Huojin was hardly popular, and if anything he usually made others avoid him! For some reason Farsiris saw him as busy.. but maybe he was the one flustering her for attention? He felt some worriment develop in his stomach and he quickly tried to shake off whatever doubt he felt in his body and mind.
Farsiris could take all of his time and company, though he didn't want to admit it. He'd probably freak her out.. but truthfully he would have happily taken that reality. But for now, he was probably taking all of her adventure time! That made HIM rather selfish, and he didn't like that. So, he tried what he could to assure that Farsiris could explore some on her own.
"Heh yes, I understand what you mean." he then said, while putting up his best plain face. "Just make sure you have fun yourself while you explore some more."
There, that was acceptable, right? Yeah.. he was doing the right thing. He couldn't take all of Farsiris' energy. She was independent and would certainly enjoy the land on her own! "I've really had a wonderful time." he then said, with a large grin. "Thank you."

Oh, he was leaving...?
Really, they were dancing around each other but such was the way of young adults. No doubt her mentor would have had a field day, causing havoc left and right for entertainment purposes...but for now Farsiris remained completely in the dark. She hadn't been aware that parting from friends could be quite so difficult...admittedly she missed those on the slopes but this seemed harder. She could only assume that it was due to how courteous he had been to her - her first meeting in the low lands had been a very lovely one. She couldn't have asked for anything more...
Regardless, she afforded a slightly warmer smile as he seemed to echo her own words. Her assumptions weren't always accurate, but the manner in which he had presented himself indicated that perhaps it was time to part ways for a little while. He was being selfless in permitting her free time and in the process she no longer had to worry about stealing his time either. Was there really anything more the stallion could give her?
Mulling this question over in her mind, her expression soon became clouded and her eyes somewhat glazed. Small strands of her mane slipped against her eye and yet she scarcely budged. No, with a toss of her head she had come to the conclusion that Huojin had gone far beyond the call of duty and he was terribly nice company. No doubt there were plenty of other individuals who felt exactly the same way that she did!
Her smile grew and she lightly brushed her tail against her leg as she spoke, "You couldn't have made my first day here any better, I should be the one thanking you..."
"But you have to promise to at least visit me some time so I can return the favour, right?"

The realization that she was actually leaving really sucked in Huojin's mind, but like he presumed, it was the right step to take! "Of course I will come visit, and trust me no favor needs to be returned." He bowed his head politely, and realized he needed to say good bye at this point. Well crap. He had never said goodbye before. He ran away from his family, so this was the first good bye ever! He supposed they weren't that bad really.
"Have safe travels, and I will definitely see you and visit soon." And if he didn't he would seriously kick himself. Friendships needed to be kept and cherished, and Huojin would work hard with this one. He backed up a little bit, though moved slowly so that he could watch her with a grin. He'd see her again.. right? Now THAT worriment fled into his brain! Be positive be positive.. how unnatural that felt!

There it was, not quite a good bye but it was something she could recognise. It was the long and drawn out version - almost the manner in which Yei treated Grencia when he left to explore. It wasn't ever a simple 'see you later darling', it was an affair that lasted at least an hour in which her mentor ensured that her mate had packed his lunch, was safe and wasn't in a directionally challenged mind set. When Farsiris really thought about it, her mentor really did have some bizarre quirks.
Nevertheless her smile never left her lips as he bid her a safe journey, she could do nothing more than to give a bob of her head in return. Canting her head to the side she was already aware that one goodbye deserved another. At least she had been reassured that he would visit, this in itself was important and fundamental given that she would have struggled to say farewell otherwise.
She always had to leave on good terms.
Always.
"You may say it doesn't need to be returned but you're just being polite," tilting her head to the side she shifted her weight from one hoof to the other and continued to watch him walk away at a rather slow rate. "But until the time you do visit, stay safe and keep smiling!"
She would have waved but unfortunately, she wasn't well versed in rearing and maintaining her balance at the same time. She'd tried it as a foal and it hadn't worked out that well.

Stay safe and keep smiling.. he would do that, and hopefully she would do the same!
But for now, he was slowly walking away, and he continued to do so until he was finally out of sight. As he finally turned himself to wander on his own, he couldn't help remain smiling, even though he was a bit bummed.
"Goodbye." he then whispered, while dragging his hooves. Tomorrow was a new day, but for now the night would be long and quiet as usual. He was trying hard not to worry about his new friend so instead he stared ahead and tried hard to plague his mind with some other stresses. Or maybe he should sleep.. or well, he'd have to see.
