Miseria jumped, startled by her goddesses sudden appearance. She smiled once she realized that it was her lady and she greeted her as she had been asked. She looked at her goddesses beautiful eyes and smiled warmly, "Good evening my lady. I am sorry to have jumped, I am not yet used to having such a safe place to sleep." She again seated herself gracefully upon the edge of her bed, sitting up so straight, and yet trying so hard to relax.

EviLXmasBaby Seating herself at the table, Shayna's eyes glossed over a bit. The feast, as Vesira had put it, looked like so much more. Multiple feasts sat before her, awaiting her to help herself. Although she took enormous proportions, she ate each bite graciously, honoring the Goddess for her hospitality as well as respecting Sterling and Miseria both. Her taste buds never had enjoyed such foods as this. Each bite was a new experience of something exotic. Oh, she was so very pleased with herself for finding this temple.
After finishing three plates worth, and resisting another three more, she took a few gulps of the delicious wine that was in her glass. Out of respect, she nodded to Miseria as she left. As her Goddess commanded, she would also head to her sleeping quarters. Standing up slowly, she felt her food settle happily in her stomach. She nodded to Sterling and headed off to her new room.
Opening the door to a pleasant sight, Shayna smiled once more. The chamber itself was small, but would fit her well. She didn't carry much on her journey because she knew not to. If she served her Goddess well, she would provide all that they needed. And of course, she was more than happy to earn her supplies. Taking a step into the room, and closing the door behind her, Shayna sighed. The food was so delicious that she was almost prepared for a nap. But, because she had just arrived at the temple, she figured that would be unacceptable. Instead she pulled out a thin cloth and laid on the floor in the center of the room. Lying down on top of the cloth, she set to working off the weight she knew she gained.
"There is no need for that." The words preceded the appearance of Vesira, in her full glory. Again, she was solidly in multiple places at once, but a small feat for a deity. She stood in the corner on the inside of the room, watching Shayna with a placid expression. "Why have you not laid upon the bed I've provided? Are these rooms not to your liking? Is this sacred place not peaceful enough for you to rest your weary mind?" The goddess frowned, folding her arms across her chest. She regarded the zamphir curiously. "I have another task for you, my dear. There is a type of flower that blooms at the top of the tall hills some miles from here. It is very rare and beautiful and blooms only at night. Its petals are like moonlight, or so I'm told. Only one flower blooms at the top of each hill. I want you to go and bring back to me six of these flowers. No small task, so I suggest you get some rest. This night is almost over. On the morrow, you will set out for this." The goddess turned, despite that there was a wall there and disappeared through it.

She again seated herself gracefully upon the edge of her bed, sitting up so straight, and yet trying so hard to relax. Vesira remained standing, gazing at her zamphir disciple with steady eyes. She didn't speak for a few moments, simply studying the zamphir. "Tell me of the Hunt." The statement was simple, but held within it the goddess' desires to hear of the world and the mortal exploits that might capture her attention. She had been desperately lonely and wished to hear another speak for a while. This zamphir with the cunning eyes surely had many stories to tell. "Regale me with your tales. That is your task this night. Entertain me."

Miseria looked slightly surprised at her goddess, no one had ever asked her to tell tails of all that she had done. She tried to relax and think of what she could possibly tell her goddess that would entertain her. She thought and thought and finally she remembered her first moment of glory, the day of her first hunt, the day she became a zamphir woman in her family. She looked at her goddess and spoke softly, unsure if her goddess would be offended by her request. "M'lady first my I ask that you be seated. I would be honored if you would be seated as I told you the story of my first hunt. I have told no one but my.." she paused a moment, remembering her belove mother, "mother." As she finished speaking she feared that the goddess would be angered by her request, she simply was too nervous feeling watched from the goddess standing above her.

His bright eyes alighted. An offering... He eyes then fell upon the golden ring that claimed his finger and nodded to himself. "I could offer you the gilt treasure of a thousand seas to fill your chambers, the jewels of countless lands to adorn your flawless beauty, or illusions of beauty and mystery to dazzle your wondrous eyes. But each of these would pale in comparison to you my goddess. The only thing I have to offer to you are my services as you humble servant and adoring worshiper, along with this one golden ring, that means so much to my history." As he reached to slip the ring from his finger, moved toward the alter, and gently placed the golden circle upon it, bowing once more to her and backing away just a few steps, to give her space. He hoped he wasn't overstepping any boundaries of this world by offering such a sentimental object.

