Kai kept her eyes directed away from Rem as she bore her eyes at her. "Yes. Some of us have a knack of magnetizing trouble."
She watched the start of the fight for a bit before slamming her hands into her jacket pockets and walking off to sit at the sidelines.

Jack looked over at his fight watching buddy as she looked on at the fight what do I say, dang shes changed alot... or maybe I just changed, you should say something, nnnnnow!.... okay Jack, your a retard, you... need... too... speak! Jack gave himself a mental slap, the first sentence he asked was not the first thing he wanted to engage in a conversation with "so other than making a new dragon, you meet anyone new?" Jack stopped himself from narrowing the specifics to other guys
(Jacks got girl problems rofl )

Zaira's eyes parted from the light show and found Jack, where she then raised her eyebrows at his question.
Leaning her head back against the wall and looking into the abyss "Not really, I've just been down in Sotaru's lab, studying and training. This really was the first time I'd come out, so I'm surprised that everyone showed up. That was a stroke of luck." She said somewhat non-chalantly, obviously not noticing Jack's problem.
"How about you? Meet anyone interesting while on Earth?"

Rem chuckled lightly and shook her head. Jack and Zaira were just too cute. Leaning herself down with a sigh she glanced at Kai for a moment. "So, what happened?" She asked nonchalantly. "Why was one of THEM on earth?"

Aergan chuckled a bit at Jack's mental argument. "Kai," he said, "you're extremely mellow, you know that?" His voice still carried the amusement, but was a serious query into Kai's...er....mellowness. He also watched Zaira and Jack, responding to Rem's chuckle. He snickered a little bit, waiting for their response, but also watched the ongoing fight.

Jack smiled when she spoke thinking yes, see?! you didnt die, now be smooth Jack gained a little confidence in his second sentence "Not really, I was just going around doing little abnormal jobs to get money, met some people at the car dealership where I bought the car... that... I... blew up... kinda been keeping to myself though... learned a few new tricks, as you may have heard..." Jack answered

Zaira listened intently while Jack described his past experiences since their parting.
While listening she picked out key words that she didn't get and also some she would ask about, and once he finished, she did so.
"What kind of abnormal jobs? Car. . . . that great black metallic thing you all rode in last we were on earth? I have heard of no such tricks, unless blowing up the 'car' is it." She said the last part jokingly.

Jack laughed to Zaria's confusion easing his tension, "You mean your human and you have no idea what a car is?! Next time were at Earth I gotta show you a nice car, the car I was driving was like a beast, when you turned it on it sounded like a big cat growlin. As for the abnormal jobs, other humans are not to fond of the abnormal, things that dont usially happen on earth, ghosts, things that cant be explained, so they would ask for someone like me, and I would take care of it, 60 or 70% of the time it ends up being an extremely weak demon having some fun with the locals, so I go kill the demon without breaking a sweat, and get paid handsomly for it. As for my trick, no blowing up my car is not a trick, just a byproduct of my... mistake..." He choose his words carefully, but was very relaxed with talking to Zaria now "Ive learned some new fire tricks, Kai saw my coolest one, but I dont usially do it unless I really need too, its new to me and I dont know what else it can do... like what it can do to me in the long run or what"

Kai knew the questions were coming, but that didin't make it any less aggrevating. She shot Rem an annoyed look.
"They're here for the usual bull, apparently." she turned to Aergan with a raised eyebrow. "Really? Is that a bad thing?"

Rem nodded decisively turning her eyes back towards her son. "Of course it's a bad thing!" She said incredulously. "When Kai is mellow bad things happen, worse than our normally bad things!" Rem absently traced her patterned scar on her right arm absentmindedly.

((Jack's surprise about Zaira's lack of knowledge of cars made me notice something about my character bio that I neglected to mention. Zaira was time shifted to the arena, I made a little update to her profile on page 3 of the profiles forum.))
~Beasts that growl like large cats?~ Zaira thought, trying to line up the description to the limo that was driven last time. "Ah-ha, taking care of things that normal humans don't know of." She absently nodded in understanding "Well, I want to see this trick, perhaps when the young ones are finished you can show me? Or are you perhaps too tired since using it so recently?" Now she was just trying to bait him into a fight, she finished her sentence with an eyebrow raise and a small grin with a slight look at him, to see if he would react to her taunting.

Aergan would have grinned if he could, but beaks aren't the greatest thing to grin with. "You two are such a nice couple," he shot at Jack and Zaira jokingly. "When's the wedding? And yes, Kai, I think that you being mellow is a recipe for disaster. It's like, the apocalypse, or something."

Kai winced. It were times like this when she remember why she liked being a loner before she met these two nutjobs. At least then no one knew how to see through her.
