Bookstores. I don't really like the library. I know the book is not mine...but, actually, my friends and I kind of have this book club library thing going on. We borrow books from eachother, so, I guess I like to borrow books from friends, too.

A bookstore unless I'm short on cash then I go to the library for a while. There's just something about owning a book....that I love.

It depends. I work in a library so I usually just check books out. If I really like the author or the series, I'll buy the book online (books are cheaper online).

I use the library as a place to test out books. If I truely enjoy what I read, I purchase the book.

I prefer buying my books. That way I won't worry about it as much if I drop it in a mud puddle. sad I've never done that, but I'd hate myself if I did.

Day: 6 Contest: 15
I prefer to see if the local library has it or if I can request it through there from another library...
It's actually pretty good, because I only re-read books that I absolutely love so this way I don't have a ton of books at home. It can also be an educational experience. Like one time I was reading a book that was historical fiction about the wars in the UK against the Vikings. There was mention of saddling a horse and putting their feet into the stirrups and someone had written in the margin that stirrups weren't invented until another couple hundred years after...
It was quite funny.

bookstore. the smell is that of knowledge, freedom, and coffee. Libraries simply smell like old and boring subjects.

I like going to the library more. It has a more welcoming atmophere, you know? And you can look through the books without employees giving you the evil eye. Sure, there's no cafe where you can get hot chocolate, but borrowing is free, so that makes up for it.

Preferably I go to the bookstore since it has a wider variety to choose from. ^^

I prefer to go to bookstores for a few reasons: 1) I love manga, and libraries rarely have complete sets. 2) They usually have a coffee shop or a nicer chill spot than libraries do to read the books. 3) Lastly, I find it more fulfilling to watch your collection grow than have to give every book you read back.
I especially like going to borders! *sighs happily*

Very few books I will read more than once. So, I generally get my literature from the library.