The goddess gave a wry smile and was seated at the edge of the bed, her garments settling about her. She looked to the zamphir with knowing eyes, as if she looked into Miseria's soul. "Continue with your story. And relax, for here you are safe."

She smiled, slightly surprised at this gesture. She went to the altar and picked up the ring, turning it over in her hand. She looked back to Malachi. "This is more than enough treasure for my halls. I would be honored to wear such a trinket." She placed the ring on her finger and turned back to the angelic. "I'd like to ask of you another task. Now, I will be blunt here. You are a dark angelic, and a handsome one at that. The tasks I ask of you are part of your trials. Should you please me in these tasks, I will accept you as my Angelique, to be my companion through time." She smiled warmly now, then gazed down at her ring. She was pleased, but refused to be too flustered. She was the goddess of a mighty race of hunters, and she would behave as such. Turning her mismatched eyes back to Malachi she said, "I want you to transform my rather bland throne room into one most befitting me. I also ask that beside my throne there be placed another. You have free reign over this project, as none are allowed in this room as of yet." She gestured behind the altar to the heavy door past which no one besides the goddess and her bat attendants has ever been. It opened, unbidden and she walked through it in a very mortal manner. She felt no need for fancy exercises of power while in the company of this male. The throne room was large, but unremarkable. Many lengthy curtains hung from the walls, casting shadows along the floor and walls. A single throne stood in the center, surrounded by many perches for her bats. A single large, circular window allowed the light from the moon the illuminate the room from behind the throne. She turned back to Malachi. "Do with it as you wish, and should you have need of anything call to me. I will retire now to my personal chamber." She was gone almost instantly.

Fatal Irony Vesira turned her attention to the zamphir that still stood here in the altar room. She watched her disciple place the fish charm on the altar and smiled. "That pleases me," she said at the zamphir's comment. "Tell me your name child, then off with you down the Whelp's hall. There is still a feast going on, though at least one of the guests has already retired to her room. I will come to you again once you are in your chamber." She smiled, pleased her temple was filling with worshipers. Ebby beamed slightly as the Goddess stated that she was pleased with her. "My name is Ebby, And Squeaker and I are at your beck and call My Lady." As Ebby mention Squeaker she nodded towards the bat on her shoulder. Ebby also recognized a dismissal when she heard one. She bowed once towards the deity and headed towards the feast. She nodded to the male in the room and sat down to eat. She loaded her plate and nibbled softly trying alittle of everything. Before she knew her plate was empty and she was full. She nodded towards the male and headed towards a room to call her own. Finally, she found a room at the end of the hall and it seemed to suit her. She smiled at the bed that was so much softer and warmer then the branches she had been resting in. She crawled into the bed and snuggled down like any cat and took a cat nap. Meanwhile Squeaker had flown up to the ceiling and rested his head there

Sterling ate quietly, feeling slightly overshadowed by the Zamphir around him. He knew he wasn't exactly in their league, and he felt inferior to them. After all, they were Vesira's precious Zamphir, and he was only a half-hearted worshipper. So, while Sterling appreciated the extravagant food, and got a little tipsy off the wine, he sulked most of the night. After dinner, he found his new quarters, and found them much better than his old ones. He cheered up considerably, sinking into the soft bed. "Maybe I am worth something to the goddess after all." he thought, smiling happily. He was beginning to feel at home here, and actually enjoyed doing the tasks assigned to him.

Malachi had spent hours on his hopefully, soon-to-be, Goddess' throne room. He had done his best, and found a number of old skulls and other bones from what he had guessed to be her vampire victims. He had arranged these skulls, melding them together well to create a perfect throne, two of the larger skulls were put at the end of each arm rest, just the perfect size, he would guess, for her claws to fit around. Upon this he had also made a wonderful show of a few other boned that had been in the collection, not just skulls. Having made this, he had settled a very large, and very comfy red satin pillow upon the seat of it, completing it perfectly. To match this throne he had simply used a dark red-ish wood, polished beautifully.
Along with they thrones, there were other additions. Red and black candles dotted the room, giving a wonderful glow to the room, as the sun was, at the moment, help out by think, red curtains, velvety in texture. He had also added another, beautifully made alter in this room, right below Vesira's throne, it was made of the same red wood as the second throne. There was also now a think red length of carpet that lead from the dais, to a side door, which he guessed would be an entrance and exit for the goddess, if she wished not to poof mysteriously.
Having finished, and been happy with his work, he quickly adjusted some of the dark velvet that hung from the pillars around the large room, they seemed to sway malevolently, though there seemed no true wind to brush against them. Smirking to himself he looked around, standing before the two thrones, and speaking simply. "Vesira, oh beautiful goddess, I have finished my second task, and am ready for your eye to pray upon my work." He was guessing, that she would hear him, no matter where she was.

