Kane arrived at the legendary restaurant ship to meet the legendary fighting chiefs and soon arrived and docked his ship and tied off the end of it and hopped off it and went onto the floating dock."What a thunderous aura surronding this place. I wounder what the chiefs will be like." he said out loud to himself. If someone saw him they would think he was a tourist. He then took a gaint breath then exhaled and slowly reached up and took the door nob and entered. "I would like to learn your techniques and other things." he said grinning. He waited for a responce from Zeff. He eventually arrived arrived out of the kitchen. "Ok. I will teach you."

This was Alexander’s first time away from Logue Town; he was happily surprised that he hadn’t had a lot of trouble with the boat… well it only tipped over once and that was pretty good for him. At least he had been close to shore when it happened and after that he got things under control. Everyone in the East Blue, at least every Chef, had heard of the Bartie. Alexander had dreamed of going there and training under the Chefs of the Bartie since he was thirteen years old. Now that time had finally come, Alexander stepped onto the Bartie and immediately ducked as a man went flying over his head and into the water. He started to rise and then swung his leg around to knock aside a frying pan that had followed the man; it was an automatic reaction. He heard a shout from inside, “And don’t come back!”
Alex looked through the open door and saw a bearded man whom Alex knew by reputation, it was Chef Zeff, Head Chef of the Bartie. Before he could stop himself Alex had bent double and shouted out, “Chef Zeff would you please train me! It’s what I’ve wanted more than anything for the past few years!”
Zeff looked him over and grinned, “If you can do that kick again for me where I can see it better I might consider it lad.”

Alex’s head shot back up as Zeff agreed to teach him if Alex would show him the kick one more time. Alex knew some martial arts, he was self trained though so he knew that it needed refining. Still all the same he followed Zeff out around the side deck of the ship where there was an open area that they could train in. Zeff looked him up and down for a moment, “You don’t look like much kid, I’ll say that right now. But that kick had potential so let’s see it again. If you can do it well enough I’ll show you a few things, we’re slow today anyways.”
Alex smiled and nodded. He took a deep breath and focused. Kicking was his specialty, his upper body strength left something to be desired but his lower body was pretty strong and flexible to boot. Alex planted one of his feet firmly in front of him and did a high kick that would have given his opponent quite a headache if there was actually someone in front of him. Alex held it for a moment before lowering his leg with a nervous grin, “Well…?”
Zeff considered, grim faced, for what seemed like forever before nodding and saying, “It’ll do.”

Zeff grinned and kicked Kane in the chest making him fly backwards and then he hit the floor making it break and then rolled backwards till he hit the wall. "Damn that was strong kick Zeff. How did you do that? What was that move called?" he asked these multiple questions because they were good ones to master the technique. "It is called lethal Kick. You either kick your foes chest or head and you can inflict damage to them." Kane got up and moved towards where he was before. "That is intresting." he then tried to kick zeff and he moved back. "That was weak." he said with a laugh. He tried to kick again and it was good.

Zeff paced in front of Alex for a moment then seemed to come to some conclusion, “Before I can train you I need to see how you would fight naturally. So I want to see you perform a few simple kicks. Here, here and here.”
As he said this Zeff indicated low to the ground, around the ankles, middle of the air at the stomach, and higher up at head or neck height. Alex nodded and stretched for a moment, he whipped his leg back and swung out at the lower place. As soon as he had straightened his leg he recoiled it and with a twist extended his leg into the middle height; finally he quickly planted the foot he had been kicking with to bring his left around in a high arc.
Zeff considered this for a second after letting Alex relax his posture, “Okay, the way you fight resembled something called Muay Thai. It emphasizes use of the hands, elbows and knees as well as the arms and legs. All strike points are hard and it is a fluid fast art. Now I want to see a simple two kick to the middle and head heights. It’s a simple move that is universal whatever the fighting style.”

Alex shifted from foot to foot for a second to loosen up his hips a bit before doing anything more. He was happy but quite surprised that the Head Chef was so willing to help. Granted, looking at his face he was hardly the picture of sunshine and rainbows but he was helping him all the same. Alex’s smiled widened as he thought of this, “I really wanted to say thanks for doing this… it’s hard to believe I am training with the Chef Zeff!”
Zeff nodded and said, “Yeah, yeah kid I’m not getting any younger and if you don’t show me those kicks you’re gonna be training out here alone.”
Alex nodded quickly and stopped pacing. Alex swung his leg out at the center position then once again at head height before turning to Zeff. Zeff looked at him for a second and said, “Again, but for the higher kick you need to put a little more force behind it, thrust the leg don’t just whip it around—that’s good for certain moves but this one is about kick powerful strikes. Now, show me.”

This was actually pretty fun; he had never really trained under anyone before. It was just things he could pick up and some basic physical training for the past few years. It was nice to finally have someone showing him how to handle himself. Alex swung out his leg at the middle height Zeff had indicated and then tried the higher kick with a bit more force behind it this time. He tried to strike out a straight kick instead of the partial roundhouse he was use to. But his balance was off on his footing for that much force behind the kick, his grounding foot slipped and he ended up falling backward. He caught himself before he hit the floor but it was still embarrassing.
His face was a bright red as he looked up at Zeff. The man stared at him for a few seconds before bursting into laughter, “Don’t take it so hard kid. Id be willing to bet you’ve never had an ounce of training in your life before this and yet you’re already catching on fast. Try it again; shift your weight with the kick though. Keep in mind if you hit an opponent they are going to push you back even more though.”

