Franki smiled and took his arm. "Sounds good," she said. "Thank you... you know, for taking me out, and everything. It means a lot."

"...Things like this ever turn out well- I know. I've read about these sort of situations in all kinds of books before..." he scratched his head, and blinked. Did everything in his life revolve around books? What was h doing with his life? Thoughts like this popped into Remus's head rarely, and when they did, the werewolf shrugged it off, like he was about to do now. He had enough to worry about, his friends still appreciated him- sorta- and now he had to go save a damsel in distress...
Wait- what!?
Remus then clearly realized, that while he was thinking, he had zoned out and watched the staircase move... and now Sunrise was dangling- dangerously- from it. Of course, Remus moved scary fast ( c'mon! He was a werewolf, afterall!) and grabbed Sunrise's... Foot. How'd she manage that?! Oh well- he was trying to muster as much strength as he could to pull her up, but to be honest- dead weight wasn't all that light!

((her foot!!! rofl ))
"It's a pleasure," James said, opening the door to the Three Broomsticks for Franki. "Ruby, clear a table, I brought a girl!" The Rosmertas' daughter came out of a back room, grinning. She had graduated two years ago and always welcomed James and Sirius in on school days.
"So are you the infamous Lily Evans?" Ruby asked curiously, her Irish accent complimenting her flirtatious attitude.. James's laugh cut over theh rest of her inquiry.
"Ruby, Evans is old news, this is Franki," he said brightly.
Sunrise's hands gripped the banister so tightly they turned white. She dueenly felt a tugging on her foot. What the hell!? She looked up and saw Remus was holding onto aforementioned limb. She pulled her foot free of his grasp and hooked it around the banister in front of her hands. She was so glad she had been taking and performing ballet since she was three. "Here, Remus, my hand'll be easier," she said quickly, her face turning red from the awkward position she was in.

"Hi," Franki said. She was caught off gaurd by being called Lily, but she didn't let it phase her. She smiled a warm smile, relaxing quite a bit yet again.

((AH! Ok, I have wedsday's off now, cause' I joined some smarty-kids program at school, and I'd be too late to go to dance! sweatdrop Oh, and KT,I LOVE your siggy!!!! rofl ))
Lily dashed over to Sunrise to help her up. Right now, she'd do anything to keep an affair between the two. She couldn't stand to be on date, not after what she had heard -eavesdrop- on them. The git had dropped her like a used towel! Wait, why should she care?! It's not like she was jeo- Lily! She tugged on Sunrise, ready to take a nice, long, luxurious bath.
( I got the "used towel" part from a book, You Never Can Tell)

Sunrise allowed herself to be tugged and sort of ploughed into Lily and Remus both in the process. They all landed painfully on the stairs. "Thanks guys," she grunted, clutching her side for a moment before getting up and offering them both a hand in getting up.
James walked Franki over to the table. "Sorry bout Ruby, I think she fancies Sirius and likes to think she's out best friend. She's a nice enough lady, but it's a bit disconcerting after a while," he said in a low voice. Rosmerta brought two steamy butterbeers to their table with a warm smile.
"So James, how's the family?" she asked.
"They're fine, really," James said, dismissing her with his closed response. "So Franki, where'd you grow up?"

"Well, I was born in Dublin, Ireland. I was there for about two months, then my mom left. My dad made her leave, he didn't like it when she told him she was a witch. He moved us to New Ross and we've lived there ever since." She paused, trying to think of what would be best to say to finis her thought. "Although, he hasn't been that great to live with since I got my letter," she finished, taking a long swig of butterbeer. "What about you, James?"

James gave off a broad grin. "I was born in London, lived there 'til I was about three years old, then my grandparents died and left my parents this huge house in Godric's Hollow, and we've lived there ever since. When I was four, I begged my parents to have a little brother for Christmas...and I ended up getting a sister that summer. I didn't like her that much at first, but she grew on me after a month or so." James stared determinedly at his bottle of Butterbeer before speaking again. "We don't talk about Lizzie at home that much anymore." He took a large gulp of butterbeer, suddenly wishing it was Firewhiskey, and trying to rid his eyes of the sudden burning pain.
((ha, cranking up the angst factor again!!))

Franki reached her hand over to put it on top of his, but she stopped herself. She let her hand drop inches short from his. "James, you don't have to tell me about stuff like that," Franki said, tears swimming in her eyes. "I-i'm sorry."

James smiled again. Why hadn't he ever noticed Franki before? She was so sweet. "It's alright, I need to talk about it sometimes. I've never even told the other Marauders as much as I've told you just now. It's...it's kinda nice, to tell the truth."

James shrugged. "I've got to have some sort of masculinity, don't I?" he asked. "We've never really been that big on sharing stuff in out past. I Mean, Sirius never wants to talk about his family, Remus is so busy reading we never hear from him anymore, I just don't really feel like it would fit in with us, ya know?"

"Yeah, I get it. And you keep that bit of masculinity you have. If you don't, you'll end up like a girl," she said, trying to lighten the mood. Franki smiled kindly and took his hand. "I'll always listen, no matter what."
