T'thia slept through a few hours of the afternoon in the comfort on Arizath's arms. she woke and rolled over to stare at the sky. Lira, her stomach already begining to bluge with eggs rest in a tight clump with Huntu and Oneth. Arizath was surprisingly awake. she watched a dark figure suddenly apeared, it had to be a dragon. she groaned

"have they sent someone to retrieve me for exile already?"

she watched in disapointment as the dragon circled then she gasped. It was T'orn! the blue rider who had found her on search and had been her best friend in the wyre since she was a candidate. she stood up to greet him as Zaneth landed lightly near Arizath. the blue seamed to be dwarfed by Arizath's size, a fact that had not been true at the start.

"T'thia i've ben looking every where for you, they're evacuating everyone to fort wyre. come on" he say that the girl didn't move a muscle at his urgency "T'thia?"

"i'm not going, i've caused too much trouble already. i'm no asset to any wyre, i just make things worse"

"don't say that. you just need more training. you've kind of been put out since you're the only wyreling of your class left and the wyreling master has been too busy with the younger group. tell you what if you come with me to Fort wyre, i'll help you in your training so you don't get in anymore trouble. what do ya say?" the blue rider held out a hand to T'thia hoping she would accept the offer

T'thia stared up at T'orn, he had been like an older brother to her for a long time now. she gave a nod and took his hand. he wrenched her into a hug which she returned.

"alright let's get to Fort wyre."

T'thia mounted Arizath while T'orn jumped to Zaneth's neck ridges, Huntu found his normal spot on T'torn's shoulder. Lira and Oneth on T'thia's.

"Oh, T'orn, Lira is egg heavy, would you like to have one of her eggs?"

T'torn nodded and pushed his helmet on. T'thia did the same and buckled the last buckle of her jacket to keep out the chill of between. the pair launched into the air circled for altitude and then went between after checking coordinates.

((continued at Fort wyre))

((Sorry for the delay Jupiter_Sabre, I was camping over the weekend..... whee Spirith will be riding.....we haven't done any flying yet.))

Spirith's eyes whirled at the larger dragon and she looked at him with interest. Although the glare she gave Myyth, and the fact that Myyth was trying not to laugh indicated a bit more was going on.

Trying to keep a straight face Myyth turned back to J'quaz. "Should I fetch a few of the women from the lower.........." The girl broke off as a pair of flits appeared and began to hover in front of her face. Rolling her eye's Myyth pulled some food out of her belt puch and stuffed it into their mouths.

"These two flying......When we get to Fort Weyr the training starts."
"I remember you saying something like that about me..........".
"Quiet you"

"As I was saying, I think a few of the women from the lower caverns are about. Can you take a few of them as well as my.....dragon and myself?"

((It's cool Myyth. I know what it's like. 3nodding
Thanks Ray! That clears it all up for me. biggrin ))

Tetoneth watched the little green happily, she seemed to be very interested in him. If dragons could blush Tetoneth would have been completely red. Tetoneth seemed oblivious to what was really going on but what could you expect from a male dragon.

J'quaz smiled at Myyth as she started to say something but didn't get to finish as two flits appeared in front of her. J'quaz nodded at Myyth's comment on her flits. He knew all too well what it was liketo have an untrained flit. He had been lucky when he had found a out a good friend of his knew how to train flits.

As Myyth finally got out what she was trying to say J'quaz nodded. "He says he can take about two others besides you and Spirith. So yes if you can find two others that need a ride we'll take them with us." J'quaz said looking back at Tetoneth who still seemed a bit embarrassed.

"Two more? I'll see who is still around." Myyth looked back at Spirith and rolled her eyes. "I think she'll be staying here."

Myyth walked off and after a few moments found a remaining woman who'd been helping with healing, and a druge who'd been assiting her. They did need a ride, so Myyth lead them back to J'quaz and Tetoneth. Carrying some of bags they had Myyth stopped next to the brown dragon.

