling and she was worried that that would happen and she didn't want it too. She'd rather be having Nuri's but she wasn't sure he even liked her. So, she followed after Nuri, coming upon him laying at the border of the pride. Approaching him with her stomach bulging with fat kittens growing inside, she layed down next to him. "Having fun, are we, Nuri?" She asked jokingly.
Xia came to slowly and her eyes opened gradually to focus. Noticing that she was in the cave, she remembered that she'd fallen asleep at the hotsprings after having her and Ling's babys. But how'd she end up back in the cave? Her sleepy gaze focused on Ling who was sitting by the entrance of the cave. He must have brought her here.
His mate looked at him greatfully, and then looked down at the two little kittens nuzzled against her for warmth and food. But where's the other one?! I could have sworn there was three! Xia started to panic and looked at Ling, not seeing the other boy next to him. "Where's the other one, Ling?" Her tired voice sounded panicked as she looked at her mate desperately.
