Aeya nodded, "Thank you, your majesty." She turned to see the small boat bobbing in the waves, getting closer and closer to the shore. She wished that she had her spear at the very least, but to make up for it she stood tall, trying to look as threatening as possible.
The boat slid asore, the crew mate jumping out and pulling it up out of the waves. Captain Gage stepped down onto the sands, his eyes on the beautiful women on the shore. He observed their posture, and his eyes rested on Ali'kai, the beautiful silver haired goddess. But it was important that he gain their trust, so he slowly approached, stopping a few yards away and bowing, "Please, do you speak english? We mean no harm." He said, looking up to see if they understood him. He looked sickly now this close, face sunken and weathered. His features gave a hint of being very handsome, but lack of food had washed away that attractiveness.
The young selkie held her tongue, but had taken a step forward, just in front of the queen, to make sure that he knew he was not getting near her.

Thamina swam back along the coast after sending everyone else to safety. She stayed in the water watching through her seal eyes. If they needed a healer she would be right there for them. Something about the man approching her queen made her uneasy.

"Yes, we speak English," Ali'kai hissed, looking quite menacing towards this new batch of pirates. Glaring at him, she took a single step forward, scepter in her hand, pointing it at Gage with her eyebrows knitted, blue eyes narrowed considerably.
"We have found otherwise from other batches of visitors, why should you be no different." Glaring at this rude man, she placed a hand on Aeya's shoulder. "What is your purpose here, stranger."

Captain Gage faked his intimidation rather well as he bowed his head respectfully, "My lady, I am the captain of the vessel floating out at sea. We merely need enough supplies to make it back to a port. My men have gone without food and it is my responsibility to provide for them. I beg of you, allow us to remain for a few days, to restock on food so that our health returns and we may leave." He hated having to act so polite, but he was a well trained actor. "If it is our black sails that frighten you, then let me explain. Our ship was attacked by pirates. We won the battle, but our ship was sunk and we had to take the pirate's ship in order to survive. We were lost for a while, our navagator being very ill, but he is getting a bit better, and with proper food, should be able to guide us safely back home."
Aeya listened to the man's story. He sounded sincere...but he was a human, and a man, and that meant that he was evil in her book. "Why should we help you? You've gotten yourself into the mess." She couldn't help but quip, "What makes you think we have food to spare?" She was angry at his gall, to come to this island. He was the threat.

Ali'kai listened to the man's speaking, not believing a word that he was saying. The last crew had been well enough, but they had allowed women onto the ship. These 'men' seemed more suspicious than anything, dark, and scheming. Did they think she'd stayed queen for this long just by being regal? No. There was no way she'd allow these filthy pirates to stay on her island.
Letting out a small growl of agreement, she placed a gentle hand on Aeya's head.
"My warrior speaks well for me. You are not welcome here, pirate," she nearly spat, eyes narrowed in threat. "Leave now and find another island to desecrate!"

Gage sighed heavily, looking mournful, "I am very sorry to hear you say this." He said, knowing that they couldn't leave, they needed supplies, and these women weren't going to stand in their way. He bowed respectfully, "We shall take our leave, then. Could you at the very least point us towards another island with fresh water and food we can harvest?"
Aeya watched the man suspiciously, keeping tabs on both men. She had no idea that another boat had been released from the ship floating off their shores, a small ship with armed men, using the waves to circle around just out of sight and paddle in towards the island, landing in a copse of trees near a small rocky beach. They pulled their boat up and snuck into the wilderness that made up a large part of the island.
Aeya lifted her nose as if the man's stench was getting to her, "Sail south, you will find islands." She said vaguely, just wanting them gone.
The captain nodded, really not liking the little one's attitude, ohh, how he wanted to make her eat those words. No matter...a time would come for that. As he moved as if to go back to his ship, he suddenly spun around with his gun drawn, "I'm afraid that we can not leave without supplies. If you move, I will shoot you." He said softly, "Your majesty." He added in a mocking tone.
Aeya's eyes went wide and she moved further in front of her queen, "You slime!" She snarled, not knowing what a gun was as they had none up at the north tribes. She understood it was a weapon, however. Suddenly the little selkie shot forward on her slim legs, yelling as she launched herself at the man, only to have a searing pain burn through her side as a thunderous roar ripped through the air and she dropped to the sand, writhing as crimson blood pooled into her hands as she held her side where she had been shot.
Captain Gage reached down and grabbed Aeya's hair, dragging her up and holding her, gun to her head, "I will kill her. I don't want to, but I will." He warned, even as the cries of his men came to them as they raided the small village.
"RUN, YOUR MAJESTY!" Aeya screamed, grabbing the gun and pulling it with surprising strength to sink her teeth, pointed like the seal's, into the man's wrist.