With a glance at Tetoneth Myyth turned to J'quaz. "This isn't too much stuff......he'll be able to mange it?"

J'quaz smiled at Myyth's retreating form and glanced back up at Tetoneth who in turn looked down at him. They seem nice. Tetoneth commented. J'quaz rolled his eyes at the brown who just stared blankly.

You just think that Spirith is cute.

Tetoneth glared at J'quaz and shook his head ever so lightly so that Spirith would not notice it. Do not. She's pretty and that's it.

Which is code for you think she's cute. You like her. I can see it. J'quaz grinned as Tetoneth jerked his head back in shock.

Before Tetoneth could reply with anything Myyth returned with a woman drudge and a couple of bags. "Sure he should be able to handle it as long as the bags aren't too heavy." J'quaz said taking one of the bags from Myyth and tying it to Tetoneth's riding straps.

Too heavy Tet? J'quaz asked as Tetoneth looked back at J'quaz and shook his head.

I can handle it. Tetoneth said and with a smile J'quaz turned back to Myyth and gave a thimbs up.

"He says he can handle it. We're good to go." J'quaz says. "We'll just ty on the rest of the bags and then we can be off."

Netesath tryed to stay calm as the dug her out of the rubble. Then she started 'helping' tring to dig Beriadi out. Finally one of the miners politely told her that they had everything under control and would get the girl out safely. She backed off enough so that they could get to her and bring her down to Ray and the healers. Netesath put her golden head on the ground by Beriaid, her eyes colored with her worry over her rider. Wrath, will she ever wake up?

Ray watches closely as they bring Beriadi down from from her weyr. She'd get down from her perch on the barrel, but she doesn't trust her legs. She turns to one of the miners, who's standing nearby. "Did they bring down her flit too? She has a flit, a little brown I think. Wrath tells me Netesath is worried about him."

The miner looks at her blankly a moment, then nods. "I'll go check myself," he replies, swinging a shovel over his shoulder and going back up the stairs.

Healers gather around Beriadi, but keep a discreet distance from the protective presence of Netesath.

Netesath asks if Beriadi will ever wake.

Ray twists to look at Wrath. She should. If she was hit in the head, though, it might take a while... But she should wake, the healers are here. She tries to sound confident, knowing that if she believed the healers could help, then Wrath would convey that belief to Netesath. Maybe if Netesath believed, then Beriadi would be fine.

Wrath is quiet a moment as she passes along Ray's message. The healers are helping her now. She should be fine. Ray says that if she was hit in the head, it might take a while for her to wake up, but the healers know what to do.

Ray watches the healers, then glances at the bright gold queen just beyond them. Her hide is dusty and she recalls that Netesath had been buried as well. Wrath, ask Netesath if she's been injured; she looks okay from here but we need to make sure that if she needs medical attention, she gets it.

Wrath snorts through her nose, making a quiet rumble in her chest. Were you injured at all, clutchsister?

Myyth nodded at J'quaz and passed him the last bag. "Great. I'm looking forward to being on a dragon again. I think Spirith is excited, or she will be when she stops preening......not that thats likely."

"I heard that.......I'm not preening."
"Could have fooled me.....and Tetoneth."
" I "fool" no one. Especially not Tetoneth.
"Mmmmm.......whatever you say m'dear."

Spirith snorted and glared at her rider, even as Myyth was walking over to the two other passengers. The woman from the lower caverns was looking very nerves about the whole thing, although why Myyth wasn't sure why....he was a dragon, not some sort of strange creature.

"Ready to go? Once J'quaz loads the last bag on his dragon we can leave." Seeing the stress on the woman face increase Myyth tried, somewhat in vain, to calm her down. "Don't worry, its perfectly safe. J'quaz does far more difficult things with ease."

See that her words were having little effect Myyth walked back over to J'quaz. "I think you should talk to your passengers...they seem rather worried about the flight. I don't think what I said helped much. I didn't think there would be a problem with weyr folk..."