Now it is time for another appointed task. I leave this duty to another, however. I bid you to visit upon my throne room- a rare privilege. Find there the male angelic that was in the altar room upon your arrival. He will give you further instructions. This is as much his test as yours. Serve him as you would me." She patted the zamphir on the head lightly, still grinning. "I know you will not displease me. Your bat companion is welcome to stay here. My many bat attendants as well as the companions of the other worshipers are out feasting on bugs this night. He may join them to feast and play if he so desires." She turned in farewell and dissolved into the air.

She purred, the voice preceding her. She materialized in the center of the room, looking kindly upon the baddie. "You are indeed an impressing mortal to reside amongst such a strong race of females. I commend you in this. Are your accommodations to your liking? It really is of no matter. As you please me and gain ranks your rooms will get better." She paced the room slowly, gracefully, keeping her mismatched eyes trained on Sterling. "I will appoint you a new task soon, however you have earned a rest. Feel free to spend some time exploring the temple, but be mindful of the areas you ought not to venture into. Also, feel free to speak with the others here. There is no sense in my worshipers to be strangers under the same roof." A smile played about her face. "Rest well, dear Sterling." She faded into the air, leaving the baddie to his rest.

She opened the side door and a glimpse of her personal bedchamber was visible before she closed the door behind her. Her eyes twinkled with amusement as she walked as a mortal might into the center of the room. The carpet felt good beneath her bare feet and a grin spread about her features. She took in the room, scrutinizing each detail slowly. She stopped beside Malachi and gazed at the two thrones. Her grin grew wider. "Ah, that there is two..." she murmured in happiness. She turned to look at Malachi, her eyes shining with pleasure. "It is lovely. The skulls are a nice touch, my dear." Her voice was soft and confidential, meant only for him. She stroked his cheek gently, pleased with his work. "You certainly rose to the occasion of decorating a throne fit for a goddess and her future Angelique." She winked at him slyly and looked back at the thrones. She seemed thoughtful for a moment before speaking, "This next task is very important." She spoke slowly, measuring her words, "I need you to perform a duty that is typically reserved for myself. If you wish to reside here and rule by my side, I need you to be able to take charge with confidence and surety. Zamphirs are spirited and dangerous women, though I doubt they would harm my favored follower," She flashed a grin at him, "or my Angelique when one is established. Still, it will take courage to give one of them an order. I have directed one to come here to you. For this appointed task, I will stay here and watch." She took the few steps to her throne and was seated. Her grin seemed endless. She looked at Malachi, then motioned for him to take up the throne beside her. "Let's play pretend." She winked at him, chuckling to herself.

Malachi watched as she looked around the newly designed throne room. He smirked at her praise, bowing slightly, he also thought the skulls were the best touch. Her hints and nudges of ideas set him into good spirits. He brushed hair from his bright eyes as his next task was presented to him. He thought for a moment and smirked, to give a follower a task? Maybe he had something in mind, something that might be better for a more important follower, though he might be able to place it on the shoulders of a less important, as there were few important faes to earns spots in this temple.
Following her lead, he settled into the dark wooden throne just lower than her own. His wings stretched impressively behind him before settling about his shoulders, awaiting the visitor to this chamber. His dark eyes traced the silhouette of whom might become the love of his life, this beautiful goddess.

A smile spread across Sterling's face when his goddess spoke to him so favorably. He was very flattered that she looked on him so kindly, and that she was granting him a rest. The Zamphir women had been hard for him to handle, after all, and he was slightly stressed from his encounter with them. However, he had to admit that they were very intriguing, despite, or perhaps because of, their mysterious, seductive air.
Sterling was slightly surprised that the goddess had vanished almost as soon as she had come, but he knew that she knew he was very appreciative without him having to say a word. He knew that he would go exploring the next day, because he was very curious about the temple. He was also looking forward to his next task, and getting to know the other Zamphir more. Perhaps one day he would earn their respect.
