Nola lifted her head when she heard Xia asking about their third babe. She moved her eyes around slowly serching the cave for the cub.
"He is right here with his father dear Xia. Your mate is careful with your little ones as a good father should be." Adelle spoke as she looked back at the pink lioness. Looking back at Ling she smiled ever so slightly. "A true monster has no remorse. Those like you and I merely have a heavy thoughts weighing in our minds." She sighed a little and glanced over to her daughter. "I sat by and watched my pervious king slaughter his own children for fear of them taking his place. He had no remorse and I could be called a monster for letting him do it for so long."

Akira awoke from his nap and streched out before shaking the dust from his grey pelt. He let out a yawn and sat up looking around the cave hearing everyone talking, of what he didn't know yet

Nola turned her head and smiled at Akira as he woke up. "Hello sleepy head." She stood and streched herself out. "I think I will go out for a walk. Do you want to come with me?" She asked him rather hoping that he would.

Ling smiled at Adelle as she quickly took to comforting his paniced mate. He moved his back paw aside so Xia would be able to see the young prince sitting curled on the floor. "He is fine, my love...and unharmed. It would seem he took to me quite quickly, I am uncertain if that is a blessing for a curse." His smile shifted to a smirk as he turned to Adelle.
"You have gone through alot Adelle, but you have to know that nothing like that will happen here. That I swear...but..." He sighed and looked to Xia. "I guess i understand your feelings on beng a monster...but then why, why do I still feel like I've let everyone down?"

Pata lover Pastel sighed, being all with the pregnant from Ling's only fling and she was worried that that would happen and she didn't want it too. She'd rather be having Nuri's but she wasn't sure he even liked her. So, she followed after Nuri, coming upon him laying at the border of the pride. Approaching him with her stomach bulging with fat kittens growing inside, she layed down next to him. "Having fun, are we, Nuri?" She asked jokingly.

Pastel smiled at him, "But I'd like to spend time with you, Nuri." With that said, she rolled over and rested her head on Nuri's paws. "I can take care of myself, silly Nuri." She purred at him.
Xia sighed in relief as her mate showed her the other baby that was sleeping soundly next to him, her whole body relaxing again. Her gaze then went to the meat in front of her and she leanred over to eat it as daintily as she could with two kittens nuzzling up to her side.

"It might be that you feel as though you let your self down and so let others down. But be rest assured Ling that I for one have not been let down. And I have a feeling that my duaghter feels the same way." Adelle said very serious before smiling warmly. "Thank you for taking both of us in."

The purple and green male finally looked at Pastel squarely after one last keen glance over the land. He watched as she rolled over onto his paws and purred. Perhaps it would be wise to accomodate a pregnant lioness, he thought with a sigh and a small smile. He lowered his head until they were nose-to-nose. "I was taking a bit of a rest anyway." With a huff, the grass gave way under his weight as he suddenly dropped onto his belly. It felt cool and comfortable to lay on. His tail thumped the ground lightly once or twice as he watched her with a mild expression.

Pastel's purple orbs looked into Nuri's green orbs as he lowered his head to meet her nose with his and she couldn't help but smile at how cute Nuri was, her heart fluttering in her chest. Watching him get up and then flop down next to her the beautiful lioness leaned forward and licked the male's cheek while purring contentedly. heart

Nuri's eyes widened briefly as the lioness licked him. Finally he chuckled at Pastel and asked, "What brings you to the borders of Ling's oasis? Most don't travel this far just on a whim."

Hearing him chuckle was a good thing, and she looked over to him, her ears twitching, interested. They were right on the border of the desert and the oasis and so it was hotter here than in the oasis where they had the trees as shelter. The sun burned down on them though Pastel didn't care very much because she was so light in coloring. The lioness hoped that Nuri wasn't hot because he was a purple in color. "I wanted to find you, Nuri." Se said to him softly, purring happily while she was at it. She sure liked him and she didn't know why. "What bring you out here?" heart

The heat actually did not bother Nuri so much as being thirsty would have. When the sun beat down too long on his back, he shifted to ease the burn. But so much time spent on the periphery of the desert before living here had toughened his mind against such physical discomfort. He watched Pastel carefully as she answered him. It became an unnerving stare. Was it because he already knew the answer and dismissed her feelings as hormonal, or because he did not believe her and was testing her resolve?
Finally he turned his head to look away. "I needed to get out, so I decided to patrol the boundaries of Ling's territory while he is resting from the fight."

Sensing that she was annoying him she turned her gaze away from him as soon as Nuri did and shifted it to the ground. Crossing her paws, she layed her head down on them and sighed softly, closing her eyes as well but remaining awake. "I know you probabaly don't believe me. or something like that, but..."
She sighed and kept her head facing the ground. "I really needed someone to talk to...and...you are the only one that..really talks to me Nuri. The king, he's busy with his kittens, he has no time for anyone but them." She looked up at the male lion with sincere eyes.

Nuri looked down at her curiously as she spoke. Her mannerisms were that of someone who was feeling down, or perhaps worried about something. He wanted to help, whatever was wrong and this became evident in his expression as he nodded to her. Nuri licked her gently on the cheek, hoping to lighten her heart and whatever was troubling her. "What's the matter Pastel? Is everything all right?"

The female purred as Nuri licked her cheek. It was a comfort, in truth, because she craved the affection from him at this time. She blinked her eyes up at him, her expression perhaps calmer now than it had been. "I'm scared Nuri...these..." She looked down at her belly. "The king won't care about these kittens, he has his own now. These...mine...were a mistake."
She rested her head lightly on her front paws, her eyes far off thinking about her trouble. "I haven't told him...and I won't, but...I can't do it alone..." She looked up at Nuri and sighed before giving a half hearted chuckle.
"I suppose you think I'm asking you for help or something...not really..I just...maybe I am asking...for a friend...to help me get through this." She nodded, mostly to herself rather than the male infront of her. It was obvious she was trying to convince herself as well as Nuri that this would work.
