Akuma's eyes filled with horror as she flashstepped forward and scooped Lucid up into her arms, then teleported a good six feet away from Asmodeus, "What the hell are you doing here?" she hissed as she held Lucid close to her chest, "Haven't you caused enough trouble..."

She kept her eyes on Asmodeus and Ardina, hoping they wouldn't try to attack... Despite how good she felt, Asmodeus seemed to be pretty insistent that she was not completely healed.

Akuma chuckled sarcastically, "Whats wrong? Where would you like me to start Lucid?" she paused for a moment, Mainly to hold back her own tears, "I've put myself through twenty four years of Hell for a man I thought could change... A man I thought loved me... I was wrong."

She released Lucid and stood up, Pulling the vampire to his feet, "You left me. Didn't say a word. My sister said she saw you before you left and asked where you were going, and you just bolted out the door. You know what, Fine, If you want to go so bad, Go!"

After a bit of her rage had passed, she saw the horrible shivering condition he was in and realized he probably had as rough as a time as she did, "Christ Lucid... What the hell happened to you?" She pricked her wrist and held it out to him, "Here..."

Ardina dug her nails into Asmodeus' skin as she held him away from Lucid and Akuma, and prudently wrapped his dagger like nails with protective shields to prevent him from goring her, he wasn't in a normal state of mind and wouldn't recognize her, would only know that she was preventing him from reaching a woman he cared about. A woman who was hurting judging by the expression in Akuma's blue eyes, He would be more receptive to it than her. She struggled to hold him, despite being aided by her craft he was still bigger than her and much stronger, if he unleashed his power he might be able to break free, fortunately it hadn't occurred to him to try anything more than physical. When Akuma began crying it was all she could do to hold him back from tearing Lucid apart, the curse made him much more violent than he had been before, she was holding the worst of it back, shielding him from its effects, but her grip on that spell was slipping as the strain on her body grew and grew.

The ground began to shake, peces of stone clattering down from the cieling as the tunnel was shaken down to its very foundation. In the distance she heard screams, the clash of metal, furious war cries. Her vision went white with fury and terror, Anaphar was under attack!

Lucid latched to her wrist, as he drank his muscles became more defined, and he breathed heavily. but he pulled her wrist away and stepped back from her for a moment. He looked up at Akuma his eyes were nearly glowing. He then pulled her close to him and kissed her passionately. he trailed his lips to her neck and he whispered something, it was barely audible "my bride". he kissed her neck with is teeth and held her tightly to his body.

Lucid pulled away from her neck and looked her in the eyes, "I am sorry i ran. i didnt want to harm you, i hate what i am, i dont want to accept it. thats why i ran. but i dont expect you to forgive me, or take me back either." he looked way, ashamed of himself.

Lucids eyes swelled with tears and he dropped his head, he couldn't bare to look at her. "for better or worse, in sickness and in health, i will always love you" he said in a whisper.
lucid was beginning to feel that emptiness again. his chest eyes and neck began to ache. i thought she needed me, but shes just fine without, and look at me, im the one who needs her. what do i do now? will my son accept me? or will he be even less forgiving that Akuma? everything was turning black, the last he could see were those azure eyes before he fell to the floor.

The tunnel shook again, throwing Ardina to her knees she lost her grip on Asmodeus, but instead of shooting foreword with deadly intent he moved slowly, deliberately and took Lucid from Akuma, he was very light and settled over his right shoulder comfortably, with his other arm he supported Akuma, shielding her with his body as more rocks tumbled from the ceiling.

"We will take him with us." He said firmly, "If for no other reason than there is no where else to go, and we cannot leave him here, Dagon has mounted an attack on Anaphar, he will attempt to reach the Yggdrasil tree, we must be through it and gone before he reaches us."

He noticed the sway in Akuma's step, and swung her over his other shoulder, grumbling something about stubborn women and cliffs. With Ardina right behind them, shielding them from the collapsing ceiling, he hurrued up the stairs and out into the open, it was a small clearing surrounded by high walls of greenery, The Yggdrasil tree itself rose much higher than the walls of the labyrinth, seeming to brush the clouds with the gnarled tips of its highest branches. He got to his knees in front of the tree, lowering Akuma to the ground next to him, he cupped her face in his palm as Ardina began chanting the spell to open the gate.
"Akuma, listen to me, you must picture where you want to go in Enthelda, the more precise the picture, the better the chance we have of making it there in one piece, so you should aim for something familiar, do you understand?"

A roaring sound filled all of their ears and a bright flash of light grew steadily brighter, bathing them all in its glow. Asmodeus took Akuma's hand again, since she would be their guide on this journey, Ardina placed her hand on Akuma's other shoulder while she held tightly to a small woman with a shock of long silvery hair who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, Lucid was tightly held against Asmodeus' shoulder. The world seemed to buck under their feet, throwing them all foreword into the portal opening before them.