Netesath watches the healers tend Beriadi's cut and brused form. She trusted Wrath and Wrath's and they said the healers would help her's to wake up.
Wrath asked if she was hurt, I hurt, my back and wing....and here and my tail have cuts She projected the hurt places to Wrath, her fore arm, side, and sholder hurt like they were cut or scraped.

A miner uncovered little brown Paz. The poor thing was bleeding from a cut on his head and had a badly broken wing.

She's got injuries, Wrath reports to Rayi. They don't seem too bad, but they hurt her.

Ray nods wearily, and looks around. She'd take care of Netesath herself, but judging from the throbbing in her ankle, she'd fall over if she tried standing, even with a crutch. P'las seems to have wandered off.

Call Isskio to me, Ray tells Wrath. After only seconds, Isskio appears and lands on Ray's knees. The queen chirps at Ray curiously.

"Isskio, I need you to find Banna. Find Banna, bring her here." Ray tried to visualize the dragonhealer. Isskio blinks several eyelid layers, and sent Ray a corrected image. Ray snorts. "You would know her face better than I, scamp. Go find her, and bring her here."

The flit vanishes from her lap. Ray looks up. "Hey!" she shouts at grungy fellow looking at the healers around Beriadi. "You there!"

There was a commotion on the other side of the Weyrbowl, and K'makin hurries to see what it is. Miners were headed up the stairs, with small dra--no, those were watchwhers!

He joins a group of onlookers as they dig into a weyr and pull out someone. The group is followed by a dragon, who sheds rubble as she makes her way after the miners and the injured rider. Is that Netesath? He hadn't known she and Beriadi had returned!

He looks over the shoulders of the healers as they begin work on the injured woman. Yes, that's definitely Beriadi.

Kya turns as someone shouts at him, and sees Ray perched on a barrel.

"'Hey you there'?" he asks, raising both eyebrows. He opens his mouth to make a joke at her greeting, but closes it again, recalling their argument. Had it only been yesterday?

P'las had been called away by some of the women. They seemed to think that having won the Flight made him all-knowing in matters of Benden Weyr and continued to question him, though he politely told them he didn't know the answers they were wanting.

Pushing them off onto the first Benden rider he saw, he slipped back towards Rayi, questioning Pericolath for an update.

Netesath's is injured as well as the queen herself. Cave-in of the weyr they were in.

Are they hurt badly?

I don't think so. Netesath's won't wake, but the healers are there.

About this time, P'las caught up with Rayi. "A goldrider got injured?"

Ray winces when she recognizes K'makin. He seems somewhat miffed at her greeting. "Oh Kya, I didn't recognize you. I'm sorry, you're all over with dust!" She wonders how she can patch things up, she can't even remember why they were fighting. He must have said something stupid, but it probably wasn't important.

"I needed someone to bring something for Banna to stand on, to treat Netesath's injuries. She's big, and well, you know Banna. She isn't."

Halfway through her half-hearted joke, P'las returns. She nods as he's asking his question, "Yes, yes, Beriadi, the former Weyrwoman who just ah ... resigned this morning, she and Netesath were caught in a weyr during the quake. The healers are doing what they can for Beriadi, but Netesath was injured too. Could you help Kya? The dragonhealer should be on her way, she needs something to stand on to reach Netesath's injuries."

The man looked over at the brownrider in question. Halfway forming a witty retort, the bronzerider just nodded. This was not the time to be joking. Besides, he was tired of talking from those dratted women. The brownrider appeared to be in good shape. "So... Kya, it was? Know where we could get the healer a height adjustment?"

Kya shrugs, somewhat uncomfortably. "There are a lot of barrels on the other side of the bowl; I rolled them out of the storage rooms just a short while ago. There were some really big watercasks. Two of those and a long plank between them, and she can move from side to side without hopping down. They're this way," he gestures, and pauses, wondering if he should turn and lead the way, or permit the senior rider that honor.

What did it matter in this situation? He turns and heads toward the casks.