Letting out a noise of surprise, Ali'kai's left foot moved back, knowing fully well what a gun was. Growling, she suddenly watched as Aeya launched herself at the pirate, letting out a startled shout as she watched her fall to the ground, knowing she had been shot.
"AEYA!" she cried out, her head whipping about when she heard the cries of her people in the village, her head trailing back as Aeya told her to run. For the first time, in many years, Ali'kai was entering a ferocious state, one that the younger selkies of the tribe had never seen. Suddenly, a roar tore itself from the queen's throat, her eyes livid with hatred. Charging at the man, she lifted her scepter high, taking a swing towards his head.
"YOU WILL DIE FOR THIS, SCUM!"

Captain Gage didn't get angry, no, he was cool and calculating. He gripped Aeya's hair and threw her towards the queen that charged him, making the young selkie cry out. He then took a swift step backwards, drawing his sword with his other hand. He didn't want this woman dead, oh no, she was much more valuable alive. His crew member that had paddled the boat also drew his sword and he charged the queen, swinging towards the arm that held the septer.
Aeya's small body was racked with pain as she was hurled forward. She had been hurt before, but this..what was this? It burned so badly and there was so much blood gushing from her side...yet the wound wasn't very big or deep. Had he...had he struck her with lightning from that little thing he held in his hand?
The men caught a few selkies, one recognizing what they were as he saw several shift into seals and dive into the water. With a roar he tore the skins from one woman, leaving her naked and helpless, unable to transform as she begged for her skins. His mates took note and began doing the same, using rope to bind their few captives that hadn't gotten away as they ransacked the small huts, taking whatever they felt would be useful and setting it in a pile in the center of the village, next to the crying women and girls. All of the seal skins were placed in a sack and gaurded. These slaves would die if their skins were destroyed, so they were merely kept away from them. These men knew how to deal with selkie slaves.

Roaring in anger, the Selkie Queen pulled part of the scepter apart, revealing a sword from the inside, much like a cane sword, her eyes narrowed dangerously. Her left arm caught the young selkie in her arms, placing her down on the ground, her gaze softening only once.
"Don't worry young one, we will save you."
With that declaration, she turned back to Gage, small, sharp fangs protruding over her lip, her sword clanging against the man's, her foot reaching out to give a roundhouse styled kick to Gage's jaw. No, Ali'kai was not going to be some pushover. If anything, she would be one of the hardest selkies that Gage would face. A title of Queen was earned, not given in Ali'kai's world, and now? She must defend not only that title, but all she cared about in this world.

Gage's bit wrist hurt as he caught the Queen's slash, gritting his teeth as he watched her dodge his crew member's slash. The two pirates rounded on the Queen as Gage flew forward furiously, slashing, swiping, and parrying with a grim look on his face. He would make her submit, and the master swordsman worked to disarm her, slashing to get her limbs and sides, injure but not kill. "Stay back!" He ordered his crew mate, making the man shrink back, eyeing the queen hungrily.
Aeya grunted, staring up at her beautiful queen with tears in her eyes, "I'm sorry." She muttered, going to her knees on the sand as she held her side, whimpering at the pain. She growled as she watched the fight unfold, furious that she wasn't doing her duty. The young girl's white furs on her body stretched and morphed as her body rounded, becoming the white seal with a few black spots along her back. Blood dripped from the bullet wound as the seal barked and her visious mouth full of teeth grabbed the second pirate's ankle, making him scream and drop. The heavy seal backed away awkwardly in the sands, bareing her teeth as he barely missed slashing at her with his sword and he went to draw his gun. Aeya once more became a small teenaged girl, holding her side once more as she scrambled away from the gun, whimpering.
The crew member got up, cursing Aeya as he moved towards her.

Now was the time for Ali'kai to truly show her prowess as a warrior, not as a queen. She had tried to be diplomatic and reject this man with grace. His response? To attack her...and her people...it was then, Ali'kai realized something. Her people, those screams she had heard...her family was defenseless!
So, she got more than just a few scratches on her when she turned her head towards the village. Letting out a shriek of fury from the mixture of pain and outrage, she came back towards Gage, her slashes becoming more furious, when suddenly, she came at his face, making a sound slash across his cheek. Growling, she used the (hopeful) opportunity to call out Aeya's name, grabbing her and running, swooping her up into her arms again, going towards the village.
"Young one, we must protect our people first. Never forget that as a warrior. Grow proud, and strong."

Gage growled as he fell backwards, cheek bleeding from the cut. He narrowed his eyes as the two ran. He grabbed a handkerchief from his pocket, wrapping his wrist. "Get up." He snapped at the limping man, "There's no way that she can stand up to the whole crew. Come on." He said, heading into the trees.
Aeya was lifted from the ground and she held in a cry at the jolting. She nodded, "Yes, my queen." She said, "What did he hit me with?" She asked, furrowing her brow as she held her side. "What kind of magic do they have?"
Three young selkies had been captured, their skins torn from them, leaving them in only thire skimpy clothing that they wore besides. They were crying in terror as half of the crew ravaged their village, one more selkie joining her sisters to make four. There were more than twenty men, some already eating hungrily, all armed, and the captives sat in the center.