Alex set his face, determined to get it right this time. He did a quick breathing exercise to calm and relax himself. He readied himself and visualized the people he always thought of when he really needed that extra burst of energy to drive him to perfect a move. The three pirates who had killed his adoptive parents; the reasons that he lost the only people he could remember being his parents. The same reason he was going off to join the Navy after he had received enough training.
Alex gritted his teeth hard as he struck out two rapid kicks to the middle and upper areas. He did it with a quick thrusting motion rather than the sweeping one Zaff had told him to avoid. His foot had been rooted firmly and his leg was fully extended, he slowly brought it down.
“Good. Next up is another simple little move. You up to it kid?” Zaff said simply walking up to Alex.

Ben Walked into the floating restaurant not really paying any attention to where he was going and accidentally bumped into a table and knocked over a plate of half eaten meat. He looked down at the food on the floor and before he knew it a old man came out with a peg leg and a large hat and threw a kick at Ben. He managed to dodge it by leaning back a little but just barely. “How dare you ruin food in my restaurant you little punk!” Ben didn’t really have any idea what the man was talking about so he tried to apologize to him but to little avail. “Look, I don’t know what I did but I apologize. I’m not looking for trouble. I was looking for a tea…” Before he could finish what he was saying, the old man picked his leg up and kicked Ben in the stomach sending him flying across the room and into a wall with a loud thud. After shaking off the impact, he got off the wall and grinned at the old man. “That kick...it was so strong. Teach me to do it too.”

Ben got into a fighting stance toward the old man and grinned at him rearing his leg back. He recalled how the old man kicked him in the gut and the reaction he took towards him and he jumped in the air and rapidly came down in front of the old man then bent his leg back and let lose a kick to the chef’s stomach knocking him back about an equal distance that he had kicked Ben. The old man countered quickly and sprang up glaring at Ben. “Do you know who your messing with?! I’m th…” Ben then interrupted him in the middle of his statement grinning. “You’re the head chef here and the ex-pirate Red Shoe Zeff who taught the famous pirate Black-Leg Sanji.” Zeff was a little surprised but sneered at Ben and turned to the side like he didn’t care. “Yah, what of it?” Ben turned around and walked back a few steps and looked at Zeff in the eyes and spoke. “Zeff. Please teach me your kicking techniques.” Zeff was reluctant and huffed at Ben. He didn’t think that Ben had any heart simply knocking food to the ground and was about to say no until he turned to look at Ben. He was eating the dropped meat of the floor like there was nothing wrong with it. “Hey kid. Why are you eating that? It fell on the floor.” Ben took another bite and smiled. “Well, because good food or bad food, it is something unique. It’s hard to come by but when you do you finish it no matter what.” The other reason was because he was really hungry but that wouldn't sound as good. Zeff was a little moved by his words and walked over to him just as he finished the meat. “…the kick you just imitated was the Lethal Kick. Memorize it cause it’s the basis for my lessons. Ready to begin?”

Ben jumped up as soon as Zeff implied that he would teach him and held himself upright so he would show some class. “Ok.” Zeff walked outside to the side of the restaurant and signaled Ben to follow him so he did. The came to a post that had marks near the top and in the gut area. Zeff then stood beside it and tapped it once. “Ok Trout. You mastered the Lethal kick just by imitating me once so let’s see what you can do. Kick this post in the head and stomach as fast as you can.” Ben grinned like he knew he wouldnt have a problem doing it and bounced around a bit to loosen up before he would try to kick the post in the way that Zeff told him to.

Ben got into a kicking position and stepped near the post. He rapidly raised his leg and kicked it once in the head then brought his leg back and kicked it once again in the gut and put his foot back on the ground. “How was that?” Zeff glared at Ben and paced around. "A little too slow kid. You gotta do it fast. Again!” Ben jumped back a little as he got back into his kicking position and stood in front of the post again. He raised his leg again and kicked the post in the head and gut again but a little faster this time. He looked to Zeff waiting to hear his opinion on his attack but his facial expression didn’t change in the least. “Are you even trying at all?!”

Ben glared a bit and tried not to get a temper towards Zeff and took a deep breath. “Sorry Zeff. I will try harder.” He stood up strait and faced the post again in a kicking position but stopped before he was about to strike to think. Zeff said that his kicks were to slow and they were the best that I can do…unless… He looked at the pole again as he thought of a possible solution. He jumped towards the post and landed on his hands just in front of it and did a hand stand. He then kicked the face area quickly and bent his leg around and kicked it in the gut also knocking himself away from it to a kneeling position and he grinned at Zeff. “Better Chef Zeff?”

Zeff looked at him and kicked the post. “Don’t get cocky kid! What was that anyway? I told you to kick the post, not dance with it! Now Kick the post!!” Ben almost fell over at Zeff yelling at him and he regained his balance facing the post again and thinking about how to do this. Normal kicks are too slow and he doesn’t want any special types of moves. It came to the point where Ben just gave up on having any thought out plan at all and just ran at the post full speed. He jumped in the air and kicked the post in the face and while his foot was I the face area, he spun his body and kicked his other foot to the gut of the post knocking him off the post and near Zeff. Zeff smiled and patted Ben on the head. “Ready for the next lesson?”

Ben tapped his foot on the floor of teh ship afew times and shifted his weight over to one leg and looked at Zeff tilting his head slightly. "So what else you go Zeff?" Zeff crossed his arms again and looked towards the kicking post again. "Let's try the Kick Uppercut." He then walked overto the kicking post and kicked it base once unhinging it from the floorboards and connected it to a hook that was right under the post. "Kick this post into the air."
