"Hmm..,"hummed Ruckis, eyes fixed on Clint, "Now who is that?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 21, 2007 9:29 am

"I don't know." Tazuya said looking at the personin question just before leaning against the same wall as before. "It doesnt matter does it? Probably just another player." Tazuya didnt care much for anyone. He just usually lets things go by and progress on their own. "By-the-way, the semi finals are next on the arena, right?"

Grace nodded in reply, but was watching the new player closely. "Hackers." She muttered rolling her eyes. "Have to find fault in everything." But truly, this was a virtual world. It was supposed to play off the users own imagination as much as anything else. It simply seemed that the majority of players liked this set up more than the other possibilities.

She smiled to herself considering the endless possibilities they were limiting themselves from. "Does anyone know how long our durations in the game are? Far as I understood this was simply a trial run of the new system." Grace couldn't fully remember the briefing she had been given before entering the game but she knew there had been a certain allotment of time given each player. Supposing she needn't worry about that for the moment, she turned her eyes to the announcers as they began to set up the semi-final matches.

"If that was just as trial run as you say, then semi-finals are bound to be deadly. Now that would be fun! But prehaps our limitation might surpass our abilities in the real world? I wouldn't know because I-er......got in on accident." she said outloud and shifted her eyes around.

Tazuya was reading his fire spell book and suddenly got the idea that he had forgotten something important. Thinking back, he didnt remember what it was, but it must have ben important. "Hey." he called out signaling anyone who would answer. "Do any of you know where to find a black spell book?"

Grace smiled at the girl. She still did not know what her name was but wasn't feeling up to asking at the moment. "It's a virtual world. Nearly anything is possible. I believe this particular version is set up to feed off the players imagination. The only limitations are those your mind sets up for itself."

She watched as the final numbers came in. "Oh, Joy. The matches are starting." She looked over at the boy and shook her head. Magic wasn't really her thing. Too flimsy and uncontrolable for her taste. However she did suddenly have an image of a book in her mind, sitting in one of the shop windows.

"You might find one in that thrift shop down the road. But I couldn't be sure. I'm not so much into magic."

Tazuya's eyes widened. There's no way a spell book of such uncontrollable power would be sold in a pathetic town like this. It was to much of a shock to be believable. "Wait a minute." he thought to himself. "I was there earlier today and they didnt have it. Meaning someone or something has the book or it's just a silly rumor."

"Geez,"said Ruckis looking at Tayuza once more, "you're just looking for all sorts of stuff you shouldn't touch. Tsk. Tsk. Magic isn't something to be bought. I've learned that over my practice with necromancy."

Grace looked at the boy sharply. "There is more than one thrift shop in this town and it would be quite easy for a powerful book to end up in one. Someone such as myself not in tune with magical properties or know how could easily see it as nothing more than a trinket to get some gold off of. If the owner of the shop knew what it was then obviously they would have some way of concealing it if it is as powerful as you say." She looked up at the boards again, frowning.

"It seems there will be a long break due to some difficulties." She looked at the boy again. "I said it could be the book. Not that it was." Standing up Grace left the arena. She wasn't going to waste a long break sitting around. There was a small feild nearby, perfect for practice. And experimentation if needed.

"I think I'll go check out this so called 'thrift shop' for this dark spell book." Tazuya said as he walked out the arena and began making his way through town in search of the shop.

Ruckis followed him afterwards. "Hey, mind if I tag along? I need weapons too."

Walking to the middle of the field, Grace pulled out one nunchaku from it's place at her side and bowed. "Single Nunchaku Sho Dan!" She said loudly. With that, she began the form. Hitting every move hard and with force as though she were actually fighting someone or something. When she had finished, she bowed again, breathing hard. She then began to stretch slowly and carefully. Making sure no muscle was over looked. Some people never realized this but stretching could be a workout in and of itself if done properly.

She watched as the boy and girl headed off down the road. She sort of hoped the book was actually the one he was looking for. The thought caused her to frown in her stretch. Gloating was not the way to go about things, ever. Her Sensei would be very disappointed if he had known what she was thinking. When she was done stretching, Grace went back to the inn where she was staying and got a glass of water from the bartender.

"What have you been doing?" He asked staring hard at her. Grace looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "It is really no concern of yours, but I was stretching." She finished her glass and returned to the field, the bartender's and a few other patron's guffaw's ringing in her ears. The interesting thing to her, was that it was probably her own mind that had made the react that way. She considered experimenting on this later.

"Just as lomg as you don't get annoying." He said silently as he continued to look for the shop. Suddenly after a bit of searching, Tazuya came across a tall building that was decorated with magical charms. Tazuya was immediately impressed by this shop and suddenly got the feeling it could house the black spell book. "This must be the place. Let's go." He sounded more happy than his usual tone, if only a little bit.

Having filled one of the pouches at her waist with water, Grace began a new form. This one being very simple and one of the first she had been taught.

Grace bowed, and then followed with a fighting bow. "Chon Ji Hyung! Hya!" As with Single Nunchaku Sho Dan, every move was done with force as though she were truly in a battle. Her Kia's, only done at the specified intervals, were loud and forceful. She finished the form with a fighting bow and then bowed, breathing, possibly more heavily than when doing the other form. She took a sip of water from the pouch and again began to stretch. She found stretching to be relaxing as all you had to focus on was how deep your stretches were.

By the time the semi-finals started Grace was sure to be a bit hyped on energy.
