Princess Angelishia sailor sunburst oh! oh! i just got the perfect ideas to fundraise for next years ball! i could make a tektek shop! people pay out in droves for tekteks! i know its out of place, but i just want to throw it out there before i forget! I'd post that in the fund raising thread! But I thought about that last year. But with all the free tektek shops out there... I figured it would be a bust. Good luck though! ♥
^_^ i'll start prepping tomorrow. i'm gonna make different tekteks from shows and games and then have a custom tektek post.

Kala Kirya Okay, so... Having another idea, as well.... Based on old time faery stuff, the not so happy and nice stuff. I'm talking... What if we did something on the Seelie and Unseelie courts? They've been at war for a really long time, and have a ball to declare a truce... but someone ends up dead, and they have to figure out who broke the truce... I'm a huge geek for old time feary lore, so this is stuff I'm actually interested in, sorry! But I see there being a lot of potential for different stuff to do there. There are a ton of different kinds of settings, and depending on your predilection you could choose to go either Seelie or Unseelie... And then, say we have eight rooms... four on each side? that actually sounds kinda cool!

I think I like your Midsummer Night's Dream idea better, since we did fairytales for the 7th and our King and Queen were the Seelie and Unseelie. I too like old fairy stuff though. What about Grimm's Fairytales? But I kind of think that would be too similar to the 7th's theme too. ♥

Haha, no problem! Man, I completely forgot about that... Oops? Grimm's Fairytales could be fun, if we were specific about it, but you're right, I'm worried it would be too close to the 7th's theme... but depending on how specific we were, we might be able to get away with it. And yeah, I'm still a fan of the Midsummer Night's Dream theme idea. Not the least because the ball is held in the summer, and well... it works. ^_^ Do you have any ideas on what we could do and where we could go with it?

Well if we build off of your idea of having the different rooms be different settings we could do that... and each theme could go deeper into the play. We could expand upon the plot between Oberon and Titania, for example. And maybe get the servant they were fighting over more involved and give that bigger meaning. And we could also play with that theater troupe too, and give them more of a story. I think the biggest thing we'd have going for us is all these larger than life well known characters to interact with the guests. ♥

Absolutely. I love the idea of expanding the stories, and playing with them. I keep wondering... would we want to have Puck be the main host, or would it be better if he was a character that went from room to room stirring things up? Because I'm kind of partial to the troublemaking Puck. And if so... who would we want the main host to be? The two that pop into mind for me would be, of course, Shakespeare himself, or, following the dream theme, Morpheus, the king of dreams.

That was my original thought, but I didn't know if we would want to develop a big plot around them if they were the main hosts. ^_^ Honestly, it just makes sense, though. Now I'm excited.... I really want to do this. razz
