"Whoa!" Akamaki said as Coal toppled her over. Freeing herself from Coal she got up and brushed herself off "Oh, no problem." she said smiling as she scratched Coal behind the ears. Looking over at Dimitri she asked "Any clues yet? Anything would be nice."

Dimtri kept flipping through the book, going deeper then he had gone before. he was finding odd sketches of dragons and people, on one page would be a person, then next too it a picture of a dragon, but the odd thing was the dragon and human were, slightly simlair in some cases. He remebered several chinese legends about dragons shapeshifting. could the dragons really have that ability... He thought. He looked up "I was kinda depating that just now, but it would take a imposable strong sword and a impossable strong person to drive a sword into a stone" He said.

Shadow felt his mouth drop. "Amazing." He whispered. "He looked at Zack. "What do you mean the two watching us?" He looked around and saw a man and a woman standing on a building watching them. He turned back to Zack/James. "You think we should go say hi?"

"I think that would be appropriate," James sighed chuckling slightly.

"I think you're weak and will be killed for your weakness, look they've been watching us so I think they're planning on killing us. With this reasoning in mind, I think we should kill them both right now." Zack grinned an evil smile crawling across his face

Zack then dissappeared again leaving only James on the outside,


"Well, what do you think?" he asked Shadow as he became his whole self once more.

"...what the hell, don't know till you try right?" He said. He tuck the book into the inside of his jacket. He opened a crate and pulled out a leather wrapped package, the pulled off the leather strips, revealing the blade in it's sheth. " and before you ask, yes I can use it, and yes it's sharp" He said and walked over too the lock, he drove the blade into the lock until it wouldn't go any farther, which was too the hilt., a click sounded. Dimitri tried too pull the sowrd out but couldn't. "what the..." He tried turning the blade, it turned. He kept turning it. the stone shattered revealing a strang looking sight, it was like someone had cut a lock so it was only the gears and mechanical parts, stone was set around the blade. Dimitri turned the blade abit more, the stone fell away, and Dimitri pulled the blade back and shethed it. "...that was interesting..." The gate began to glow, the area around the runes glowed red like neon lights. "...".

Altair heard the flapping of wings behind him, and turned, one of the various messengers came flapping down quickly changing from dragon too human in mid air, he landed and ran up to Altair. "what is it?". "...sir...the gate sir...sir the gate's been opened" "...go back and tell my men too meet me at the gate" Then Altair changed too dragon form and flew off too the mountains were the gateway was.

"W-w-whoa!!!!" Akamaki exclaimed, her hand going to her hilt as an instinct. Then realizing she had her hand on the hilt she took it off at once, still staring at the gate. She slowly approached it and, careful not to touch it, she started to examine it. "This is.. amazing!" she said, shocked.

"He's just doesn't trust people easily," James said following Shadow, "and what do you mean you'd know? It doesn't matter what kind of dragon you are, your personality is your choice, not anybody else's choice. I mean, in your case, at least you get to choose everything that happens in your life." he continued reminding Shadow of what he had that James had never had, freedom.
